“Why are we standing out here?” Howie asked as he looked over at Kevin who shrugged his shoulders. Kevin looked over at Brian who stood there with his arms crossed and a smile on his face, “Brian?”

“Howie doin’?” Brian asked as Howie rolled his eyes.

“Oh hell ya’ll are in for a treat.” AJ said as he walked out of his room and the others looked at him.

“Someone wanna tell me what the hell is going on?” Howie asked as AJ snickered and Brian looked over at him. AJ winked and Brian smiled while Howie and Kevin just looked at them.

“What?” Kevin asked when Kelsey opened the door and looked at them, “Oh.”

“Well hey there!” Kelsey said as she opened the door more and moved out of the way, “Please come in.”

“Sup country chick?” AJ asked as Kelsey almost tripped him, “Damn.”

“Hey Kelsey.” Brian said as Kelsey said hi to him. Howie and Kevin just stood there looking at each other and back at Kelsey.

“Well you’re gonna come in right?” Kelsey asked as Kevin and Howie walked into the suite to see Brian and AJ standing there infront of the TV wanting to laugh.

“Um, Kelsey what are you doing here?” Kevin asked, “In Nick’s suite?”

“Sleeping?” Kelsey asked, “Isn’t that what people do in hotel rooms?”

“Among other things.” AJ said under his breath as Howie looked over at him.

“You’re sleep - wait.” Kevin said as Brian started to laugh a little, “Where’s Carter?”

In here the woman wore me out!

“Nick!” Kevin yelled as Nick peeked his head out of the other room, “What’s going on here?”

“Ask my date. I’m on the phone.” Nick said as he went back in the room.

“I’m confused.” Howie said as he rubbed the side of his face.

“Date?” Kevin asked.

“Date.” Kelsey said.

“Date?” Howie asked.

“Date.” Brian and AJ said at the same time.

“Oh hell.” Nick said as he walked out of the room, closing his cell phone, “I’m her boyfriend. She’s my girlfriend and she’s my date tomorrow night for the awards. Suprise! Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! Valentine’s Day!”

“Birthday!” AJ yelled as Brian shook his head laughing.

“You’re dating now?” Kevin asked as Howie looked over at AJ who winked at him.

“Yeah. We are.” Nick said.

“Since when?” Howie asked.

“New Years’ Eve.” Nick said.

“Well actually it was after midnight so New Year’s Day.” Kelsey said as Nick shook his head agreeing with her.

“Well holy hell.” AJ said as he put his hands on his hips, “I won the bet!”

“Damn.” Howie muttered as Brian just continued to laugh.

“So you’re a couple?” Kevin asked as Nick and Kelsey looked at each other.

“Yeah.” Nick said as he looked back at Kevin, “So suprise!”

“Well atleast he’s not depressed, staying in his room night after night.” Howie said.

“Yeah now he’ll have another reason to stay in his room night after night.” AJ said as Howie started to laugh.

“Well no.” Kelsey said, “Because I’m starting a tour in like a week and a half with that’s gonna last through Feburary. So we won’t see much of each other.”

“Yeah.” Nick said as Kevin started to laugh, “What?”

“You’ll go see her.” Kevin said.

“Yeah I do know that.” Nick said, “But like not all the time, I can’t. She can’t.”

“Nick’s going to be blessing Alexander Graham Bell.” Howie said as AJ laughed.

“Alexander. That’s a damn fine name.” AJ said as Howie laughed.

“More like Bill Gates.” Brian said as Kelsey crossed her arms, rolling her eyes.

“Hey, if you’re gonna make fun of us, then well, get out.” Nick said as he pointed at the door.

“Hey, I’ve been up for you being with her since she was just Leigh. Hell when she was still Kelsey.” Brian said as the others looked over at him, “Damn when you were talking to Leigh and hiding from Kelsey.”

“I’m all up for my boy getting some ass!” AJ said as Howie elbowed him, “Damn D.”

“Well I think it’s great.” Howie said as Kelsey smiled and everybody looked over at Kevin.

“What?” Kevin asked, “Shit I’ve known it was coming since I figured out who that Leigh girl was. I’m not suprised really. Just didn’t think it would be this soon.”

“Well it’s not like we’re getting married.” Kelsey said, “That’s next month.”

“Very funny. I see you’ve got smart ass comments down like Nick.” Kevin said laughing.

“I’ve had those all along.” Kelsey said as Nick laughed.

“I can testify to that.” Nick said, “So there you now know. It’s all out in the open.”

“Well great. I should go get my money from David.” AJ said as he clapped his hands and walked over to the door and walked out.

“Damn people making bets.” Nick said as Howie laughed.

“Well this was nice. I’m going to go beat AJ up now. See you two later.” Howie said as he smiled and walked out of the room.

“Well.” Brian said as he clapped his hands together, “Nice to know it’s out in the open now. Kelsey all of your people know?”

“Hmmm, mainly, except for like my back up singers and stuff but ya know they will.” Kelsey said when he cell phone rung, “Hold on.”

“Well damn.” Kevin said laughing as he shook his head looking over at Brian who did a cheesy grin.

“Hello?” Kelsey asked as she answered her cell phone in the bedroom, looking around to see Nick’s clothes everywhere.

“Kelsey, it’s me.” Rachel said, “I know you’re gonna bitch cuz I’m callin’ ya -”

“Oh no it’s fine. We just told the others.” Kelsey said laughing, “Kevin and Howie were so confused.”

“Oh damn.” Rachel said laughing, “I just got a call. Martina McBride can’t sing tomorrow night. Her doctor put her on voice rest, so we got a call.”

“Really?” Kelsey asked, “Damn. I’m not even nominated or nothing.”

“Yeah I know.” Rachel said, “But do you want to do it? I can get everybody out here.”

“Umm sure yeah. What are we going to do?”

“New single?”

“Sure. It doesn’t matter. I’ll do it.” Kelsey said.

“Okay, lemme get on that. You’re not mad at me are you?” Rachel asked.

“Nah, get them out here. I’ll do it.”

“Okay. I will. I’ll call ya back later.” Rachel said as Kelsey hung up and looked around.

“Shit.” Kelsey mumbled as she walked out of the room to see Nick and Kevin standing there talking, “Well, I’ve got to sing tomorrow night.”

“Do what? Damn.” Nick said, “I didn’t think you had to do nothing but present?”

“Well I did but Martina McBride, well her doctor put her on voice rest and so they called the label and asked me to take her spot. So I am.” Kelsey said.

“Oh well damn.” Kevin said, “Your band is coming?”

“Yep.” Kelsey said, “Rachel was getting all of that together.

“Oh you bitch! Tell Holden you love him!” Joelynn yelled at the TV in her apartment as she sat there watching As The World Turns when her phone rung, “Dammit.” she yelled as she picked it up, answering it while she turned the TV off, “Hello?”

“Joey, Joey, Joey.”

“Rachel, Rachel, Rachel.” Joey said laughing, “What now?”

“Busy?”

“Does it matter?”

“Not really. You need to come to LA. Kelsey’s gotta perform tomorrow night.” Rachel said.

“Oh damn really? Okay yeah, I’m coming.” Joey said as she got up and started writing down the information Rachel was giving her.

Samantha sighed as she sat there in her bedroom of her parents house, watching her Backstreet Boys video when her cell phone rung. She reached over, picking it up while never taking her eyes off of the TV.

“Hello?”

“Samantha?”

“Hey Rachel.” Samantha said, “What’s up?”

“We need you to come to LA this afternoon. Kelsey’s gotta take Martina’s slot in performing.” Rachel said, “Can you come?”

“LA?”

“Yeah. You know, you’ve been here before.” Rachel said laughing, “Plus god, it’ll be good to have some company.”

“Uh oh why?” Samantha asked.

“Kelsey’s staying in Nick’s suite with him.”

“They’re there?”

“Yep.” Rachel said as Samantha looked back at the TV and tilted her head, “You coming?”

“Yep, gimme the information and I’ll start packing.” Samantha said as she smiled.

“What are you going to sing?” Nick asked, “The song I was in the video for?”

“I guess. We don’t have time to really get anything big ya know? Damn I wish we could, this is big.” Kelsey said as Nick laughed.

“You could always do what you did back in December.”

“Not again.”

“Damn.”

“You just want me singing to you.”

“Bet your ass I do.” Nick said as he laughed, “That was damn nice.”

“Oh I bet.” Kelsey said laughing as she looked over at him, “What are we gonna say tomorrow night?”

“That we’re dating.” Nick said, “Or we can just make them wonder for the pure simple hell of it.”

“Sounds like fun.”

“Wanna do that?”

“Sure, why not?” Kelsey asked as Nick started to laugh a little.

“It’s good being back with you. I missed ya.”

“I missed you too.”

“I missed you alot.” Nick said as he started to laugh a little and put his hand over his eyes, “Oh I feel like such a moron saying this shit.”

“Oh no, don’t.” Kelsey said as she tried to move his hand, “I missed you alot too.”

“Really?”

“Yes.” Kelsey said as they both leaned in to kiss each other slowly. They both backed away a little, smiling.

“Damn, I had a date tonight too.” Joey said a few hours later, as her and Samantha and the rest of the band sat on a plane on their way to LA.

“Oh really? Hmm.” Samantha said as Joey looked over at her.

“What?”

“I know something you don’t know.”

“What?”

“Kelsey’s staying in Nick Carter’s suite.”

“DO WHAT?!?!” Joey yelled as everybody on the planned turned to look at her and she began to whisper, “Do what?”

“What Rachel said, so ya know, I guess they’re seeing each other for real now.” Samantha said, “I mean, we know how Kel is and all.”

“Dude.”

“Dude.”

“Holy shit, this is whack.”

“I know that.” Samantha said, “For one, Kelsey’s got a man and two, it’s Nick Carter and I suppose they are going to the awards together tomorrow night.”

“Oh good god. Hello Anti-sites.” Joey said, “Does this mean we get to see the other guys more often now?”

“Uh huh.” Samantha said as she shook her head smiling.

“Oh damn sweet.” Joey said as Samantha started giggling.
