Chapter 7

Madison woke up that next morning facing the window with the sun in her eyes and felt someone’s arm around her waist. She lifted her head up and looked behind her to see Nick cuddled up next to her asleep. She turned back over and just layed there until she looked behind her again.

“Wake up…” said Madison as Nick started to move a little and took his arm from around her.

“What?” asked Nick waked up and layed back on his back as Madison rolled over and looked at him.

“Don’t put your arm around me while we’re asleep…” said Madison as Nick scwinched his eyes and looked over at her.

“I didn’t..” said Nick.

“Yeah you did.” said Madison.

“Sorry.” said Nick as he stretched, “Damn I don’t wanna get up.”

“Yeah… I’m going to go on and get ready. The flight leaves early right?” asked Madison.

“Yeah.” said Nick as he layed there and covered his face and looked over at her, “Sorry about that.”

“It’s okay.. I’m gonna go get ready.” said Madison as she got out and bed and walked into the bathroom as Nick layed there and rolled over and looked at the bright sun and started to smile as the phone rung and Nick reached over and picked it up.

“Hello?” asked Nick.

“Nickolas Carter you are getting on my damn nerves, we are leaving to catch our flight in 10 sorry make that 9 minutes, if you’re not out there when we are I will personally kick your ass.” said Kevin as Nick sat up in bed and threw the phone down.

“Madison! Hurry up we got 9 mintues before we leave for the airport or Kevin’s gonna kick our.. sorry my ass!” yelled Nick as Madison looked out of the bathroom.

“9 minutes?” asked Madison walking out in her bra and panties.

“Shit almost 8 now…” said Nick as he was trying to put a pair of jeans on, looked up at her and fell over on the floor, “Uh… Hurry up.”

“Shit…” said Madison as she ran over to her suitcase and grabbed a jean skirt out and started to put it on and grabbed a long sleeved white shirt and her jean jacket and put it on while brushing her hair, and throwing everything in bags, “Why the hell do they just now call?” as Nick was trying to put his head through the arm sleeve of his shirt.

“I don’t know, they always do this shit to me man.” said Nick as he fixed his shirt and started getting his stuff together, “Damn 3 minutes.”

“Uhh..” said Madison as she ran in the bathroom to get some of her stuff, “Shit Grace can get some of this and bring it to me.” as she slipped her shoes on and grabbed her important stuff, “I’ll go stop them you hurry up!” as Nick was putting on his shoes and grabbed all of the bags and ran out behind her, shutting the door.

Madison ran out of the front of the hotel to see Brian getting into the dark van that would be taking them to the hotel.

“Brian!!!” yelled Madison as Brian jumped to see Madison running out.

“About time!” yelled Kevin as he looked out of the van as Madison gave her stuff to one of the guys to put in the luggage van.

“Sorry.. we just woke up.” said Madison as Nick can running out with bags falling from his arms and holding bags with his teeth.

“Holy shit.. he looks like a married man.” said AJ as him and Howie watched Nick and Madison in shock . They got all of their stuff in the luggage van and got in the van with the others sitting in the back next to Howie and AJ as AJ looked over at Nick and Madison.

“Rough night?” asked AJ as Nick looked over at him and put his arm around Madison.

“You know it.” said Nick as Madison sighed and looked over at Nick.

“You didn’t even brush your hair.” said Madison as Nick reached for his backpack and pulled out a baseball cap and stuck it on.

“Better darling?” asked Nick as Kevin, Kristin, Brian, Leighanne, Howie, and AJ looked over at him.

“Yes sweetie.” said Madison as they looked up to see them all looking at them.

“What?” asked Nick as they all turned around and looked away. He looked over at AJ and Howie who were still looking at them and started to laugh.

“Dude.. what has Nick been smoking.” whispered AJ to Howie as Howie looked at him and shook his head no and shruggged his shoulders.

Madison looked over at Nick who was wanting to laugh and was about to make her laugh as Kevin looked back at them.

“So Mr. and Mrs. Can’t Get Up On Time, Nick we didn’t get you a hotel room in NYC.” said Kevin.

“Huh.. why?” asked Nick.

“Madison lives there…. I would expect you would stay at your wife’s place.” said Kevin as Nick looked at Madison.

“Oh I forgot about that.” said Nick, “We’re still learning things about each other, like where we live…”

“I bet that’s not all.” said Brian under his breath as Nick hit him upside the head.

“Alright church boy.” said Nick as Brian looked back at him giving him a I know what you’ve been doing look.

“Nick.. stop.” said Madison as Nick looked over at her and left Brian alone as Kevin, Brian, Kristin, Leighanne, Howie, and AJ all looked back at Nick.

“Holy shit.. he is a married man.” said Kevin as Kristin tapped him on the shoulder and he turned back around.

“Man what is she doing to him.” said AJ in complete shock.

“Nothing.” said Madison as she looked at AJ as she looked in her backpack purse and saw a napkin as she pulled it out and looked at it, “What’s this?”

“Huh?” asked Nick as he looked over to see what was written on the napkin, “555-4920 Call me or just come on over here and meet me right now, love Nick. Dude that’s my cell number.” as he grabbed the napkin, “That’s my handwriting.”

“Umm…. from the party I guess.” said Madison.

“Well I guess we know what you decided to do, go meet him.” said AJ laughing as Nick looked over at Madison.

“I don’t remember that.” said Nick as he gave it back to Madison as she started to put on a little make up.

“Oh well… I dunno…” said Madison as she put her stuff back in her purse and looked over at him, “So you were the culprit.. you got me to go over to talk to you.”

“BUT….you fell for it.” said Nick.

“True..” said Madison as she started to laugh, “Oh well…”

“Oh well…” said Nick as they arrived at the airport.

Several hours had passed and they landed in New York City. Madison and Nick slept most of the flight, but when they landed, the other guys went on to their hotel and rest of for the rest of the day while Madison and Nick headed to her apartment .

“Damn… this is a nice building.” said Nick as Madison started to laugh.

“Yeah….” said Madison as she unlocked her apartment door and hit the security code which caused the lights to come. She walked in and sat some of the bags she was holding down and Nick walked in looking around.

“This is nice… how many bedrooms?” asked Nick.

“Three… one is mine, one is Grace’s when she stays and one is Caley’s when she stays.” said Madison.

“Caley.. the little sister?” asked Nick as Madison nodded her head yes, “I figured when you were telling your dad to go in Caley’s room last night on the phone.”

“Umm.. yeah… just like put your stuff somewhere.. I’ve gotta go check my messages and stuff. Hell you’re my husband, make yourself at home.” said Madison as Nick started to laugh and walked over and started looking through her CD’s while Madison went in her bedroom.

“Faith Hill….. Tim McGraw…. Shania Twain… Brad Paisley… all country….” Nick thought as he kept going, “Eminem…. damn that’s a hell of a combination, Jay Z… Xhibit… Lenny Kravitz… Kid Rock…. Metallica…. NSync…..”

“Madison I thought you said you didn’t like NSync?” asked Nick as Madison was looking through her mail as she walked back in.

“I don’t… it’s for when Caley comes.” said Madison as she walked into another room and Nick kept looking and talking to himself.

“Britney Spears…. Mandy Moore…. Backstreet Boys…. Backstreet Boys… damn she’s got 5 of our CD’s, she be playin’ me for a fool.” he thought as he started to laugh, “Ja Rule, Warrent, damn she got some fucked up CD’s.”

“Madison you got some fucked up CD’s…” said Nick as Madison walked out of the other room up to thim and started to laugh.

“Yeah.. what did you think you were gonna come in and see the biggest country collection ever?” asked Madison as Nick nodded his head yes, “That’s back in Atlanta…..”

“Yeah.. I know you’re hiding them somewhere.” said Nick as he looked up on the shelf to see a picture of Madison and another guy, “Who’s this?” as he showed Madison the picture and she walked up to him and took it from him.

“Luke.. my boy… well ex-boyfriend.. I’m married now.” said Madison as she took the picture out of the frame, “Maybe we should put our wedding picture in there. I really need to call him.”

“Yeah… I called my girlfriend after I went back to my room that morning. You haven’t called him yet?” asked Nick, “How long have you been together?”

“No I haven’t.. umm on and off for the past 2 years.” said Madison, “I’m gonna go in and call him.”

“Okay… I’ll stay out here.” said Nick as Madison walked into her room and shut the door as he stood there looking at her movies.

“Grease…. My Best Friends Wedding…. Dazed and Confused….. The Goonies.. dude!” said Nick outloud as Madison opened the door.

“What?” asked Madison holding the phone in her hand.

“Nothing… go call him.” said Nick as Madison shut the door and he looked back through the movies, “Breakfeast Club, Pretty In Pink, Sweet Sixteen, Ferris Bullers Day Off, Weird Science, Pure Country, Mission Impossible, Urban Cowboy.. damn she’s like a 80′s freak… Cool…”

Nick stood there looking at her CD’s and movies and looked around to see a picture of Madison, Grace, and what he guessed was her family. He stood there looking at different pictures as Madison walked out of her room.

“Well he already knew and said he was waiting for my call.” said Madison.

“Damn… well…” said Nick, “Is that your family up here?” as he pointed to the picture.

“Yeah that’s all of them.” said Madison, “Um.. you can go take your stuff in my room if you want to or whatever.” as Nick looked at her.

“I thought you’d put me on the sofa or in one of the other rooms.” said Nick.

“The sofa isn’t comfortable and Grace and Caley hate when someone sleeps in their beds.” said Madison.

“Oh okay…” said Nick as he walked over and picked up his bags and got hers and took them in her room. He walked into her bedroom to see a big bedroom with a big white fluffy bed and big post on the bed. He sat them down on the floor and walked back out to see Madison over by the window looking out as he walked over and looked into the kitchen and check out the rest of the apartment.

“This is a nice place.” said Nick.

“Yeah…” said Madison, “Umm the time where we have time off… before we go to the awards alone in Decemeber…. where do we stay.. my place or yours?”

“Well Thanksgiving… we’re going to your familys and then we’re going to go to mine… so I guess we could come back here, but then the Billboard Awards are in Las Vegas and I was going to take Aaron because we’re presenting.. so.. after we leave the keys we can take Aaron and go on out there… have a little vacation or something.” said Nick.

“That works out good.” said Madison as Nick started to laugh.

“Every married couple goes on vacation once in their marriage.. that can be ours.” said Nick laughing as Madison started to laugh and looked over at him as she looked back out the window.
