“I can’t fucking believe I’ve lost the fucking number!” Nick yelled as he stood there in his suite. Brian just looked around. The place was turned upside down, along with his and AJ’s suite.

“I don’t know Nick.” Brian said as he scratched his chin thinking, “Damn.”

“Fuck.” Nick sighed as he rolled his eyes, “I should have called her sooner.”

“I guess so.”

“Atleast then she would have my number.” Nick said, “God dammit. I could kick myself in the ass.”

“Want me to?”

“Shut up Rok, damn.” Nick said as he sat down on the sofa, “Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.”

“Fuck.”

“Okay.”

“I’m never coming home again and having all of those people here again.” Kelsey said as she sat in indian style on the sofa in the living room.

“Oh, you haven’t seen them in a while. They’re all proud of you.” Sharon said as Kelsey cut her eyes over at Rachel who was looking over some papers.

“I don’t care. What the hell was it Candy was saying? She said I was flirting with a married man last night? I was not.” Kelsey said.

“You were flirting with Nick.” David said as Sharon said down on the sofa inbetween Rachel and Kelsey.

“Thank you David.”

“Same Nick that you almost slept in his room? Am I missing something here?” Sharon asked as Kelsey rolled her eyes, nodding her head no.

“No. I was just doing it to be funny. Like the whole time in LA I met the other guys and he was scared to meet me because he liked my music -”

“Liked you.” Rachel whispered as Sharon looked over at her.

“Blah, whatever.” Kelsey said as she rested her head on the arm of the chair, “They all act weird around me now.”

“Who?” Sharon asked.

“All of them. I’m the same person you know but they act weird around me like they don’t know what to say or do.” Kelsey said, “They’re not the same.”

“No, they just are really proud of you. The phone was ringing off the hook last night.” Sharon said as Kelsey looked over at her.

“They still act weird.” Kelsey said, “I’m still the same person I was 3 years ago.”

“No, you’re not.” Sharon said, “You’ve got out of here unlike they did and they’re just jealous and don’t know what to say.”

“Yeah.” Kelsey said, “Still. I’m going up to take a shower and then I’m gonna get online.”

“Okay.” Sharon said as Kelsey looked over at Rachel.

“Chat?” Rachel asked.

“Yeah.” Kelsey said as she smiled, leaning over to kiss Sharon on the cheek and started to go upstairs.

“So how did she take it?” Rachel asked as she looked over at Sharon.

“Better than I thought she would. I don’t think she understands how serious it is.” Sharon said as David sat up.

“Well how serious is it?” David asked.

“Pretty serious. They said that it’s spreading pretty fast.” Sharon said as David looked over at Rachel.

“Did they give you a time span?” Rachel asked.

“A few months.” Sharon said as she sat down, “But I don’t want Kelsey to know. She’s got to go and do the things she needs to do and not sit around worrying about me. She’s worked too hard to get to where she is now and I do not want her to just stop.”

“She’s going to be mad.” Rachel said, “You can’t just keep that from her.”

“Well I am. I know how much she’s wanted this since she was little and I’m not going to let her just stop because of me.” Sharon said, “I will visit her sometimes but the doctors told me to get alot of rest. I just want her to be happy. I want her to do everything that she wants to do. Meet someone nice and have a nice life and let all of her dreams come true.”

“Meet someone nice?” David asked as he started to laugh.

“Sharon, I’ve gotta fill ya in.” Rachel said as her and David both started to laugh while Sharon looked at them.

“Well I can’t find the damn number.” Nick said as him and Brian walked out of the elevator, “Damn I’m a moron.”

“Nah, just lost it. People loose things all the times.” Brian said as Nick rolled his eyes, and walked past the suite that Kelsey was staying in.

“Well I’m gonna go in and get online.” Nick said as he walked up to his room, “Damn, I’m pissed.”

“It’s okay.” Brian said, “Take it easy. Go talk to Leigh or something. I’ll go talk to my Leigh. We’ll talk to our Leigh’s.”

“Are you trying to make me laugh?” Nick asked as he opened up his door.

“Trying.” Brian said, “See ya in the morning.”

“Alright.” Nick said, “Goodnight.” Nick walked into his suite, shutting the door, and locking it as he walked over to his laptop, sitting down on the floor infront of the sofa and turned it on. He looked up at the TV while Windows loaded and he clicked to log online. He waited for the connection and then logged onto his messanger to see nobody on. He rolled his eyes, logging in to check his e-mail to see no new message.

“Damn.” Nick mumbled as he opened up a new window and went to go check his usual pages he checked.

Kelsey walked out of her bathroom and into her bedroom, looking around at it. She just stood there looking. A poster of Backstreet Boys over on one wall. Then on the other was a poster of Reba McEntire. There was a poster of Faith Hill and Tim McGraw on another and then a poster of um ‘N Sync on the other.

“Fuckers.” Kelsey said as she walked over, tearing it off of the wall and wadding it up, “Damn when Timberfuck had all that bleach in his damn hair.” She wadded the poster up into a little ball, throwing it over into the trash can ringing it. She walked over to her backpack, pulling her laptop out of it and crawled up on her bed, straightening her tank top she had on as her computer came on.

She sat there looking around her room again thinking about what her mom told her until her internet connection went through and she click on her e-mail, logging in to see a new message. It was from him. She clicked on it and began to read it.

“Ohhh.” Kelsey said as she giggled and went to click on her messanger to see that Nicholas was on. She slimed, sending him a message.

Nick: hey hi.

Kelsey: i just got your mail, sorry i wasn’t on last night

Nick: It’s okay, how are you?

Kelsey: umm not so good, i’m tired

Nick: Awwww what’s wrong?

Kelsey: well i came home today and i found out my mom has cancer

Nick: Cancer?

Nick: What kind?

Kelsey: yeah, Ovarian cancer, she said she’s going to be okay though

Nick: Damn, I’m sorry

Kelsey: it’s okay, i guess everything will be okay

Nick: You’re sure?

Nick: First of all, are you okay?

Kelsey: yeah i’m okay just worried a little i mean i don’t have anybody else really

Nick: Yeah it’s very sad.

Nick: I never lost someone near me so I couldn’t tell.

Kelsey: My dad died but I didn’t know him

Nick: I hope she’ll be fine. She’s okay?

Kelsey: I don’t know, she says she is. She’s usually with me but lately she’s been at home because she’s been tired and she finally went to the doctor.

Kelsey: She said everything was okay though.

Nick: I do hope she’ll be okay and you’ll be too.

Nick: It must be hard to find something like that

Kelsey: Yeah, but I was kind of expecting something bad anyway, I always get a feeling about this kinda stuff

Kelsey: yeah but I’m leaving tomorrow

Kelsey closed her laptop up smiling as she turned it off and put it on the nightstand beside her bed. She walked over to her door, peeking out to see them still talking downstairs and decided to go ahead and go to sleep. She’d had a long day and was still tired from the day before.

She walked over, pulling her covers back and climbed into bed, laying down and pulling the covers over her. She layed there on her back, looking up at the ceiling. She clapped her hands and the lights went out.

“God I missed that.” Kelsey whispered as she began to giggle.

Nick sat there looking at his laptop after he had logged off of the messanger when Leigh left. He opened up a explorer window and typed in Kelsey’s official site. He looked at the news which was nothing new and decided to go to her official message board.

He looked around at some topics which was nothing unusual until he saw his name.

“Huh?” Nick mumbled as he clicked on the topic and began to read it.

Hey guys, do you find it really weird that last night when Kelsey performed “Let Me Love You” on the awards that she was looking directly out to Nick of the Backstreet Boys? I mean, she says Brian is her favorite but Brian is married and Kelsey wouldn’t sing to him.

Plus, someone said over on a Backstreet Boys board that they were a seat filler for the awards and that they kept going over to talk to Kelsey and that Nick and Kelsey was at the party afterwards together.

Maybe they’re friends or more. Watcha think?

“I think I’m a moron for loosing her number?” Nick said outloud as he rolled his eyes, “Damn people don’t miss a thing I’m telling you.” He closed the window out and shut down his computer as he sat there smiling.

“Damn I can’t wait to go on this date and for Kelsey to come back to LA.” Nick whispered to himself as he smiled, turning his computer off.
