“Umm…” said Madison as she looked over at Caley and her mother.

“Come on Madison…” said Caley as Madison looked up at her ceiling and back over at Grace.

“The best I’ve had…” said Madison as Grace started to laugh.

“Well that’s not a lot considering…” said Grace as Madison put her hand over her face.

“Considering what?” asked Mary.

“Nothing mom, nothing, nothing at all.” said Madison as she looked over at Grace with an evil eye.

“Well…. I’m going to go on downstairs and start to get dinner ready okay.” said Mary as she smiled and walked out of Madison’s room. Madison walked over, shutting her door and looked back at Grace, pointing her finger at her.

“Grace, damn it, don’t say another word.” said Madison.

“What?” asked Caley.

“Nothing..” said Grace and Madison at the same time looking at each other as Caley started to laugh.

“Oh my god you were a virgin weren’t you, that’s why you got married so fast so you could sleep together isn’t it?” asked Caley laughing as Madison looked over at her.

“No.. that’s not why we got married.” said Madison as she rolled her eyes and put her hands on her hips

“But you were, I know not too long ago you were still but then that’s when Luke went up to New York and stayed with you about like a week shacked up in some hotel and dad was wanting to kill you both, so I don’t know.” said Caley, “But then again you might have been…”

“Shit, alright, yes I was.” said Madison, “Damn keep it a secret.”

“Doesn’t Nick know?” asked Caley.

“No…. he doesn’t.” said Madison, “So there… don’t say a word or you’ll never meet O-Town or NSync or Britney okay.”

“Uhh okay.” said Caley, “I promise… I won’t say a thing.”

“Good…” said Madison as she looked over at Grace, “Just… stop being such a smart ass okay Grace…. stop all the little comments about Nick, they get on my nerves.”

“Uhh takin’ up for husband…” said Grace.

“Grace.. I mean it. I’m tired of it okay. Don’t make me leave because if we do, I’ll tell dad why and then…. you’ll be bitched at.” said Madison.

“I can always tell dad something to.” said Grace as Madison looked over at Caley, “Caley go out of the room.” as Caley got up and walked out.

“Yeah and I can deny it. You weren’t with me the whole time.. I could have been seeing Nick behind your back, what do you know?” asked Madison.

“I won’t say anything to dad Maddie, but damn…. just seeing you and Nick being like this is just so damn funny… I can’t help it.” said Grace.

“Just to.. just keep it to yourself okay.” said Madison, “I’m not perfect… I made a mistake and now I gotta live with it for the next like week… one more week to go okay. And you’ll like never have to see Nick Carter again.”

“Okay…” said Grace, “But you two just make such a cute couple…”

“Uh what-e-ver…” said Madison as she turned around to walk out, opening the door to see Nick standing there at the door about to walk out.

“Well hey sugar lips.” said Nick, “Sister in law!”

“We can’t stop all that now.” said Grace as Nick looked over at Madison.

“Uh oh.. she bit ya head off didn’t she?” asked Nick laughing.

“Yes she did..” said Grace as she started to walk between them, “Have fun.. don’t be too loud now.” as she walked off and Madison rolled her eyes.

“So.. how’s it going with my dad?” asked Madison.

“Pretty good.” said Nick smiling.

“That’s cool…” said Madison.

“We were talking about football. He likes Tampa Bay too.”

“Yeah I could have told ya that.” said Madison laughing.

“So.. am I doing good so far?” asked Nick nervously as Madison started to smile and nodded her head yes.

“Yeah…., you’re doing really good.” said Madison as she saw Jeff’s shadow standing outside her door as she hugged Nick.

“Jeff’s standing out there.” whispered Madison softly as Nick started to smile.

“I love you too.” said Nick as he leaned over and they started to kiss passionately and Jeff knocked on the door.

“Oh, sorry kids, um, Madison, mom wants you downstairs.” said Jeff as Madison gave Nick another little kiss and walked out and Jeff looked over at Nick, “Well.. sorry about that.”

“It’s okay.” said Nick as he nodded his head a little and looked around, “So this is Madison’s old bedroom?”

“Yep.” said Jeff as Nick walked over to a bookshelf to see different pictures.

“Who are all these people?” asked Nick pointing at some pictures of Madison and some other people around her age.

“Friends from high school… she’s barely been here since she graduated.” said Jeff, “She moved up to Nashville with me and my wife.”

“Madison was a cheerleader?” asked Nick starting to a laugh a little.

“Yeah, for about 3 games and she quit.” said Jeff laughing.

“Oh for real?” asked Nick laughing as he smiled.

“Yeah… it interfered with her singing at church.” said Jeff.

“Yeah, we’re um we’re gonna start going to church and stuff.” said Nick as he nodded his head yes, “If we like get time and at one place for long enough.”

“Yeah…. like our parents made sure we grew up like that.” said Jeff, “All these morals and values and stuff like that. So one fair warning, don’t curse around him.”

“Okay.. I won’t, so what’s your dad do? I don’t think Madison’s ever told me, maybe I never asked.” asked Nick.

“He’s a youth minister.” said Jeff as Nick looked confused.

“That’s cool…” said Nick as he looked back at Jeff, “So this Luke guy.. he won’t be coming around?”

“Well it is Thanksgiving and his family lives here…. but.. from what Madison said when I talked to her about six weeks ago that her and Luke broke up for good.” said Jeff as Nick looked over at him, “Probably because of you.”

“Yeah… probably.” said Nick laughing as he turned his back to Jeff and looked around looking confused.

“What’s up?” asked Madison as she walked downstairs into the kitchen to see Mary standing there getting ready to cook dinner.

“You wanna help me cook, since your married, you need to learn how.” said Mary as Madison started to laugh.

“Well the guys got me us a cookbook…..” said Madison.

“Guys?” asked Mary.

“The other guys in the group. Ya know, um Brian, he’s married to a girl from here. Her name is Leighanne Wallace. Nick said that their house is like 3 miles from here.” said Madison.

“Yeah she’s an actress… yes I remember when they got married in Atlanta, it was all over the papers and news.” said Mary.

“Yeah…. well that’s Brian’s wife.” said Madison.

“That’s nice.” said Mary as Madison stood there wanting to ask her something but couldn’t.

“Can I ask you something?” asked Madison.

“You know you can.” said Mary as Madison stood there with her hands on the counter and looking down as Mary looked over at her, “What’s wrong?”

“Do you think Daddy likes Nick?” asked Madison.

“Yeah, he does.” said Mary, “He told me that he seemed like a good boy and then I sent him to pick up something from the store.”

“For real, he does?” asked Madison, “I like….”

“Didn’t think he would?” asked Mary.

“Yeah…. being who Nick is and ya know Dad had all these beliefs that you have to get married for the right reasons and start a home and all this. He didn’t want any of us to get married when we were young.” said Madison.

“But you did…. why?” asked Mary.

“Yeah I did…. I just… ” said Madison as she stood there thinking of something good to say that would reel her mother into the lie that her and Nick were creating, “I loved him so much that I didn’t want to spend one more minute without him. At the party, we just decided that we’d take that leap and we did and we haven’t regreted it.” as Mary smiled.

“Well I like him. He’s very different than Luke, you know I never cared for him.” said Mary as Madison rolled her eyes.

“I know..” said Madison, “Luke and Nick are like black and white, they are total oppisites…” said Madison.

“I like Nick much better, Grace told me and your father that she can tell that you really love each other. Caley did too. She’s crazy about Nick.” said Mary.

“Yeah….” said Madison as she smiled as Nick walked into the kitchen with Jeff.

“What’s cooking?” asked Nick as he walked over and put his arm around Madison.

“Right now I don’t know, whatever Charles picks up from the store.” said Mary, “What would you like?”

“Oh.. whatever you wanna fix. I haven’t had a homecooked meal in umm about 2 months or so.” said Nick as he started to laugh.

“Oh well you’ll have one tonight, Jeff, is Jana asleep?” asked Mary.

“She’s upstairs with Grace and Caley.” said Jeff as he looked over at Madison and Nick.

“So is anybody else coming tomorrow?” asked Madison.

“Nope, just us.” said Mary as Nick looked over at Madison and smiled and Jeff kept looking at them.
