“And this, this is my place.” Kelsey said as she opened her apartment door to see David and Rachel sitting on the sofa, “And ugh.”

“Oh hey people.” Nick said as Rachel and David looked at each other, “What’s up?”

“Nothing, bout to leave. Resting a minute. Rach’s got too much shit.” David said as Kelsey looked over at Rachel and David stood up, “I guess I’ll leave you two alone now.”

“Huh?” Kelsey said, “We’re not alone. Rachel’s here.”

“How long you staying Nick?” David asked as Nick looked around.

“Hmm January 2nd.” Nick said as Rachel looked over at Kelsey.

“Staying here?” David asked.

“Yes, and yes, AJ knows, so you don’t have to tell him.” Nick said as David looked in shock.

“Me, why would I do that?” David asked as he started to laugh, “I’ll see ya’ll tomorrow for rehearsal.”

“Okay. Bye.” Kelsey said as David walked out the front door and Rachel looked at them.

“So, this is nice.” Rachel said as Kelsey looked at her and then Nick looked over at Kelsey, “Yeah so I take the hint. I’ve got to go over to the storage place and see about some stuff.

“Oh, well you don’t have to leave because of me.” Nick said as Rachel laughed at him.

“Yeah so I’ll be back later.” Rachel said as she grabbed her purse and keys and started out the door.

“Are they leaving us on purpose?” Nick asked as Kelsey started to laugh.

“Basically.” Kelsey said laughing a little, “So this is my place.”

“It’s nice. Where’s your bedroom?” Nick asked as Kelsey looked around.

“Over there.” Kelsey said, pointing at a door. Nick put his bag down and walked over to her door, opening it up and peeked inside, “What are you doing?”

“Lookin’ for the supa fly Nick Carter poster.” Nick said as he walked in and looked around, “I don’t see it.”

“Took it down.” Kelsey whispered as Nick peeked out at her.

“What?”

“Huh?”

“Whatcha say?”

“Not a thing.” Kelsey said as Nick started to laugh, “I took my big huge gigantic Sweet Howie D poster down before you came.”

“Yeah I bet.” Nick said, “So Rachel’s staying here now?”

“Yeah for a little while. She’s getting a divorce. Is that okay that she stays here cuz I can kick her out.” Kelsey said as Nick started to laugh.

“And you said that with so much sass in your voice. Nah it’s cool.” Nick said, “I knew that anyway. She told me when I called her.”

“Called her?” Kelsey asked as Nick started to laugh.

“Yeah, got her number from someone.”

“Who?”

“Howie.” Nick said inbetween coughs as Kelsey looked in shock.

“Oh really?” Kelsey asked, “Well then.”

“Yeah so whatever.” Nick said laughing as Kelsey walked over and sat down on the sofa, “So we gonna exchange gifts?”

“Oh, I forgot.” Kelsey said as Nick rolled his eyes and Kelsey got up going over to her Christmas tree which still had two presents up under it. She picked them up and walked over to Nick handing them to him, “Here you go.”

“Two? I only got you one.” Nick said as Kelsey rolled her eyes, “Stop the eye rolling.”

“Well I saw them both and thought of you.” Kelsey said as Nick leaned down, taking the little gift bag out of his bag and handed it to Kelsey.

“There ya go, that’s from me.” Nick said as Kelsey looked at the bag which was a ‘N Sync gift bag, “Don’t pay attention to the wrapping.”

“Oh I think I should.” Kelsey said, “N Sync?”

“Dude okay so the store only had that and a gift bag saying ‘Happy 40th Birthday’. I thought you’d like that one better.” Nick said as Kelsey started to laugh, “They were completely out of Christmas bags and plus I bought the bag yesterday. Christmas was over.”

“No, it’s fine. I can hang it on my wall and throw darts at Timberlake.” Kelsey said as Nick started laughing, “So you unwrap yours first.”

“Uhh okay.” Nick said as he looked around, “Let’s sit down first.”

“Okay.” Kelsey said as they walked over and sat down on the sofa, “Open it up.”

“Okay.” Nick said as he opened up one of the big thin boxes, “Damn bows.”

“Shut up, I like the bows.” Kelsey said as Nick laughed and took the top off of the box to see a t-shirt inside.

“Oh damn.” Nick said as he picked up the green t-shirt, reading it, “Discourage Inbreeding: Ban Country Music” and it showed a cowboy on the front, playing a guitar.

“Like it? I thought of you.” Kelsey said as Nick cracked up laughing.

“Dude, this is perfect.” Nick said laughing, “Thanks. Okay now open yours.”

“No, you open your other one.” Kelsey said as Nick laughed, putting the shirt back in the box.

“Alright.” Nick said, “What other t-shirt did you get me?”

“Just wait.” Kelsey said as Nick started to unwrap the other box which was the same size as the one the t-shirt was in. She sat there giggling as Nick unwrapped it and took the top off.

“Oh god.” Nick said as he pulled out a autograph picture of Kelsey in a frame, “Well this is going right by my bed.”

“I bet, now move the paper in there and look.” Kelsey said as Nick looked at the picture, “Nick.”

“Sorry.” Nick said laughing as he handed her the picture and moved the gift paper back seeing a black t-shirt that said “I’d Rather Be Masterbating” in big white bold letters, “Oh holy shit.”

“Ya like it?!?” Kelsey asked giggling as Nick looked over at her.

“Oh god, I love it.” Nick said laughing as he took it out of the box and looked at it, “Fits me to a T.”

“I know.” Kelsey said as Nick looked at her, “Nevermind.”

“Right.” Nick said laughing, “You gonna open yours.”

“Scared to now.” Kelsey said as she handed him the picture back and looked at the bag, “I’m gonna throw darts at Justin and Chris.”

“Oh just open and see what’s in the bag.” Nick said as Kelsey laughed and opened the bag up, feeling inside until she felt a little case and pulled it out.

“Are you asking me to marry you?” Kelsey asked as Nick rolled his eyes.

“Open it up would ya?” Nick asked as Kelsey opened up the little case to see a little pair of sapphire earings, “I noticed you never took your ring off so I got you that. I didn’t know what else to get you.”

“Aww I love it and all I got you were some t-shirts.” Kelsey said as she looked up at him.

“Oh no, trust me, I love them.” Nick said, “So do you really like them?”

“Yes really.” Kelsey said as she leaned over, giving him a kiss on the cheek, “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome. Thanks for mine.” Nick said as he leaned over, giving her a soft kiss on the lips.

“You’re welcome.” Kelsey said as she looked back down at the earrings, “I’ll wear them New Year’s Eve.”

“Sweet, I’ll wear the country t-shirt. That shit’s whack.” Nick said as Kelsey started to laugh, “I love them.”

“Good, I saw them I thought of you.” Kelsey said as she reached for the remote and turned the TV on while Nick picked up the picture of Kelsey and looked at it, then looked back over at her and smiled.

“Yeah David, we’re leaving at 8:15 in the morning.” Rachel said that night as she stepped off of the elevator in the apartment building and started to walk up to Kelsey’s door, “It’s gonna be a long day tomorrow. You’re ass better be here by 8. Alright bye.”

She hung up her phone and put it in her purse as she started to unlock the door with her keys and opened it up slowly to see Nick on the sofa, propped up against some pillows with Kelsey leaning back against his chest watching a movie.

“Well hi there.” Rachel said as Nick looked back at her.

“Oh hey, I didn’t hear you.” Nick said, “She’s asleep.”

“Oh okay.” Rachel said as she shut and locked the door back, “Have a nice time?”

“Yeah we exchanged gifts then ordered a pizza and watched a movie.” Nick said, “Get your shit straightend out?”

“Basically. Like your shirts?”

“Loved them.”

“What did she get?” Rachel asked as Nick leaned over, picking up the earring box and handed it to Rachel, “Oh damn.”

“Matches her ring.”

“Well that’s nice.” Rachel said, “Um you gonna go with us to rehearsal tomorrow?”

“Well I came to hang out with Kelsey, so yeah.”

“Good gotta be there at 9. She’s gotta rehearse her set and then go through some stuff with the other people performing because there’s a big number at the end.” Rachel said, “So it’s basically gonna be an all day thing. Then some press conference announcing Tim’s tour that she’s on.”

“Okay.” Nick said as Rachel looked down at Kelsey and back at him, “What?”

“Nothing.” Rachel said as she smiled and turned around to walk in her room. Nick looked at her and then back at the TV when Kelsey started to move a little and listed her head up.

“You awake?” Nick asked as Kelsey looked around and then sat up.

“Yeah, I thought I heard Rachel.” Kelsey said as she yawned a little.

“Yeah she’s in her room.” Nick said, “Hm I’m gonna go take a shower and all, can I use yours?”

“No. Go rent a hotel room.” Kelsey said as Nick looked at her, “I’m joking. Of course.”

“I was about to say, damn woman.” Nick said laughing as he got up, getting his bag and walking in Kelsey’s room. Kelsey sat there and then stood up, walking over to Rachel’s room and knocked on the door before opening it up.

“Hey, you’re awake?” Rachel asked as Kelsey nodded her head and shut the door back.

“Nick’s gone to take a shower.” Kelsey said as she put her hands in her back pockets and looked at Rachel who was taking some clothes out of one of her boxes, “Um would it be really really bad if I like really really REALLY liked Nick?”

“Bad how?”

“Bad for my life or my career.”

“No, if he makes you happy then I don’t see what’s wrong.” Rachel said, “Why?”

“Cause I really like him Rachel.” Kelsey said as Rachel started to laugh, “What?”

“I knew that.” Rachel said as Kelsey sighed and looked around, “You two looked cute up there like that tonight.”

“God I really like him.” Kelsey said, “I dunno. He shares this whack ass peice of my mind and we think all the same things and he makes me laugh.”

“Well that’s good. You need someone like that.”

“I feel all bad because here I am like all giggly over a guy and you’re getting a divorce.” Kelsey said as, “I mean -”

“Oh no, don’t feel bad at all. I mean this is the first guy I’ve ever seen you this giggly over except Bryan White and hell he was engaged.” Rachel said as Kelsey laughed.

“Yeah I know, but that was just a little crush.” Kelsey said laughing, “Blah I’m so over that. Like, I think Nick’s the one.”

“The one?”

“Yeah.”

“Should I stay gone one night so you two can have the place to yourself?” Rachel asked as Kelsey looked around smiling, “Really?”

“I dunno, maybe. It just depends. I doubt it, not yet, but yeah him. I mean I’m not a virgin but I think he’s the one.” Kelsey said.

“Yeah well you might not be one thanks to that asshole, did you ever tell Nick who?”

“Hell no. If I were to tell him he’d freak the fuck out. It’s nobody in his posse so I don’t think he really needs to know and besides it was a long time ago.”

“Posse? Great, you’ve been around Nick too long.” Rachel said as Kelsey laughed a little, “Well you can tell him when you’re ready I think. Obviously you think you’re over it if you are thinking about Nick like that.”

“Oh I’m really thinking about him like that. Everytime he kisses me, I have these little sensations all over my body and -”

“Too much info.” Rachel said as she held her hand up, “Too much info.”

“Okay.” Kelsey said laughing as she looked around and crossed her arms, “He likd his shirts.”

“And I saw your present, very nice.”

“Dude, they’re beautiful. I’m going to wear them at the concert.” Kelsey said as she smiled.

“Hello?”

“Hey, it’s me. I’m here.”

“Hey man, how’s it going?”

“I think I’m in love.”

“Boy I think that I’m in love with you…”

“Shut up singing Rok.” Nick said as he stood there in the bathroom after taking a shower, talking on his cell phone, “Dude, seriously.”

“How did she like her earrings?”

“She loved them. She got me these two t-shirts. They’re whack. You’ll see them I’m sure.” Nick said laughing, “I just want to kiss her so bad and just, damn.”

“Well kiss her, you’ve kissed before.”

“Yeah, I mean little kisses mostly, nothing mind blowing. That’s what I wanna do is just kiss her in this mind blowing way that’ll make her weak in the knees.”

“Damn you sound like you’re writing a romance novel here Nick.”

“Shut up.”

“Well then kiss her.”

“Might wait til midnight New Year’s Eve and do that.” Nick said, “That’ll be good.”

“Why do you even ask me if you make up your mind yourself?”

“Good point. Night Rok.” Nick said as he hung up the phone and looked in the mirror smiling.

“Well.” Kelsey said as she walked into her room, putting her earring case that she got from Nick up on her dresser by her jewerly box. She looked up in the mirror, trying to fix her hair a little and then looked at herself. She stood there smiling, making different poses until she puckered her lips up, like she was going to kiss the mirror and Nick came out of the bathroom, looking at her.

“Kelsey?”

“Shit.” Kelsey said as she jumped and looked at him, “Sorry.”

“It’s okay.” Nick said as he started to laugh and looked around Kelsey’s room which was mainly white, “Like white?”

“Yeah.” Kelsey said laughing a little, “Have a nice shower?”

“Yeah.” Nick said, “Nice bathroom. Nice little framed pic of Backstreet Boys on your counter.”

“Huh? Shit.” Kelsey said as Nick started to laugh and Kelsey closed her eyes.

“I thought it was funny.”

“I bet.” Kelsey said smiling, “You should really blow dry your hair?”

“What? Don’t like it wet?” Nick asked as he shook his head a little and heard Kelsey sigh.

“Nah.” Kelsey said as she looked away, “I need to go get ready for bed. I’ve got a long day tomorrow.”

“Yep.” Nick said as he smiled over at her as Kelsey reached for a pair of pajama’s out of one of her drawers and looked over at Nick, “What?”

“The sofa isn’t really comfortable.”

“So?”

“You can sleep in here if you want.” Kelsey said as Nick nodded his head a little.

“Okay.” Nick said as Kelsey smiled a little and walked into the bathroom, shutting the door and leaning against it as she smiled.
