“Damn door!” Kevin yelled as he pushed the door open to see Kelsey, Rachel, and David standing there, “Oh.. my.”

“Hi.” Rachel said as she looked over at Kelsey who looked over at her.

“Hi.” Kevin said as Howie walked up to the elevator and they both walked in.

“Hey, it’s the country chick.” Howie said as he pointed at Kelsey and stuck his hand out to shake hers, “I’m Howie.”

“I’m Kelsey.” Kelsey said as she shook his hand and then shook Kevin’s.

“I’m Kevin. So what are you doing back here? Brian said that he met you the other day.” Kevin said as Rachel kept looking over at Howie and then back at Kelsey.

“Yeah I had to go back to Nashville to do a tv show and then I had to come back here to do some things.” Kelsey said, “You’re tour is over, what are you guys still doing here?”

“We’re getting ready to go into the studio.” Howie said, “How long are you here for?” as the elevator door closed and they started to go down.

“Hmm..” Kelsey said as she looked over at Rachel.

“Until we head to the Billboard Awards next week.” Rachel said as Howie looked over at her.

“Oh we are too and then we come back before the Christmas break.” Kevin said, “I know a guy who’s going to be very disappointed that he didn’t come with us.” as Howie laughed.

“Who?” Kelsey asked.

“Nick. He’s a fan.” Howie said laughing as Kelsey looked over at him.

“Nick, your Nick?” Kesley asked as she smiled, “Really?”

“Yes.” Kevin said as the elevator opened, “Well it was really nice meeting you.”

“Yeah, we’ll have to tell Nicky about this.” Howie said laughing.

“Okay, tell him I said hi.” Kelsey said as Howie and Kevin walked out of the elevator while Kelsey, Rachel, and David stood there. The door was about to shut and David grabbed it.

“Ladies?” David asked as Rachel shoved Kelsey a little.

“Damn Rach!” Kelsey said as she rubbed her arm while she walked out of the elevator.

“Oh Kevin, Howie, this is my manager Rachel and my bodyguard David.” Rachel said in a growling voice.

“Trust me, she didn’t have to introduce me.” David said laughing.

“Sorry, I get starstruck.” Kelsey said, “Damn can you believe Nick likes my music? I thought he said in some interview he hated country music.”

“Well.” David said as Kelsey looked over at him, “I bet he don’t just like the music, he kinda likes the whole package if you know what I mean.”

“Excuse you?” Kelsey asked as Rachel started to laugh, “Oh please David, whatever. Doesn’t Nick like go out with that model chick?”

“Sabrina.” Rachel said as Kelsey looked over at her.

“Yeah her. Blah at you David.” Kelsey said as they walked out of the hotel and Kelsey looked back to see Howie and Kevin talking to some fans in the lobby, “Damn.”

“Didn’t introduce me.” Rachel said under her breath as Kelsey looked at her as they got into the van.

“Sorry.”

“Guys!” Nick said as he hopped out of the elevator, seeing Kevin and Howie over talking to two fans, “Hey sorry. I’m gonna come with you guys.”

“You sure?” Kevin asked laughing as the two fans walked away.

“Yeah, I’m sure.” Nick said, “Damn I thought I missed you two.”

“You missed someone.” Howie said laughing.

“Huh?”

“You’re country chick was in the elevator with us coming down. She’s really sweet.” Howie said as him and Kevin walked off laughing and Nick stood there looking around.

“Dude, hold up.” Nick said as he walked up to them, “You mean I missed her?”

“Yes.” Kevin said laughing, “Told you to come with us.”

“Damn I was talking to-”

“You’re personal ad chick?” Howie asked laughing.

“Uh yeah.” Nick said, “Damn.”

“Gotta pick one or the other.” Kevin said laughing as Nick rolled his eyes, “So that makes three of us that have meet her.”

“All but AJ. Fuck his boney ass will be next.” Nick said under his breath.

“So how is Princess Grace?” Howie asked as Nick looked over at him as they got into the van.

“Alright, she had to go somewhere though. That’s why I decided to come on with you guys. She was going into this whole thing about how we didn’t need to know each other’s name right now.”

“Well that’s a good thing right?” Kevin asked, “I mean if she ask your name what are you going to do? Lie?”

“I can see Nicholas ya know, spelt wrong or something. That would be lying exactly.” Nick said, “Because hell I’ve been known to misspell my damn name.” as Howie and Kevin laughed, “But I’ll just do that.”

“Well do it then.” Kevin said, “Just don’t go meet her or anything you know, without a guard.”

“I’m not that stupid.” Nick said laughing as Howie shook his head at him, “Can’t believe I missed her.”

“Listen no no no no no.” Kelsey said as she sat in a room with Rachel alone, “I’m not doing that in the video.”

“It’s just kissing.” Rachel said as Kelsey crossed her arms and turned her head, “Kelsey.”

“I’m not kissing nobody.” Kelsey said, “Not for me to have to see it for the rest of my life and I am not going to kiss a stranger.”

“Not like you’ve never kissed anybody before.” Rachel said as Kelsey rolled her eyes and stood up, walking around the room.

“I know that, and I have, plenty of times, but I’m just not kissing some dude that is payed. No, man I don’t need a damn prostitute.”

“Kelsey! He’s not a prostitute, he’s an actor!” Rachel said as she opened up the file and looked inside, “And not a bad looking one at that…”

“I’m not. Nope. The damn song won’t have a video.” Kelsey said as she leaned against the wall, “I’m not kissing anybody that I don’t know.”

“Fine, how bout we get Brian to be in it.”

“Brian who?”

“Littrell.” Rachel said as Kelsey busted out laughing and pointed at her.

“That’s a good one.” Kelsey said as she looked away, “Let’s pick another single. How about Jezebel or something. Damn why are all my damn songs almost about sex. People will be thinking I’m some crazed sex manaic.”

“My World wasn’t about sex.”

“Okay it wasn’t. But damn dude, I don’t want to kiss some stranger and I don’t know where his mouth has been. Damn I mean, think about if I kiss him in the video, I don’t know where his lips was the night before. I don’t want any diseases.” Kelsey said as she sat back down.

“You’re impossible.” Rachel said as she put the file down on the table and looked over at Kelsey.

“The guy can be in my video, BUT.. do you hear me? But I’m not kissing him. Nope.” said Kelsey as she crossed her arms again, looking at Rachel.

“Nick’s a fan, maybe he’ll be in it.”

“Up yours.”

“With pleasure baby.” Rachel said smiling as Kelsey rolled her eyes, looking away.

“I wanna talk about me, I wanna talk about I..” Nick sung as he was looking at some sneakers while Howie and Kevin looked over at him.

“Nick-”

“What D?”

“What are you singing?”

“I don’t know. Some song in my head.” Nick said as Howie looked over at Kevin who did a funny looking smirk.

“Country song.” Kevin whispered as Howie started laughing while shaking his head no, “D..”

“Yeah?”

“If Nick comes out tomorrow buying a Garth Brooks’ CD, we need to call Jane and Bob, because their son has completely lost it.”

“I agree.” Howie said laughing.

“I’m not kissing this guy.” Kelsey said as they were in the elevator on the way back to their hotel suite.

“Kelsey, he’s re-working the video okay?” Rachel said, “Just calm down.”

“I’m not kissing anybody.”

“Bet you would kiss one one of your boys.” David said as Kelsey cut her eyes over at him.

“I would not. I’ve made mistakes before and the next person I kiss is going to be the person I’m in love with. There I said it.” Kelsey said as both Rachel and David stopped walking and looked at her. Kelsey stood there looking back and forth between them, “What?”

“Just never expected you to say something like that.” Rachel said as she looked back over at her, “You okay?”

“Fine. I’m just not going to kiss a total stranger.” said Kelsey, “I usually don’t put my foot down but this I am.”

“Sure.” David said laughing as they stepped off of the elevator and Kelsey marched off of it while David while up to the door unlocking it.

“Oh someone is pissed off.” Rachel said laughing as he opened the door and Kelsey walked into her room, slamming the door, “Spoiled star.”

“Better not let her hear that.” David said laughing as he sat down on the sofa.

“Damn.” Kelsey thought as she sat down on her bed, opening up her laptop and began to log online. She sat there a minute, waiting for the connection wondering if he had e-mailed her back after she left him all of a sudden. He seemed a little mad or upset because she didn’t want to exchange names.

The connection went through and she went to her e-mail, logging in to see that she had 1 new message. She smiled a little, clicking on the message as it loaded onto her screen and began to read it.

“Awww, he apologized.” Kelsey said to herself softly as she hit reply on the e-mail so she could e-mail him back. She sat there typing while smiling at the screen until she stopped, re-reading everything she had written and finally hit send.

“Damn.” she thought as she looked around, “I hope I’m not making a mistake.” as she pressed her lips together before going to her message board to read the latest news and gossip.

Kelsey sat there, scanning the board, seeing nothing interesting and finally sat her laptop down on the bed, reaching over for the remote and turned the television on. She started flipping channels until she caught “Drowning” on MTV and paused.

“I think they were lying.” Kelsey thought to herself as she started to smile a little as Nick sung his two lines in the song by himself, “He doesn’t even listen to country and don’t even know who I am.”

“I can’t believe you bought a country CD.” Howie said as him, Kevin, and Nick were on their way back to the hotel later that afternoon.

“Dude check out that picture there.” Nick said as he leaned over the seat, inbetween Kevin and Howie showing them a picture of Kelsey in her CD booklet of her sitting on a tire swing with a pair of overalls on and a white tank top underneath.

“You’re hopeless man.” Kevin said laughing, “Now D, Nick’s gonna go search the whole hotel over and try to find her. Atleast we know she’s on our floor.”

“Do what? She’s on our floor?” Nick asked, “Dude you think she’s back in the same room?”

“Oh good god here we go. Go find out Nicky.” said Howie as he looked down at his shopping bags laughing.

“I am not. I hate it when people do that to me. I’m not gonna do that to her.” Nick said as he sat back in his seat.

“Although I’m sure she won’t mind.” Kevin said laughing as he started to imitate Kelsey, “Nick? Your Nick? Oh tell him I said hi.” Howie sat there laughing as Nick sat back up and looked at Kevin.

“She said to tell me hi? Dude!” Nick said as he shoved Kevin lightly, “Why didn’t you tell me man?”

“Sorry, guess I forgot.” Kevin said laughing as they pulled up to the hotel, “Want me to go ask the front desk which room she’s in?”

“Dude!” Nick exclaimed as they got out of the van and Kevin turned around and looked at him.

“What?”

“Dude! They won’t give you that info.” Nick said as Howie laughed at him, walking by him into the hotel.

“Dude.. they did before.” Kevin said as Nick looked around, “I’m a Backstreet Boy wanting another artist room because I want to collaborate with her. They’ll give it to me.” as he turned around, walking into the hotel.

“Collaborate something.” Nick muttered as Kevin looked back at him laughing.
