It was now January 8, the day before the American Music Awards where Kelsey would be meeting back up with Nick in Los Angeles so that they could attend the awards together.

After going out to eat at McDonald’s on New Years’ Day, Kelsey showed Nick around Nashville a little and just hung out talking. They just enjoyed the time they had together, rented some movies and basically fell asleep. The next morning he had to get up and leave and even though he didn’t want to, he knew he had to and that they would see each other in a few days.

Rachel didn’t come back that night either. She stayed out all night long, giving Kelsey and Nick their privacy. She didn’t come back until later that next day and when she did, her and Kelsey got into a fight on weather or not she was moving too fast with Nick. Kelsey just basically told her to mind her own damn business when it involved her personal life and take care of business.

Over the next few days, Nick went home to take care of some things and relax before heading back to LA to attend the awards and record with the guys. Meanwhile, Kelsey was still in Nashville trying to get things ready so that she could start the tour with Tim McGraw in almost 2 1/2 weeks. No rumors came out about the kiss that they shared on stage infront of everybody on New Years’ Eve, except a few people online talking about it.

Of course that all changed the 7th when Kelsey went on Most Wanted Live on CMT and debuted her video for “I’m Not Suppose To Love You Anymore” which Kevin and Nick were in. When the host of the show asked her about it, and even asked about the kiss at Tim’s concert, she just laughed and said “You’ll have to wait and see.”

Now, Kelsey was headed back to LA for the awards and to see Nick. Nobody else knew about them except for Brian, Rachel, and David, but now everybody was going to find out.

“Can’t believe you’re going to share a room with him.” Rachel said as Kelsey cut her eyes over at her, sitting on the plane.

“He’s my boyfriend.” Kelsey said, “Why not?”

“You just started dating.” Rachel said as she looked over at her.

“Just because I’m sharing a room with him doesn’t mean I’m going to fuck him every chance we’re alone.” Kelsey said as everybody on the plane turned around and looked at her, “Shit.”

“Keep talking.” Rachel said as she rolled her eyes. Kelsey sat there looking over at David who shrugged his shoulders.

“Do you think I’m moving too fast with him?” Kelsey whispered over at David who nodded his head no.

“Nope. I say go for it. Rachel’s just jealous cuz you’ve got a man now and she don’t.” David said as Rachel looked over at them, “Nick likes you. You like Nick. You deserve some ass. Go for it.”

“You’re crazy.” Kelsey said as she looked over at Rachel who looked away.

“I’m not jealous.” Rachel said.

“Okay.” Kelsey said, “But I’m warning you Rachel. Don’t get out here and embarrass me by acting as if I’m 12 years old because I’m not. I’ve got a mother and hey, she knows about Nick and she’s okay with it.”

“Fine.” Rachel said as Kelsey rolled her eyes, looking at her watch.

“Dude, yo. What are you pacing around the room for?” AJ asked as he sat in Nick’s suite, looking at him, “You alright?”

“Oh I’m dandy.”

“Hmm okay.” AJ said as he looked around, “Heard from Kelsey?”

“This morning.”

“Cool.” AJ said as he pressed his lips together and looked around again, “Oh fuck it. I wanna know what’s going on there. Tell me.”

“No.”

“Oh come on MAN!” AJ pleaded as Nick looked at him, shook his head and then looked out the peep hole into the hallway, “Nick. How was New Years’ Eve man?”

“You should watch TV.” Nick said as he looked back at AJ and laughed a little.

“Why? What did I miss?” AJ asked as Nick turned around, leaning against the wall, “Oh dude you love me. Tell me man.”

“Well at midnight, Tim McGraw who headlined the concert called all the artist out on the stage and they brought their husbands wives or girlfriends whatever so I went out with Kelsey.”

“Uh huh. Keep talking. I’m taking mental notes here.”

“Well, we kissed.” Nick said, “In front of everybody and we kept kissing.”

“Uh huh.”

“And kept kissing until we stopped and realized everybody was looking at us.” Nick said as AJ started laughing, “They talked about it yesterday when she was on the country TRL show dude cause she premiered the new video that me and Kev are in.”

“Oh damn for real?”

“Yeah.”

“So what’s up with ya’ll?” AJ asked as Nick looked around smiling, “Come on tell me.”

“She’s my girlfriend and we’re going to the awards tomorrow night together.” Nick said as AJ fell back on the sofa he was sitting on, “What?”

“Seriously?”

“Yeah.”

“Well I’ll be god damned.” AJ said as he shook his head.

“What?” Nick asked, looking confused, “So what?”

“Didn’t actually think it would happen this fast.”

“So?”

“Sleep with her yet?”

“I have the right to remain silent.” Nick said smiling.

“That means yes.”

“Does that.”

“I know you man.” AJ said as Nick shook his head smiling.

“A whole other floor from yours.” Kelsey said as she looked at her hotel room key, “Whatever will I do?”

“Better be on time. That’s what you will do.” Rachel said as Kelsey cut her eyes over at her as they stood in the elevator.

“Yes yes.” Kelsey said, “I mean I don’t even know why you have to go to the awards.”

“Ditch me why don’t you?”

“Jealous.” David said under his breath as Kelsey laughed a little at him.

“Oh shut up. I am not.” Rachel said, “I have a seat and I’m damn going.”

“Well go then.” Kelsey said as the elevator door opened, “And this is my floor. Bye darlings.”

“Bye bye.” David said as he smiled and Kelsey got out of the elevator with the guy carrying her luggage behind her. She walked down the hallway until she finally saw the door. She put her key in the door and unlocked it, taking her bags from the bellboy and telling him it was okay. She opened the door to see Nick and AJ sitting there on the sofa, talking and watching TV until finally AJ looked over and saw her. He tapped Nick on the arm and he looked over to see her.

“Oh, hey!” Nick said as he got up and walked over to her, hugging her and then giving her a little kiss.

“Hey. Rachel’s still being a bitch.” Kelsey said as Nick helped her with her bags and she looked over at AJ, “Hey AJ.”

“Hello Mrs. Carter.” AJ said as Kelsey stopped and looked at him, “What?”

“Don’t call me that.” Kelsey said as Nick looked over his shoulder at AJ.

“Why yes ma’am.” AJ said as he shook his head.

“Miss me?” Nick asked as he smiled at her.

“Just talked to you this morning.” Kelsey said as she heard AJ laugh, “But yes I did.”

“He knows.” Nick whispered as Kelsey looked over Nick’s shoulder at AJ.

“Oh okay.” Kelsey said as she leaned up, kissing Nick slowly and opened one of her eyes and saw AJ looking over at them in shock.

“Damn.” AJ mumbled as Kelsey and Nick stopped kissing and looked over at him, “Me? I didn’t say a damn thing. It’s time to go.”

“Oh leaving so soon?” Nick asked as he laughed.

“Uh yeah. I need a shower.” AJ said as he rubbed his hands together and walked over to the door. Nick just cracked up laughing in response but Kelsey didn’t get it.

“What?” Kelsey asked as she reached back, shutting the door back after AJ walked out.

“Nothing.” Nick said as he clapped his hands together, “So I told AJ!”

“Sweet!” Kelsey said laughing as she looked around, “I’m nervous about tomorrow.”

“Yeah, I know.”

“We show up together and it’s gonna be whack.” Kelsey said.

“Me with a country singer.”

“Wanna get a cowboy hat?”

“No thanks.” Nick said as Kelsey smiled, “So got your dress yet?”

“I’m not wearing a dress.” Kelsey said as she smiled.

“What are you wearing?”

“A suit.”

“Sexy.” Nick said as Kelsey started laughing at him and took her things into the bedroom, “So a suit?”

“Uh huh.”

“Not easy access.”

“Nope.” Kelsey said as she looked over at Nick.

“Does this mean since you’re wearing the pants that I have to wear the dress?” Nick asked as Kelsey started to laugh.

“No. You wear a suit.”

“In your dreams.”

“Damn and they are such lovely ones too.” Kelsey said as Nick rolled his eyes.

Knock! Knock!

“Coming.” Howie said as he walked up to the door and opened it up to see AJ standing outside, “What AJ?”

“Big news man.” AJ said as he walked into the room, almost knocking Howie over.

“Well come on in AJ.” Howie said sarcastically as he shut the door. He turned around looking at AJ who had a serious look on his face, “What’s wrong?”

“Nick.” AJ said bluntly as Howie started to laugh, “Him and country girl are dating now.”

“Hm Kelsey?” Howie asked laughing.

“Yes. He told me man. They’re going to the awards TOGETHER tomorrow night. To - ge- ther.”

“Oh damn.”

“Yeah. They slept together too man.” AJ said.

“Anything else I should know?” Howie asked.

“They’re probably over there doing it now because yo the way she kissed him. I left man.” AJ said as he shook his head.

“Oh damn.” Howie said, “Really?”

“Serious yo. As a god damn heart attack.”

“Oh damn.”

“Exactly.”

“Really?”

“Fuck yes.” AJ said, “They probably over there doing it right now man.”

“Dude.” Kelsey said as they sat infront of the TV looking at pictures from New Years’ Eve, “I hate that picture.”

“Shut up man, it’s good.” Nick said as he took it from her, “Look cute in it.”

“I look like shit. I hate seeing pictures of me performing. Damn.” Kelsey said, “I hate it.”

“Nah it looks damn good.” Nick said as he looked over at her smiling. Kelsey looked at the pics and then looked over to see him smiling at her.

“What?”

“Nothing, just looking at you.”

“Here’s a picture.” Kelsey said as she put the picture up to his face and he started laughing.

“I like the real thing better.”

“How did you like the final video?” Kelsey asked, “You never really said.”

“I loved it. Of course my brother has already called calling me a damn cowboy.” Nick said as Kelsey cracked up laughing.

“You tell him?”

“Not yet.” Nick said, “I haven’t told anybody but Brian and AJ. You tell your mom?”

“Yeah.”

“When?”

“Last night.” Kelsey said, “Had to after that whole thing about the kiss on tv.”

“Damn.” Nick said laughing, “What she say?”

“She told me to have fun.” Kelsey said Nick started to laugh.

“Really?”

“Yep.” Kelsey said as Nick smiled and leaned in closer to her.

“Well, we should have fun.” Nick whispered as Kelsey smiled and started to laugh a little.
