Caley walked out of her room a little bit later to see Nick sitting there writing in a notebook. She walked over and sat down across from him on the sofa as Nick looked up to see her, and he stopped writing.

“Where’s Madison and Grace at?” asked Caley as Nick started to laugh.

“Grace went in her room and I think Madison went to take a bath.” said Nick as he closed the notebook and looked over and smiled at her.

“So what are you doing?” asked Caley.

“Writing…..” said Nick, “Just some ideas and stuff.”

“For songs?” asked Caley.

“Yeah… kind of, so… what grade are you in?” asked Nick.

“8th grade, but I’m homeschooled so… I can go around with Madison sometimes and stay up here with her. Grace and my mom are my teachers.” said Caley.

“That’s cool…” said Nick as he closed his pen up before it dried up.

“So do you love my sister?” asked Caley as Nick started to laugh.

“Grace is an alright girl, I don’t know her that well…” said Nick as Caley started to laugh.

“I meant Madison…” said Caley.

“Hey I married her didn’t I?” asked Nick smiling.

“Yeah so people get married that don’t love each other get married all the time, what makes you two different, do you like really really love her?” asked Caley as Grace started to come out of her room. She heard them talking and stood there with the door cracked and listened to Nick and Caley.

“Yeah people do get married for the wrong reasons all the time…..” said Nick.

“But do you love her?” asked Caley.

“Well I haven’t known her that long, but… yeah I love her.” said Nick, “I just… I dunno, but I do.. hey why else would I marry her?”

“I guess that’s true.” said Caley, “I’m glad that you love her, I hated her old boyfriend. He was a pain in everybody’s ass.”

“So I’ve heard…” said Nick as Grace walked out.

“Well, Caley are you getting to know your new brother-in-law?” asked Grace as she walked in and sat down in a chair, smiling at Nick.

“Umm yeah I guess so.” said Caley as she started to laugh when Madison peeked her head out of the door.

“Nick…..” said Madison as Nick jumped and turned around.

“What?” asked Nick.

“Come on in here…” said Madison smiling as Nick looked at Caley and Grace smiling.

“Well ladies.. it’s been loving, but I’ve got some things I have to tend to.” said Nick as he got up, “See you in the morning.”

“Goodnight..” said Caley and Grace as Nick walked into Madisons room and shut the door.

“Do you think Nick loves Madison?” asked Grace.

“I think so… I think it’s cool.” said Caley as she smiled, “Madison looks happy. Mom and Dad doesn’t really like it, but I think once they meet Nick, they’ll be okay with it.”

“She does look happy doesn’t she?” asked Grace, sitting there thinking.

“Yeah…” said Caley smiling.

“Okay babydoll what is it?” asked Nick as he shut Madison’s door and walked up to her, putting his arms around her waist as she pushed him off, falling onto the bed, “You play rough huh?”

“Nick.. no.. I was just doing that because Grace and Caley were in there… go take a bath or whatever you do in there, I don’t wanna know.” said Madison as Nick started to laugh.

“Oh be funny why don’t ya.” said Nick laughing as he got off of the bed and walked over and took his watch off, laying it on Madison’s vanity, “So.. you ready for Europe?”

“Yeah it should be cool.” said Madison as she walked over to the bed, reading a newspaper, “Okay.. this is weird, some reporter claims they have seen us together, two months ago here in New York.”

“Huh?” asked Nick as he turned around and looked at her, “They gotsta be trippin…. I didn’t know you two months ago, hell I didn’t know you three days ago.”

“I know.. must have meant Luke…” said Madison.

“He doesn’t look a thing like me. “said Nick as Madison started to laugh.

“I know.. it’s whack.” said Madison as Nick looked back at her again and pointed at her.

“Alright.. don’t take my words.” said Nick as Madison started to laugh and smiled at her.

“Alright….” said Madison as Nick smiled at her and walked into the bathroom, shutting the door. Madison sat there looking over at the door. She started to laugh a little as she looked down at the newspaper and then looked back up at the bathroom door.

“19 days…” Madison thought as she looked back down and started reading.

Nick walked out of the bathroom to see Madison laying there on the bed in her pj’s, looking up at the ceiling singing some song while listening to her walkman. He just stood there and listened to her in the bathroom doorway.

Nick stood there clapping as Madison stopped singing, taking her earphones off, and seeing Nick.

“Uh.. sorry.. I was listening to this demo.” said Madison as she sat up on the bed.

“That sounded good….” said Nick as he shut the bathroom door.

“You think…” said Madison.

“Oh yeah… it did.” said Nick, “That’s like the only time I’ve seen you sing live besides on the awards that night.” as he started to laugh.

“Private performance.” said Madison as she started to laugh and Nick winked at her.

“Can I get another one?” asked Nick.

“Hell no…” said Madison as Nick sat up on the bed and picked up another demo and looked at it.

“One In A Million”, what’s that about?” asked Nick as he looked over at Madison, laying the demo back down.

“I dunno, haven’t listened to it yet. I’ve still got to cut a few more songs.. that’s what I’m going to do in Nashville while you guys are doing that 100 hour tour.” said Madison.

“Sweet…” said Nick as she started to laugh.

“Yeah…” said Madison as she put the walkman and demos back in her backpack and put them beside her bed. She leaned over and turned the light out and layed back in bed, looking over at Nick.

“What?” asked Nick as Madison shook her head no.

“Nothing.” said Madison as Nick got under the covers and layed down, “I think I’m gonna go get something to drink.” as she got out of bed and walked out to see Grace sitting in the living room watching TV.

“Ohhh she’s up.” said Grace as Madison walked into the kitchen and grabbed a bottled water, opening it and taking a swallow. Then she walked over and sat down right next to Grace on the sofa and looked over at her.

“What?” asked Madison.

“Can I ask you something?” asked Grace.

“What?” asked Madison.

“You seem to be really enjoying this marriage thing.” said Grace.

“It can be fun at times.” said Madison.

“And… you are taking it a step farther than most people lying about a marriage would by sleeping in the same bed.” said Grace as Madison looked over at her while drinking a swallow of water.

“No one ever said anything was going on.” said Madison as she started to smile.

“No one ever said anything wasn’t going on did they?” asked Grace as Madison looked away and looked back at her.
