“What?” Kelsey asked as she looked up to see Justin and Sabrina walk up to them.

“Hey Nick.” Sabrina said as Nick cut his eyes over at Kelsey and looked back at them.

“Hey. What do you want?” Nick asked as Justin looked away like he wanted to laugh.

“I was just coming over to see how you were.” Sabrina said as Nick crossed his arms, looking away and then looked back at her.

“I’m fine. I was talking to someone here if you don’t mind.” Nick said as Sabrina looked over at Kelsey who kept looking back and forth from Sabrina to Nick.

“Oh, you’re date?” Sabrina asked.

“Uh - ” Nick mumbled as he looked over at Kelsey who looked at him, “As a matter of fact, yes she is.”

“When did you start going out with her?” Justin asked as Kelsey butted in.

“Her has a name or did all that bleach you used back in the day finally get to your brain?” Kelsey asked as Nick started to laugh and Sabrina looked at her.

“Don’t talk to him like that.” Sabrina said as Nick looked at Sabrina.

“Then why don’t you go the fuck away Sabrina. Go on and go fuck Justin again and do whatever it is you two assholes do. I don’t want to fucking talk to you.” Nick said as Justin looked at her.

“Don’t talk to her like that.” Justin said, “Because-”

“Oh I think I have every fucking right to talk to her any damn way I want.” Nick said, “Go enjoy yourselfs and leave me the fuck alone.”

“With your date?” Sabrina asked as she looked over at Kelsey who looked back at her giving her the evil eye.

“Yeah, so go the hell away. Go play with Kirkpatrick’s ass or something. Whatever it is you ‘N Sync fuckers do for fun.” Nick said as Justin was about to say something when Sabrina pulled him away, “Fucking bitch.”

“Was that your ex?” Kelsey asked as Nick rolled his eyes, “I knew she looked familiar.

“Yes it was my fucking ex.” Nick snapped as Kelsey looked at him.

“She’s with Justin now?” Kelsey asked, looking confused, “Who the hell would choose Justin over you?”

“I don’t fucking know. She did, go ask her.” Nick snapped as he walked over picking up a drink. Kelsey stood there looking around until she started to walk off, looking around starting to get pissed herself.

Nick stood there, drinking his drink and turned back around to say something to Kelsey when he noticed she wasn’t there.

“Fuck.” Nick muttered as he looked around not to see her, “God damn what have I done now.”

“Kelsey, where you going?” Brian asked as he stopped her as she was about to walk out of the ballroom where the party was being held.

“My room.” Kelsey said as she looked back at Nick who was looking around, “See you later Brian.”

“Bye girl.” Brian said as Kelsey started to walk out and headed over to the elevator. She pushed the button to go up and when the door opened, she walked in, hitting her floor button and the doors closed.

“Rachel.” Nick said as he walked up to Rachel who was talking to Joey, Samantha, and David, “Where’s Kelsey?”

“Um she was over there.” Rachel said, “Weren’t you just talking to her?”

“Yeah but well long story. I think I pissed her off. I didn’t mean to but my ex and her new boyfriend came up and I couldn’t take it. I didn’t mean to snap at her.” Nick said as Rachel looked around.

“I dunno, maybe she went to our room.” Rachel said.

“David, aren’t you suppose to be doing your job?” Nick asked as David looked at him, “I’m joking. I’ll find her. Enjoy yourselfs.” Nick said he walked off and Rachel turned back around to talk to them.

Nick looked around, not seeing Kelsey anywhere until he finally saw Brian who was waving his arms at him.

“Rok, you see -”

“Kelsey went to her room. What did you do?” Brian asked as Nick rolled his eyes.

“Sabrina and Timberlake walked up to me. I got pissed and snapped at her and when I turned my back she left.” Nick said as Brain shook his head at him.

“She went back to her room.” Brian said as Nick smiled, walking out of the party and walked over to the elevator waiting for it to open.

“Okay so are we taking bets now?” David asked as him and Rachel sat there at the bar when Kevin and Kristin walked up.

“Bets on what?” Kevin asked as Rachel and David turned around.

“Oh on um Kelsey and Nick.” Rachel said as he stuck her hand out to shake Kristin’s, “I’m Rachel, Kelsey’s manager.”

“Hi, so what are we betting about?” Kristin asked as David looked at Rachel, “Because we already know something about them.”

“Kristin.” Kevin said as he looked at her.

“Hold up.” Rachel said, “Is it what we know?”

“What do you know?” Kevin asked.

“Involves internet?” Rachel asked as Kristin and Kevin cracked up laughing, “We know the same thing then.”

“Kelsey is Leigh and Nick is Nicholas?” Kevin asked as Rachel nodded her head, “Me, Kris, and Brian know.”

“We know too.” David as he pointed at Rachel and himself.

“So what’s the bet?” Kristin asked, “I’m in.”

“As to whether or not they’ll get together before Leigh and Nicholas meet.” Rachel said as Kevin and Kristin looked at each other.

“I say they’ll talk some but not get together no.” Kevin said.

“I agree with my husband.” said Kristin as Rachel looked at David.

“I think they’ll get together.” David said, “I don’t know if they’ll even go through with this dinner.”

“I think they’ll become friends first. Kelsey doesn’t move into relationships fast. Well she has with Nicholas, but that’s different I think.” Rachel said.

“Hmm so this bet ends when it comes to the point that they have to go out to dinner?” Kevin asked.

“Yes.” David said.

“I’m in.” Kristin said as they all agreed and shook on it.

Nick stood there in the elevator with his hands in his pockets, pressing his lips together, watching the numbers on the elevator go up until it finally stopped on their floor. He walked out of the elevator and looked down the hallway to see Kelsey sitting on the floor in the hallway next to her suite door and he started to laugh a little.

“What are you doing?” Nick asked as Kelsey looked up at him and rolled her eyes, “I’m sorry about snapping at you.”

“It’s fine.” Kelsey said as she looked in the oppisite direction.

“What are you doing in the hallway? Waiting for me?” Nick asked as he did a cheesy grin. Kelsey rolled her eyes looking up at him and then looked back down.

“I didn’t have the key with me.” Kelsey said, “And my feet hurt from these shoes and I didn’t feel like walking back down there to get it from Rachel.”

“Oh.” Nick said as he looked around, “Mind if I sit down?”

“It’s a floor, take your choice of any spot.” Kelsey said as Nick laughed a little and sat down on the floor beside her, leaning against the wall.

“Sabrina’s my ex-girlfriend. We dated for like a year and then 6 months ago at some awards, I forgot which ones, we were at the after party and I found her missing. I looked around and then I started walking around the hotel and I saw her and Justin together. She’d been sleeping with him behind my back.” Nick said as Kelsey looked over at him.

“Okay now that’s gross. Is that why he’s not with Britney anymore?” Kelsey asked.

“I guess. So, I broke up with her and well I’ve had a hard time dealing with it.” Nick said, “And tonight they pissed me off and I’m sorry I snapped at you. I didn’t mean to.”

“It’s okay. I’ve just had a really bad day.” Kelsey said as Nick looked over at her.

“How can you say you’ve had a bad day? You did a great performance.” Nick said as Kelsey started to laugh a little, “And I don’t mean that just because you know I got a little serenade I guess you could call it, plus you won your first award - except that one for the burnt cookies.”

“Yeah.” Kelsey said as she laughed a little, “But I haven’t had time to do anything for me today. I didn’t get to talk to a good friend of mine like I wanted to.”

“Yeah, I know what you mean. I couldn’t do what I wanted today either - except for one thing.” Nick said as he looked over at her, “I got to meet you.”

“Finally.” Kelsey said as Nick cracked up laughing, “After what, two weeks of basically being neighbors every damn where we go.”

“I think you’re following me.” Nick said as Kelsey looked over at him.

“I don’t wear blue eyeshadow thank you very much.” Kelsey said as Nick looked over at her.

“You know about the blue eyeshadow?” Nick asked as he started to laugh.

“Yes, all your little stalkers wear it, except for me. Although I’m not a stalker. You stalk me.” Kelsey said as Nick laughed, “Although ya know, blue eyeshadow, well it would bring out the blue in your eyes.”

“Shut up.” Nick said as Kelsey started to laugh a little, “You’re actually kinda funny.”

“I was voted Class Clown my senior year of high school.” Kelsey said as Nick started to laugh, “Some bitch got Most Likely To Succeed. Guess where she works now.”

“Where?”

“McDonald’s.” Kelsey said as Nick cracked up laughing, “I’m serious. She’s the assistant manager. Last time I was home I went to McDonald’s and I ordered this double cheeseburger right. I only asked for ketchup and mayonaise and they put unions and shit on there. So I went to complain to the manager and it was her. I was like ‘What the fuck?’. She dropped out of college her first semester and started working there. Yet I get voted class clown.”

“That shit doesn’t matter.” Nick said, “I didn’t get voted nothing.”

“Best hairstyle at those awards back in the day.”

“Shut up. You know too much.”

“I seriously do.” Kelsey said as Nick laughed again.

“Dude, where’s Nick at?” AJ asked as him and Howie walked over to Brian who was talking to Kristin and Kevin.

“Why?” Brian asked as Kevin and Kristin laughed.

“Cuz there’s this chick over there. I think he’d like her.” AJ said as Howie shook his head.

“He’s with his own chick.” Kevin said as AJ tilted his glasses down looking at him.

“Oh really?” AJ asked, acting suprised.

“His country chick?” Howie asked as Brian started laughing.

“Kelsey is Leigh, his internet girl.” Kevin said as Howie and AJ looked in shock.

“Whaaaaaaaaat?!?!”

“Ever since I saw your face, nothing in my life has been the same.”

“I walk around just sayin’ your name, without you my world would end yeah.”

“Dude, we’re whack. Sadly enough I like that fucking song.” Nick said as Kelsey started laughing.

“Rachel would be in shock if she knew I actually knew the words.” Kelsey said, “I actually kinda like that song. But I still hate the fuckers!”

“Such a foul mouth on a little southern country girl.” Nick said, “Didn’t they teach you manners in church every Sunday?”

“Pshhhh I haven’t been to church since I was like 10.” Kelsey said as Nick laughed.

“Not what it says in your official bio.” Nick said as Kelsey cracked up laughing.

“Don’t believe everything you read online.” Kelsey said as Nick looked over at her.

“So that whole Celeberity crush is Brian Littrell is false then?” Nick asked as Kelsey looked over at him.

“Oh no, I do have a crush on Brian. Just, you know, he’s unreachable.”

“Unreachable?”

“Married Nick.”

“Ahh yeah. Okay gotcha. So what, I’m next in line?” Nick asked as he looked over at her laughing.

“No.”

“AJ?”

“Yeah?”

“Well what about me?” Nick asked as Kelsey started to laugh even more.

“You were never behind Brian.” Kelsey said as she looked over at Nick and looked away, “Blah. Shut up Kelsey.”

“Uh huh.” Nick said as he looked down at the floor, “Watcha doing tomorrow?”

“Umm I have to call in at a radio station tomorrow afternoon I think, that’s all. Then the next day I leave for New York City. Then like two days later I leave for Nashville. Then I have some meetings and I premiere my new video on MWL on CMT and then I have a concert with Kenny Chensey then I come back to LA until right before Christmas.” Kelsey said as she looked over at him.

“We’re going back to LA tomorrow afternoon I think.” Nick said, “We’ll be there until right before Christmas.”

“Maybe we’ll be neighbors again.” Kelsey said as she smiled over at him and looked down again.

“Maybe.” Nick said as he looked up, looking at the door across the hall, “So can I have your number?”
