Chapter 35
Chapter Thirty - Five
Elisabeth laid there in bed, with her head on Nick’s shoulder, and her other arm wrapped around him. Nick had one of his arms wrapped around her, and the other, playing with left hand, which her ring was on. They just laid there, not really saying anything at all, and listened to each other breathe. Every so often Elisabeth would kiss him on his shoulder and then Nick would kiss her forehead while running his fingers up and down her back slowly, causing her to have goose bumps.
She couldn’t really believe what had happened. She had been thinking about being with someone for years, ever since she knew what sex was. She had dreamed about it and tried to imagine what it was going to be like, but nothing actually compared to it. Her thoughts and dreams about it didn’t even live up to it because it was so much better.
She had been planning on that happened for the past few days. All of her little list that she made, about why Nick was her ‘one’, lead up to it. Actually, the final total of reasons came up to 1,854. So she had 1,854 reasons why he was her one. She just wasn’t expecting to tell him that she would marry him yet. She laid there, watching his chest rise as he breathed, wondering if she told him that because she felt somewhat guilty after Aaron had told her she hurt him.
But after what had just happened, she knew she wanted to marry him.
“Like your ring?” Nick asked as Elisabeth held her head up a little, smiling at him. He held her hand up, modeling the ring slightly and she laughed, leaning up to kiss along his jaw line, “Well?”
“Yes, I love it,” Elisabeth whispered as he smile at her, leaning over to kiss her slowly. Elisabeth kissed him back gently, moving down to kiss his neck, sucking on it lightly as Nick giggled, “Are you happy?”
“Yes,” Nick whispered as Elisabeth stopped kissing him and looked up at him, “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my entire life,” he said as Elisabeth scooted up a little, looking him in the eyes, “The woman I’m in love with told me that she would marry me,” he said as Elisabeth smiled. “Then I got to make love to her. It can’t get any better than this,”
“No, it can’t,” Elisabeth said as she moved up, straddling and laid down top of him, kissing him deeply. He moved his arms around her, kissing her back as she started to giggle, breaking the kiss, “When are we going to get married?”
“Whenever you want,”
“Slowly,” Elisabeth said as Nick nodded his head, agreeing with her, “Let’s just take it slowly. There’s no need to rush into anything. We know that we’re meant for one another,”
“Then what’s the use in waiting?” Nick asked as he looked at her, “I mean I’ll wait as long as you want, but what’s the point in waiting if we already know we’re meant for one another?” Elisabeth took a deep breath and looked down. He had a point again and she hated it when he had valid points, “Do you want a big wedding?”
“Hmm, not too big,” Elisabeth said as she smiled at him, “I want my father to give me away. I want my fucked up family there. I want your family there. I don’t have any friends really, so, a few people. I don’t want it to be huge though,”. Nick smiled, moving his arms from behind her, and propped himself up on the bed, causing them both to sit up.
“I want whatever you want,” Nick said as Elisabeth smiled again. For some reason, she couldn’t stop smiling. She moved her hands down, grabbing Nick’s hands, causing him to fall back on the bed. Nick smiled as she intertwined their fingers together, and leaned down, kissing him passionately.
It does.
Last night when I was with Nick, I could feel my heart beating out of my chest and it was as if fireworks went off all around me. If I looked over his shoulder, I could see this huge, blue firework shoot up into the air and explode. Okay so really, that didn’t happen, but it felt like it.
I do know now, and I am absolutely 200% sure that I’m in love with Nick, he’s my ‘one’ and I want to spend the rest of my life with him. I want to marry him, have his children, and live happily ever after. I really didn’t think when he showed up that night after coming into town, telling me that he wanted me back and asked me to marry him that I would ever do it. I really thought that there was no chance in hell, but I didn’t want to tell him no.
I guess being with him, and talking to him just made me realize how much I really do love him. Being close to him like I have that one night made me realize how much I really wanted to be with him. I wanted to be with him forever. I want to make love to him every single night for the rest of my life because it’s just that good. It’s not the sex really, it’s just the fact of being with someone that I love so much, and I want to be at ‘one’ with them, and damn if that doesn’t sound cheesy.
I’m in love. It’s supposed to be cheesy. People are supposed to look at us and gag. Well actually, Aaron already did that, but he doesn’t count. I don’t care if I make anybody sick. I’m happy and I think that’s all that really matters.
I’ve found my ‘one’.
“I… love what you have on,” Nick whispered as she looked down at her blue, white, and aqua bikini top, and white cut off jean shorts, “I could just eat it off of you,” Elisabeth looked in shock and laughed at him, wrapping her arms around his neck even more, “I can’t help it, I’m frisky,”
“I love it when you’re frisky,” Elisabeth whispered, giving him a kiss, and stood up, walking over to a table, looking over her schedule, “Meet in the lobby at eleven a.m.,” she said as she turned around and looked back at Nick, “This is going to be a day from hell. I so do not want to show him around this place because one, he’s going to hit on me all day, and two, I don’t know my way around this place. I didn’t explore it last night,”
“Explored something else,” Nick whispered as Elisabeth started to giggle, and looked away, blushing. He stood up, walking over to her, and wrapped his arms around her, looking her in the eyes, “Thank you again,”
“No thank you,” Elisabeth said as she smiled, leaning up to kiss him when her cell phone rung, “Uh, hold on,” she said, reaching over for her cell which was lying on the table beside her schedule, “Hello?” Nick stood there watching her as she talked on the phone, rolling her eyes at whoever it was, which was obviously Andrew, her producer, and threw her hand in the air, flipping it, “Bye,”
“Who was it?” Nick asked as Elisabeth turned her phone off, and looked back over at Nick, “What?”
“You can’t come along. It may cause a distraction,” Elisabeth said as she started to pout, “I’m sorry baby,” Nick stuck his bottom lip out, pouting, “Awww baby, I’m sorry,” she said, as she walked up to him, hugging him tightly, “Trust me, I would must rather spend the day with you, instead of them,”
“I know,” Nick said as he smiled at her, “I’ll chill around here. Go around town, maybe go shopping at some place. Find some of those cool shell necklaces ya know? Go out to the beach. Call my everybody and brag that the most beautiful girl in the entire world said she would marry me,” Elisabeth just grinned in return, “When are you going to tell yours?”
“Tonight,” Elisabeth said as she smiled, “I’ll call them both,”
“Okay,” Nick said as he looked down at what she was wearing again, “You better get going, it’s almost eleven,”
“I know,” Elisabeth whispered as she leaned up, kissing him deeply again. Nick began to take her mouth into his, sucking on her tongue gently as Elisabeth backed away smiling, looking into her eyes, “See ya this afternoon,”
“Okay,” Nick said as Elisabeth grabbed her cell phone, schedule, and put her sunglasses on top of her head, “See ya then,”
“Bye,” Elisabeth said as she leaned up, kissing him again as she walked over to the door. Nick looked over his shoulder, watching her walk out, and then took his cell phone out of his pocket, looking at it. Who would he tell first? One of the guys? Aaron? His parents? He sighed, turning it on and hitting a random number, sticking it up to his ear. He hoped it wasn’t his manager or anything he hit. That would go over really well.
“Hello?”
Nick sighed in relief.
“Aaron, dude,” Nick said as he started to laugh, “Guess what man?” Nick could feel Aaron’s eyes roll from the excitement in Nick’s voice. Nick sat there on the bed, smiling like a jackass, ready to tell the world.
“What?”
“Elisabeth said yes, we’re going to get married!” Nick said as he jumped up off the bed, picking up a baseball cap from his luggage and put it on his head. He looked in the mirror and then smiled, walking over to the door, “Aaron you there?”
“Yeah man, I think I’m in shock. So you’re going to get married for real? Holy shit,” Aaron muttered as Nick laughed, reaching in his pocket to make sure he had the hotel room key. He smiled, seeing that he did and walked out of the room, going down to the elevator which was already opened, and walked in, hitting the lobby floor, “So what did it?”
“I have no idea. We were on the beach here in Daytona, and she just started saying yes over and over and told me yes. Then we came back to the room, and well, we made love,” Nick said as Aaron cracked up laughing at him. The elevator doors opened and Nick walked off, standing there in front of the elevators, listening to Aaron laugh, “Dude, it’s not funny. God it was so great. I’ve never experienced anything like that,” he said as he put his finger in his other ear, so that he could hear Aaron better.
“Man, you are really whipped now. So when are you going to get married? Can I tell mom and dad?” Aaron asked as Nick rolled his eyes at him, “Come on man, let me tell them. Please? I’ll beg,”
“No, I’m going to tell them,” Nick said a she laughed, “Listen man, Elisabeth’s gone to work and shit for the day and I’m gonna go look around and stuff. I’ll call them later today, don’t you say shit to them alright?” He could feel Aaron nodding into the phone and he laughed, “Okay?”
“Okay man,” Aaron said, “Congrats bro,”
“Thanks, later,” Nick said as he smiled, closing his phone and sticking it back in his pocket of his shorts. He walked up to the counter in the lobby, waiting for someone to come up and help him. He looked down at some papers on the counter, propping his elbows up on it.
“Can I help you?” a lady asked as she walked up to Nick smiling. Nick smiled back and put both of his hands on the counter, looking at her.
“Yes, can you have as many white roses as you can find sent to room 612 before five or so this afternoon?” Nick asked as a blonde walked up beside Nick at the counter, taking her credit card out of her purse, “It’s for my fiancée,”
“Yes sir Mr. Carter,” the lady said as she smiled, walking away from the window and Nick reached down in his pocket to take his cell phone out when he noticed someone looking at him.
“Nick?”, the blonde asked as Nick froze, looking around, and then turned his head looking at her.
“Samantha?”
