Chapter 30

“Umm… yeah… I never stopped wanting it.” said Nick as Samantha started to smile.

“Really?” asked Samantha smiling as Nick started to smile a little.

“Yeah..” said Nick as he walked up closer to her, “I still do if you do.”

“I do.” said Samantha when she realized her and Nick was face to face.

“This is it then…” said Nick.

“This is what?” asked Samantha.

“The beginning of our lives together…. ” said Nick as he put his hands gently on her face and they began to kiss and stopped, looking in each others eyes.

“I love you..” said Samantha, “I don’t think I’m ever going to let you forget that.”

“I love you too … and guess what?” said Nick as Samantha looked at him.

“What?” asked Samantha.

“The tour is over… I’m free for an entire year…” said Nick as Samantha smiled and hugged him and they kissed again.

“You’re freezing…” said Samantha as she took his wet sweatshirt off and taused it on the floor and looked at him.

“Where’s Megan?” asked Nick as he leaned over to Samantha as if they were goign to kiss.

“Her room asleep..” said Samantha as they kissed and the next thing she knew, Nick was holding her in his arms with her arms around his neck, “Where are we going?”

“Upstairs.. I’m about to freeze….” said Nick as Samantha smiled.

“There’s a fire right down there.” said Samantha as Nick reached the top of the stairs and put her down.

“That’s not the fire I’ve been waiting two years for.” said Nick as he smiled as they began to kiss again and Samantha backed her way into her bedroom.

Nick layed Samantha back on the bed, as he leaned up and took his t-shirt off. He threw it on the floor, bending down to lightly kiss all around her face and neck.

Samantha looked into Nick’s eyes, hoping that all of the love that she saw there was coming out of her own too. She too slipped her shirt off, and they both went to work kissing each other everywhere.

“Nick…” said Samantha as Nick looked up at her to see her looking into his eyes.

“Yeah?” asked Nick out of breath.

“I love you..” said Samantha as Nick smiled.

Nick and Samantha took their time, wanting to savor the everything about each other. Samantha had been dreaming about being with him again for so long. He was sweet, loving, and made her body react in ways she had forgot it could, since last time they were together. It really had been too long.

They spent most of the night just being together and making love. It was almost as if they were making up for lost time, but they knew it was because they couldn’t get enough of each other. Samantha never felt truly safe unless she was in Nick’s arms and now she was, once again and she hoped that she would be for the rest of her life. She finally had gotten what she wanted and so had Nick, and they showed how much they wanted it to each other that night.

Too exhausted to stay awake, Samantha was beginning to fall asleep a few hours later. Nick cuddled her up to him, resting her head on his chest. Minutes later, she fell asleep, with a smile on her face.

“God she is beautiful,” Nick thought to himself, as he ran his fingers lightly through her hair. She shivered a bit, snuggling closer to him. He lay there just staring at her, thanking God for helping him see his way back to her.

Samantha woke up that next morning to feel someone’s fingers making a trail down her arm. She didn’t even realize who it was until she looked back to see Nick smiling at her.

“About time you woke up.” said Nick as Samantha rolled over and looked at him.

“How long have you been up?” asked Samantha.

“I never went to sleep…” said Nick as he leaned over her as they began to kiss, “Hold on just one sec ok…” as he jumped out of bed, and out of Samantha’s bedroom in nothing but a pair of boxers. He ran downstairs, grabbign something out of his back and ran back into Samantha’s room.

“What the hell’s going on?” asked Samantha as Nick got back under the cover as Samantha put her clothes back on, but still in bed under the covers.

“I’m just going to do it becuase I don’t want to waste anytime…” said Nick.

“Nick we did it last night..” said Samantha giggling.

“No… something else… Samantha.. I want…” said Nick when all of a sudden they heard something at the bedroom door.

“Nick!!!” yelled Megan as she ran up to the bed, jumping on it and hugged him.

“Damn hey girl.” said Nick as he hugged her, “I was about to go wake you up in a minute.”

“Mommy, what’s Nick doing in your bed?” asked Megan, “Nick did you spend the night?”

“Yeah..” said Nick, “And guess what?”

“What?” asked Megan.

“I’m gonna spend the night from now on.” said Nick as Megan started to clap and he leaned over to her, “But right now.. shh.. cuz I gotta ask your mama a question.”

“Otay.” said Megan as Samantha looked over at Nick.

“What?” asked Samantha.

“I um… I bought this yesterday morning before we left London… and um.. it won’t look good unless it’s on your finger..” said Nick as he held up a diamond solitare engagement ring.

“Oh my god..” said Samantha.

“So.. Samantha.. will you marry me?” asked Nick as Samantha smiled, nodding her head yes.

“Yes.. yes..” said Samantha as Nick put the ring on her finger and they kissed.

“What about me?” asked Megan, “Where’s my ring?”

“Umm…” said Nick as he looked around, “I’ve got a even better present for you.”

“Really?” asked Megan.

“Yeah…. I’m going to be your daddy.. if you want me to be… do you?” asked Nick.

“YAY!!” yelled Megan as she hugged Nick again and he smiled at Samantha who was smiling and crying at the same time, “Mommy.. Nick’s going to be my daddy.”

“I know baby.” said Samantha as Megan hugged her and then hugged Nick again.

“I take that as a yes?” asked Nick.

“Yeah.. I think so.” said Samantha as she smiled over at him, “Are you sure you want to do this, it isn’t too soon?”

“Sammy, we wasted two years being stupid. I want you, I want Megan. I want us to be a family,” Nick said, looking at her.

Samantha’s eyes welled up with tears. “Are you as happy as I am right now?” she asked.

“You just don’t know how happy I am.” said Nick as he leaned over and kissed her.

“That’s how Mrs. Lizzie and Brittany’s daddy kiss.” said Megan as Nick and Samantha started to laugh as Nick grabbed her, putting her in his lap.

“You know what.. I’ve got everything I’ve ever wanted right here with me now. I couldn’t ask for anything more. My whole life, everything that matters to me most, is sitting on this bed right now.” said Nick as Samantha kissed him again.

“I want cereal! Daddy Nick can you get me some Lucky Charms?” Megan asked, as Samantha and Nick went to laughing.

“Okay, come on,” he said, standing up and lifting Megan into his arms, and going to walk out of the room.

“Nick?” Samantha called to him as he was about to walk out the door.

“Yeah?” he answered, turning around and looking back to see what she wanted.

“Thank you. Thank you for coming back. Thank you for making everything in my life better the whole time I’ve known you. And thanks for always loving me, no matter what.”

“You’re welcome,” Nick said, as he gave her a big ass smile, and walked out the door.
