“You got married, everybody knows it now.” said Kevin.

“So what… hell dude, we don’t even know each other…. this ain’t gonna work.” said Nick.

“I’m with him..” said Madison.

“No look…. Madison… they said it would be good publicity for your career and then with us and the album coming out in like 2 weeks Nick… it would be great publicity.” said Kevin as Nick started to get upset.

“Dude, Kevin, no… that’s like damn Brian what’s the word??” asked Nick.

“Unethical..” said Brian.

“Something like that.. unethical yeah that fits well.. this like is whack man. You’re suppose to marry someone because you love them, not for publicity.” said Nick.

“I’m for real.. I don’t need it that bad.” said Madison.

“You were already married.. and you’re also not suppose to get married because you’re drunk.” said Kevin as Nick rolled his eyes.

“We didn’t know…” said Madison.

“We’re aware of that.” said Howie.

“Dude..” said Nick as he looked at Howie, “You’re not with him are ya D?”

“Umm kind of.” said Howie as Nick looked confused.

“I’m not staying married to someone I don’t know.” said Madison, “I’m sorry, I’ll file for divorce.”

“I’m with her.” said Nick.

“See a great marriage, you always agree.” said AJ as he laughed.

“Dude.. uhhh…..” said Nick as he was getting pissed off.

“Madison.. he’s got a point.. it would be good publicity.” said Grace as Madison looked over at her, “Mangement seems to think so.”

“Grace.. no.” said Madison.

“She’s right Madison.” said Kevin as Madison looked at him.

“Listen no.. see I have a boyfriend, I can’t be married to him.” said Madison.

“I have a girlfriend, I can’t be married to you.” said Nick.

“Neither of you have a girlfriend or boyfriend anymore… you have each other.” said Kevin as both Madison and Nick looked at him confused.

“Well.. Mrs. Carter…” said AJ as he shook Madison’s hand, “Nice to meet ya.”

“Oh my god…” said Madison as she shook her head no, “I don’t like this. I’m going to go call them myself. Can I use your phone?”

“Yeah over there.” said Nick as he pointed at it. Madison walked over to the phone and dialed her manager Chris’ number from The Firm.

“Hello?” asked Chris answering the phone as Madison put him on speaker phone.

“Chris.. it’s Madison can you hear me?” asked Madison.

“Yeah…” said Chris, “I need to speak with you.”

“I’m in Nick umm what’s your last name?” asked Madison.

“Carter.” said Nick, Brian, Howie, AJ, and Kevin at the same time.

“I’m in Nick Carter’s room and Kevin said that he talked with you guys about umm the little accident last night.” said Madison.

“Yes he did, did he tell you what we said.” said Chris.

“Umm… yes.” said Madison.

“Chris.. it’s Nick. I don’t think that will work.” said Nick.

“For right now it will.” said Chris.

“Umm no it won’t.” said Nick.

“Nick, Madison, you both got married to each other. It’s already been leaked to the page. Hell it made the front of the New York Times and LA Times. All of your fans know that you are married now. They think you’ve been dating and kept it a secret. You don’t want to present a bad image of yourself and say you were drunk and married a stranger.” said Chris, “You understand?”

“Yeah…” said Madison.

“Nick?” asked Chris as Nick stood there looking pissed, “Nick, you there?”

“Yeah.. yeah I get it.” said Nick.

“Plus.. Richard, who handles most of your guys stuff, said that it would be good publicity since… the album is going to come out. You wanna outdue NSync and you marrying another star like Madison, it would cause press which in return would cause you both to sell more albums and become more successful. Do you both get where I’m coming from?” asked Chris.

“Yeah….” said Madison.

“I get it….” said Nick.

“So… when someone from the press ask you, are you happy? What do you say?” asked Chris.

“Thrilled..” said Nick sarcastically.

“Not in that tone of voice.” said Chris.

“Alright..” said Nick as he looked over at Madison, “Uhh shit… alright.”

“Okay.. I will call you later Madison. Guys.. Richard will talk to you later.” said Chris.

“Bye.” said Madison as she hung up the speak phone and looked at them.

“Well Nick.. you see it wasn’t us.” said Kevin as Nick looked back at them.

“Yeah.. I know…” said Nick, “Can I talk to umm hell my wife alone?” as AJ and Howie started to laugh.

“Yeah.. come on guys..” said Brian as they walked out and Grace followed them out.

“Well…” said Nick as he turned around and looked at Madison.

“We can get a divorce…. they can’t tell us what to do.” said Madison.

“Yeah…” said Nick as he walked around biting his lower lip, “Umm…. then we can do what they say.”

“Yeah… it would be good publicity…. then if people knew that we were drunk and got married and slept together….. it would like let down people’s image of us…” said Madison.

“Yeah.. exactly.” said Nick, “Do it for a few months, let it settle down in a month or two… and we’ll get a divorce.”

“That’s not a bad idea.” said Madison.

“No.. it’s not.” said Nick, “That could work.”

“So we’re gonna play it out for a little while, a month or so…. and then we’ll say we were young, we made a mistake…. and get a divorce.” said Madison.

“Yeah… that’ll… that’ll do it.” said Nick, “I’m really really sorry about this. If I knew what I were doing, I wouldn’t have done it.”

“Umm.. yeah I know. Me either.” said Madison, “I need to go call my family….”

“We’ve been seeing each other secretly.” said Nick.

“How long?” asked Madison.

“Umm… we met at The Firm, we’ll say that. Umm we met at the firm back over the summer, and we’ve been going out secretly and we just decided to do it.” said Nick.

“Okay… so you’re name is Nickolas Carter, you’re in the Backstreet Boys, you’re like 20, 21?” asked Madison.

“20.. I’ll be 21 January 28th.” said Nick.

“Okay.. I’m 20, I’ll be 21 Valentine’s Day.” said Madison.

“Cool.. I can remember that.” said Nick, “Where are you from, like your family?”

“Near Atlanta.” said Madison, “But I live in New York City. I got an apartment there about three weeks ago.”

“I thought you were country?” asked Nick.

“I am, I just like NYC.” said Madison, “Where do you live?”

“I have a house in Tampa, but I’m gonna sale it and I just bought one in the keys.” said Nick.

“Okay… so we know enough to cover for right now. I need to go call them.” said Madison.

“Okay bye sweetie.” said Nick as Madison looked at him.

“Oh boy I’m not gonna like this.” said Madison as she walked out his room and Nick looked around shaking his head no.

“I don’t think I’m gonna like this either.” said Nick as he went to pick up the phone to call his parents.
