“Hmm.”

“What?”

“Can I have another one of those?” Nick asked as he looked back over at Kelsey who started to laugh at him, “What?”

“Another kiss?” Kelsey asked, “Nick, I’m trying to watch my movie.”

“You own this movie yo.” Nick said as he rolled back over on his side.

“After the movie.”

“Oh really?”

“Maybe.”

“Why maybe?”

“If you don’t shut up and let’s watch the movie, then well, you’re not gonna get another kiss.” Kelsey said smiling as Nick smiled back.

“Sweet, let’s watch these two people who I particularly don’t care for.”

“Don’t diss Matthew.”

“Southern people.”

“What do you have against southern people? Hello, you live in Florida dumbass. That’s the southern most part of the United States.” Kelsey said.

“Well excuse me. I do not carry a map with me everywhere I go.”

“You live in the penis of the United States.”

“Do what?” Nick asked as he started to laugh.

“Florida is the penis of the United States. Think about it.” Kelsey said as Nick cracked up laughing, “Why do you think they call it a peniusula?”

“You have a damn dirty mind woman.”

“I do not. It’s a comman fact.” Kelsey said as she looked over at him, “Face up to the fact, you live in the penis.”

“Oh god, shut up.” Nick said laughing.

“I can’t help it.” Kelsey said as she looked back at the movie.

“You’re saying it with such a straight face.”

“Because I’m serious.”

“I guess so.” NIck said laughing.

“Think about it. That’s why there’s so many gay people in Florida.”

“Oh would you shut up about it.” Nick said laughing as Kelsey turned back, facing the movie.

“Fine. You don’t get no kiss.”

“I don’t care.” Nick said as Kelsey cut her eyes back over at him.

“Awwwwwwww.” Kelsey said a little bit later as the movie was going off, “I like that movie.”

“Yeah.” Nick said as he looked around and did a sarcastic little clap.

“Shut up. I like that movie.” Kelsey said.

“Why wanna get married?”

“Hell no.”

“Aww well damn.” Nick said as Kelsey stopped the movie with the remote and looked at the TV, flipping channels, “There’s nothing on.”

“I probably could have told you that.” Kelsey said as Nick laughed a little when he heard ‘N Sync and looked up at the TV.

“Damn fuckers are everywhere yo.”

“Blah. If I see “Gone” one more time I might scream.” Kelsey said as she turned the TV off and turned over on her side, looking at Nick and he looked over at her.

“Well hi there.”

“Howdy.”

“Howdy?” Nick said as he started to laugh, “Hoooooowdy.”

“Shut up.” Kelsey said, “You keep making fun of me, I might start feeling bad you know.”

“Aww, I don’t mean to make fun of ya. You’re just so cute, I can’t help not to ya know.” Nick said as he laughed a little, “You’re little Florida is a penis talk and everything.”

“Yeah I bet.” Kelsey said, “I like that movie though, so don’t be dissing it if you wanna stay on my good side.”

“Oh,” Nick said looking at her, “Is that a threat?”

“As a matter of fact, yes it is.” Kelsey said smiling.

“So innocent looking but thinking about penises and making threats. Who would have thought?” Nick said as Kelsey cut her eyes over at him.

“Oh shut up.”

“Say that again.”

“I am not.” Kelsey said as she looked over at him, “Shut up.”

“I like it when you say that.”

“Shut up.” Kelsey said as Nick started giggling and she looked over at him, “You just want me to kiss you again.”

“I really do.” Nick said as Kelsey moved over a little, moving closing to her, “Are ya?”

“I really don’t know yet.” Kelsey whispered, “I shouldn’t.”

“Why not?” Nick asked as Kelsey tilted her head a little, looking at him.

“Hmmm I don’t know if I want to or not.” Kelsey said as she moved away from him, laying on her back.

“Oh really?” Nick asked as he looked over at her, “Why not? You kissed me a minute ago.”

“Maybe I’m waiting to be kissed for a change.” Kelsey said as she looked over at him.

“Oh really?” Nick asked as he looked back at the cieling, moving his hands to his sides.

“Yes, because if I recall, I’ve only been kissed once, and you’ve been kissed three times.”

“Well I’ll be damned.”

“What?”

“Didn’t realize that. Maybe I play hard to get.”

“Doesn’t seem like it.” Kelsey said as she laid there looking up at ceiling when Nick hovered over her, placing his left hand to her right side, propping himself up, looking down at her.

“Howdy.”

“Don’t take my word.”

“I think like the lone ranger or some shit like that said it before you did.”

“Did you watch that?”

“No not really. First cowboy I thought of.” Nick whispered as Kelsey started to laugh and Nick leaned down closer to her, “You know I like you right?”

“Yeah.”

“You like me?”

“Yeah.”

“I like you too.”

“You just told me.” Kelsey whispered as Nick smiled a little, leaning down so that their lips touched. They began to kiss each other slowly, taking each other’s mouth into their own until Nick backed away, looking at her.

“Kelsey.” Nick said as he looked down at her, with her eyes still closed and her mouth still parted a little, “Kelsey.”

“Um.” Kelsey mumbled as she opened her eyes, looking up at Nick, “Oh, hi there.”

“Get lost in the kiss?”

“Yeah.” Kelsey whispered as she looked around, “Been a while since I’ve been kissed like that.”

“Yeah, the kiss the other night wasn’t like that. Sorry.”

“You don’t have to be sorry.” Kelsey said, “I liked it.”

“You did?”

“Yeah.”

“Why?”

“Don’t ask me why, damn. You don’t need an answer to everything. I liked it -”

“Okay.” Nick said as he leaned back down, shutting her up, by kissing her again, just like before but a little bit more intensely. Kelsey even brought her hand from her stomach and placed it on his side, while kissing him back. They continued to kiss until Nick moved his lips away from hers and they both opened their eyes, looking at each other.

Then they didn’t say anything.

“Thank you for letting me breathe.” Kelsey whispered as she took a deep breath and Nick closed his eyes, laughing a little, “What?”

“Is that all you’ve got to say?”

“I have asthma.”

“I didn’t know that.” Nick said as Kelsey leaned up, giving him a little kiss on the lips, “Stop it.” as he gave her a quick kiss, “We’re even.”

“Good.” Kelsey said as she looked around and looked back at him, “I liked that.”

“Me too.”

“Alot.”

“Hell yes.” Nick said as Kelsey started to laugh a little as he moved and layed back down beside her, “Well, this has been an eventful night.”

“Yeah.” Kelsey sighed as she smiled and looked over at him, “Friends don’t kiss that way.”

“No they don’t, but that don’t mean we’re not friends.” Nick said as he looked over at her while she moved onto her stomach, looking over at him.

“No, it doesn’t.” Kelsey said as Nick smiled and moved back over on his side, looking at her.

“You want to get even more famous don’t you?”

“Hmm..” Kelsey mumbled as she looked up at him, pressing her lips together, “Yeah, I do.”

“Don’t.” Nick said as he looked at her, “Stay like you are. It sucks being on top.” Kelsey busted out laughing as Nick looked around, “Dude stop thinking nasty! I didn’t mean it like that.”

“Hey I’m not thinking nasty.” Kelsey said as she started blushing, “But I know what you mean. I mean I don’t care if I become the biggest star in the world. I just want to be successful.”

“You already are.” Nick said as Kelsey looked down and over at him, “I mean, you don’t want to become Britney.”

“Hell no. That’s not me. I’m being me, the real me. I’m not being all sugar-coated or anything. I don’t care if I don’t go pop. I’m country and that’s all I want to be.” Kelsey said as she looked up over at the wall and back down at Nick, “I just want to win that one award.”

“Which one?” Nick asked.

“Well I have these goals that I made when I got my deal and I’m going to finish them all.” Kelsey said as she looked back over at Nick.

“Which is?”

“One - I want to win a Grammy. Two - I want to have a hit album, meaning like selling over 2 million copies which is alot for a country album that hasn’t crossed over to pop.”

“Right.”

“Three - I want to win Female Vocalist Of The Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards and the Country Music Assocation Awards. Four - I want to headline my own tour. Five - I want to have my dream house.” Kelsey said as Nick interrupted her.

“Which is?” Nick asked.

“A little beach house, right on the beach where I can lay in my bed and look out at the water.” Kelsey said as she looked over at him.

“Is that all of your goals?”

“No.”

“Okay finish up.”

“Six - I want to be able to go home and tell everybody that said I wouldn’t be able to make it, fuck you. Nobody ever believed in me, except my mom who just barely did. The only person that ever really believed in me was Rachel.” Kelsey said as she lifted her head up, propping it up with her arm, looking at Nick.

“I believe in you.” Nick whispered.

“You do?”

“I did the first time I saw you sing. If you weren’t a great singer and so pretty, I would have turned the channel and never given you a second thought.” Nick said as Kelsey smiled a little, “Is that all?”

“Seven - I want to find my soulmate and live happily ever after.” Kelsey said as she looked over at Nick and looked down, “That’s my goals. If I surpass them, then it’s great. But if I just acheive those, I’ll be happy and set for the rest of my life.”

“You believe in that soulmate stuff?” Nick asked as Kelsey looked over at him.

“Yeah, I do. I always have.”

“There’s someone out there for everybody. You’ve just got to look and find them.” Nick said as Kelsey nodded her head, agreeing with him.

“Yeah.” Kelsey said smiling and layed her head back down on the bed, looking at him.

“I think all of those things will come true though.” Nick said as he looked at her.

“You think so?”

“I’m pretty sure.”

“How do you know?”

“What if I said I visited a phsycic and asked about you?” Nick asked as Kelsey started to laugh a little, “Nah, I just know.”

“I’m not so sure. I’m never really lucky.” Kelsey said as she looked down on the bed.

“Me either.” Nick said as he smiled at her, “You tired?”

“Yeah.” Kelsey said as Nick reached over, pushing her bangs out of her face.

“Here.” Nick said as he reached up at the top of the bed, handing her a pillow and getting him one, “How bout we just sleep like this?”

“Fine with me.” Kelsey said as she snuggled up to the pillow and closed her eyes. Nick moved his pillow and then reached down, taking his t-shirt off and tossing it over on a chair, laying down on his stomach. Then he wrapped his arms around the pillow, laying his head down on it and began looking over at Kelsey who had her eyes closed, but soon opened.

“Thought you had done fallen asleep.”

“Nah. You took your shirt off.”

“Felt like it was chocking me.”

“Oh.” Kelsey said as leaned over, giving him a little kiss on the lips, “Goodnight.”

“Night.” Nick said smiling as Kelsey smiled, and snuggled back up to her pillow, closing her eyes. Nick layed there a few minutes watching her, until finally he shut his eyes and began to fall asleep.

“Yo, uh David right?” AJ asked early the next morning as he walked from his door, to see David about to unlock Kelsey’s suite door.

“Yeah, what’s up?” David asked as he pulled the key card out of his pocket and began to unlock the door.

“I need to see if Nick’s in there you know.” AJ said as he walked up to him, rubbed his hands together and looked around.

“Nosey aren’t you?”

“That’s what the ‘N’ in McLean starts for.” AJ said as David started to laugh and opened the door up.

“They were suppose to have a ’sleepover’.” David said using his fingers to quote the word sleepover.

“Sleepover my ass.” AJ said as they walked into the suite and David looked around, “Damn don’t see him.”

“There’s Kelsey’s room.” David said pointing over to it as AJ walked up to the door, opening it slowly to see Kelsey and Nick laying with their heads at the foot of the bed. They were both laying directly beside one another, facing each other, and Nick had his arm wrapped around her.

“Ah ha.” AJ said as he rubbed his hands together, smiling, “Just friends. Yeah right.”
