“Damn dude, hang on.” Nick said as he opened up his door to see Brian standing outside, “That show will be on soon.”

“I know, I came over to watch with ya.” Brian said as he ran over, hopping on Nick’s bed and Nick shut the door, turning around to look at him.

“Knock my computer off and I kick your ass.” Nick said, “I was about to check my mail.”

“Oh! Princess Grace e-mail you back?” Brian asked.

“That’s what I’m about to see. I was playing a video game and lost track of time.” Nick said as he sat down at the head of the bed and started to log online, “Turn the channel.”

“This is something I thought I’d never do with you Carter. Watch CMT.”

“Dude shut up.” Nick said, “Damn I didn’t wanna talk about it with D there this morning.” Nick said as Brian laughed and turned the channel.

“Damn. One new mail.” Nick said laughing while Brian looked over at him.

“Read it outloud. I wanna hear.” Brian said as Nick cut his eyes over at him.

“Alright. Dude.” Nick said laughing as he clicked on the e-mail to read it.

“She sounds cute.” Brian said smiling over at Nick as the show came on.

“Yeah she does, let me reply to her.” Nick said smiling.

“What kind of salesman are you?”

“Shut up Rok.”

“No see my boyfriend is cuter than yours.”

“No Sam, mine is much cuter. I mean come on, did you see mine?”

“You have no boyfriend Joey.”

“Shut up.”

Kelsey sat back in the dressing room watching her two backup singers fuss with each other on who’s boyfriend was cuter when reality, neither really had one.

“Neither one of you have a boyfriend.” Kelsey said as both Joey and Samantha looked over at her.

“Like you do?” Joey asked as Kelsey smiled.

“Maybe.” Kelsey said smiling as she twirled around in her chair while Joey and Samantha looked at each other.

“Maybe?” Joey asked, “Explain yourself Kel.”

“Dunno, I’ve been talking to this guy.” Kelsey said as she smiled a little.

“What guy?” Samantha asked as she looked over at Joey who looked back at her.

“Doesn’t matter.” Kelsey said, “Just a normal guy. He’s from LA. He’s 21.”

“Um cool.” Joey said as Rachel walked into the room.

“Well Princess Grace, you’ll be glad to know we go back to LA first thing tomorrow morning.” Rachel said as Kelsey looked at her.

“Really?” Kelsey asked in shock, “For what? I thought we weren’t going back for two days?”

“Well you’ve gotta go over a few things for the recording and for the video shoot. So I already booked us a flight. It leaves tomorrow after lunch.” Rachel said.

“We don’t need to go do we?” Samantha asked.

“No, you girls and the band have a week off. David has to come.” Rachel said as she looked over at David who just growled.

“Great, I was getting use to Pacific Time anyway.” Kelsey said as she sat there, “Damn why can’t we do this stuff here.”

“Because it has to be done there.”

“That sucks.” Kelsey said as she looked around and smiled a little while Rachel went to discuss something with Samantha, Joey, and the band.

“Damn.” Nick and Brian muttered at the same time as they sat on the floor infront of the TV and looked at each other.

“What the hell you damning about?” Nick asked as Brian smiled over at him.

“I know yo.” Nick said as they looked back at Kelsey singing, “And she was right next door too.”

“Oh come on, you gonna dump Princess Grace?” Brian asked laughing, “Burger King, you are a bad man.”

“Whaaat?” Nick asked, “Atleast I’m not the married man.”

“Hey, I am still a man and I can find people cute.” Brian pointed out as Kelsey stopped singing, “That back up singer of her’s is cute too.”

“Which one?”

“The blonde.”

“Eeeh kinda.” Nick said, “I hope they go ahead and talk to her. I’m tired of watching these country videos.”

“Oh stop complaining Nick.”

“Shut up dude.”

“Stop telling me to shut up.” Brian said as he pushed Nick a little who laughed.

“That was great.” Greg, one of the co-host of the show sat as he walked over to Kelsey who was sitting on a stool, “Are you getting tired of singing it yet?”

“No, not really. I love the song. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t have recorded it.” Kelsey said laughing a little.

“So what’s your next single going to be? I heard a rumor, but I want to know if it’s true.”

“A song on my album…”

“Which would be?”

“What If I Do” Kelsey said as she laughed a little, “It’s number 5 on the album I think. It’s kinda upbeat. A little different than my first two singles.”

“Which is a song about..”

“Deciding whether or not to sleep with someone basically.” Kelsey said as everybody started to laugh.

“You must have a romantic life to sing all of these romantic songs like this.” Greg said laughing.

“Nope, I don’t at all. My life is pretty boring.” Kelsey said laughing.

“Oh she’s single.” Brian said as he looked over at Nick who just shook his head at him.

“You’re hopeless Rok.” Nick said laughing as he turned the TV up.

“Oh come on. You’re life can’t be that boring.” Greg said.

“Yeah it is. I just travel from place to place, doing shows or interviews or recording.” Kelsey said, “I don’t have much time for a life. Although I did get to go to a concert the other night.”

“Oh who did you see?”

“My manager, guard, and I went and saw the Backstreet Boys in Los Angeles while I was there doing some promotion. It was really good. I haven’t been to a concert as a fan in a while.” Kelsey said.

“That’s cool. So will there be a video for What If I Do anytime soon because Let Me Love You will be ending soon.” Greg said as Kelsey looked around and looked back at him.

“Actually yeah, because tomorrow we’re heading back to Los Angeles because I’m going to be recording two songs for two different soundtracks and making my new video or atleast start on it.”

“She’s coming back here.” Brian said as Nick spit out his Mountain Dew and Brian laughed, “Damn dude you okay?” he asked as he patted Nick on the back.

“Yeah, just suprised when she said she was coming back here.” Nick said laughing, “Hmm wonder if she’ll stay in the same hotel here?”

“You dirty dog.”

“Whaaat? I’m just making an observation ya know.”

“Observation my ass.”

“So we’re going to read a few questions here from people in the audience and e-mails from country.com.” Greg said as he looked down at the index cards, “You okay with that?”

“Sure that’s cool.” Kelsey said as she smiled.

“Alright, Jessica who is here in our audience wants to what’s your favorite movie?” Greg asked as Kelsey looked around.

“Hmm, I’m not big on movies. I think my favorites are The Wedding Planner, Ferris Buller’s Day Off or Grease. Yeah, that’s it.”

“Good choices. Let’s see, this one is by e-mail from Randy who is from Virgina. He wants to know do you ever plan on becoming an actress since you do so well in your videos?”

“An actress?” Kelsey asked as she looked confused for a second, “I never really thought about it. I’m kind of shy infront of the camera, when it comes to things like that. I don’t know, maybe one day if I ever got the right role but right now I’m not interested in it.”

“Good because if you picked your movies like you pick your songs..” Greg started to say as Kelsey looked away and looked back at him, “Alright next question. This one is by e-mail from Nick who is from Florida and he wants to know what’s your idea of a perfect date.”

“Nick-”

“Shut up Rok.” Nick said as he pressed his lips together like he wanted to laugh.

“A perfect date?” Kelsey asked, “I’ve never had a perfect date.”

“Well what would be your perfect date?” Greg asked as Kelsey sat there looking around a minute, pressing her lips together, looking as if she was thinking.

“The perfect date? I don’t know, being somewhere and it could be anywhere with the person that I loved. Just us alone and talking and nothing else. Just being with that person. That’s the perfect date.”

“Aww sounds good. Alright everybody, stick around because Kelsey is going to sing another song but first we’ve got our number 4 video.” Greg said as they went into the Tim McGraw video.

“You sent in that question?” Brian asked as he laughed and Nick looked over at him.

“Yeah okay so I did.” Nick said, “Shoot me. Better than going ‘Hey do you like Nick Carter better than Brian Littrell since you say he’s your celebrity crush?’ Oh come on. People do it to us so why the hell not do it to someone else. Atleast my question was picked yo.”

“True, and now you know what her ideal perfect date is.” Brian said laughing.

“Yes with someone she loves and yet, she doesn’t even know me.” Nick said laughing as he stopped and looked around.

“AH! You admited it! You really do like her!” Brian said laughing as he stood up, “You want to ask her out don’t you?”

“Oh come on.” Nick said as he rolled his eyes, “She’s this country girl man. She’s got this little country southern voice that’s more southern than what yours was when we first met.”

“Hi, how ya’ll doin’? Ya’ll doin’ alright?” Brian asked in a really southern accent while Nick laughed.

“Damn southern accents are sexy.” Nick said as he shook his head.

“Thank you Carter.” Brian said as he batted his eyelashes at Nick while he sat back down on the floor.

“Dude whatever.” Nick mumbled while laughing, “They are, but she’s a little bit too country for me I think. I’ll just stick to my personal ad chick. She’s from LA, we’re out here quite often ya know. Get to know her better-”

“And you’re going to meet her sooner or later.” Brian said as Nick shook his head.

“Maybe, maybe not.” Nick said as he smiled at Brian who shook his head at him.

“We should go out and celebrate!” Rachel said that night as her, Kelsey, and David were on their way back to Kelsey’s apartment.

“Celebrate what?” Kelsey asked laughing.

“That you kicked ass on the show?” Rachel asked, “You did so good.”

“Well thank you.” Kelsey said, “Did I do good David?”

“Yeah, maybe your personal ad boy saw it and knows what your perfect date is now.” David said as Rachel started laughing.

“Ha ha.” Kelsey said sarcastically, “Ya’ll think you’re so funny. I’m not going to celebrate. We’ve got to pack for LA remember.”

“True.” Rachel said, “I’ve got to go home and pack.”

“Uh, LA.” David said as Kelsey and Rachel laughed.

“So..” Brian said as he looked over at Nick who looked back over at him.

“Yes?” Nick asked.

“We know this Kelsey chick is single. We know she’s coming back to LA. We know she likes me.”

“Rub it in Rok.”

“You’re the only one rubbin’ somethin’.”

“Dude.” Nick said as he pushed him, “So what? LA is a big place.”

“It’s obviously a fact that she stays in this hotel.”

“Obviously.”

“And we will be staying here a while. Atleast until we go to the Billboard Awards.” Brian said, “So..”

“So..” Nick said, copying him, “What’s your point?”

“Ask her out.”

“Am not.”

“Come on Nick, you need a date.”

“And you need a woman. Where the hell is Leighanne?” Nick asked as Brian shook his head laughing at him.

“Fine, fine.” Nick said laughing, “Maybe. If I run into her and talk to her, I’ll ask her out. Happy?”

“Yes.” Brian said as he smiled and looked back at the TV.

“Good. I’m glad you’re happy.”

“You’ll chicken out.”
