“Me?” Kevin asked, “No.”
“Sure bout that?” Brian asked as he took a sip of his orange juice.
“I’m definetly sure.” Kevin said.
“Ah well he likes both of them although he’s never met Kelsey.” Brian said.
“Never met this Leigh chick either.” Kevin said as he looked over at him.
“Well he’s talked to her atleast. Of course I shouldn’t be digging into Nicky’s personal life. I should get my own.” Howie pointed out as Kevin and Brian laughed at him.
Knock! Knock!
“Damn, who is it?” Nick yelled as he walked out of the bathroom, putting his t-shirt on.
Open up Carter.
“Coming.” Nick said as he unlocked the door as AJ barged in, “Dude, what’s up?”
“It’s over. I’m not going to ask her to marry me. We broke up last night.”
“NO WAY!”
“Yes way. I’m not ready for that. I wanna be single. I wanna mingle.”
“Get to steppin then!” Nick said laughing.
“You could be a lil more sympathetic Nick.” AJ said looking at him.
“Oh well dude I’m sorry but trust me. It’s all good. There’s alot of available girls out there. I mean Kelsey’s got this manager chick and she’s kinda cute ya know-”
“Kelsey? That singer chick? Dude what the fuck? You hook up with her yet?” AJ asked.
“Hell no, I’m just sayin’ she’s got this friend so go talk to her.” Nick said laughing.
“After you talk to Kelsey.” AJ said as Nick rolled his eyes.
“Blah man.”
“Oh come on.. I’m not talking to anybody yet. Damn I just broke up with my girlfriend.” AJ said as he looked down.
“HA! Ya know how I feel now.” Nick said as he looked at him.
“Nick that was six months ago dude. It’s time to move on.” AJ said as Nick smiled at him.
“Maybe I am.” Nick said as he giggled and walked back into the bathroom. AJ stood there looking confused as he turned around and walked over to the bathroom door, seeing Nick look in the mirror, shaving.
“Did um you just giggle?”
“Maybe I did.”
“Oh good god!”
“Kelsey, you ready? Samantha and Joey are already here. David’s here. We’re ready to go for the fitting.” Rachel yelled out as Kelsey stood in her room, making a weird face.
“Coming!” Kelsey said as she opened up the door, putting on her jacket, “Hey chicks!”
“Hey!” Joey squeeled as they all looked at her, “Sorry, I guess I’m a lil excited to be in the video.”
“Ya think?” Samantha asked as Joey looked over at her, giving her a evil look.
“Well I didn’t want fake back up singers.” Kelsey said as she laughed.
“And she was afraid you two would kick her ass.” David added in as Kelsey put her hand on her hip and looked over at him.
“Thanks Dave.”
“No problem hun.”
“Alright, well let’s get going.” Rachel said as everybody started pilling out of the door the same time Kevin walked out of Howie’s room.
“Kelsey!”
“Huh?” Kelsey said as she turned around to see Kevin calling after her.
“Oh my god.” Joey and Samantha mumbled at the same time.
“Hey Kelsey, can I talk to you a minute?” Kevin asked as Kelsey looked around.
“Sure.” Kelsey said as she walked away from the others and walked up to Kevin, “What’s up?”
“I just wanted to tell you that Kristin got your CD and she loves it.” Kevin said smiling.
“Really?” Kelsey asked.
“Yes. She said she’d meet you at the Billboard Awards.” Kevin said as he looked over to see Samantha and Joey, “Who are your friends?”
“Oh that’s Samantha and Joelynn, my back up singers. They’re going to go get fitted for the video we’ve gotta start shooting tomorrow.” Kelsey said.
“Oh sweet. Alright, I just wanted to let ya know that she loves the album.” Kevin said.
“Okay tell her I’m looking forward to meet her.” Kelsey said.
“I will. Have a good day.”
“You too” Kelsey said as she walked back up to the others where David was holding the elevator for them.
“Uh so Kel, when did you become buddy buddy with Kevin Richardson?” Joey asked as Samantha hit her.
“Stop being so nosey man.” Samantha said.
“Since him and Nick Carter were playing knock and run on my door the other night and Nick kept peeking around the corner at me.” Kelsey said laughing as they looked at her and she looked over at them while Rachel and David laughed, “What?”
“You met Nick?”
“No. Neither him or AJ.” Kelsey said as she looked over at Rachel who was smiling at her, “What?”
“Nothing.” Rachel said smiling as she looked straight ahead.
“Oh no.” Brian said as he walked out of his room to see Nick and AJ walking out of Nick’s, “You two are together - that means nothing but trouble.”
“Ha ha.” AJ laughed sarcastically as Kevin and Howie came out of their rooms.
“Oh great, everybody’s ready.” Kevin said as Nick looked over at AJ.
“You gonna tell ‘em.” Nick whispered as AJ looked over his glasses at Nick.
“Tell us what?” Howie asked as they stood there with their security while AJ cleared his throat.
“Well..” AJ said as he made a weird face, “I broke up with Stephanie last night. I’m not gonna ask her to marry me. I’m single now.”
“You did?” Kevin asked in shock as he looked over at Howie, “Damn D, I owe you fifty bucks.”
“Pay up country boy.” Howie said as he stuck his hand out.
“Damn D, taking bets on me too?” AJ asked as Howie smiled at him.
“You too? Who else does he have a bet on?” Brian asked as Howie and AJ looked over at Nick who was looking over at Kelsey’s door, “Oh god.”
“What?” Nick asked, “You’ve got a bet on me?”
“As to whether or not you will ever meet this Leigh chick.” AJ said as Kevin laughed.
“Gee, thanks for the support. Who’s betting what?” Nick asked.
“I say you meet her.” Howie said as Nick smiled a little.
“And I say your ass will be a chicken and not meet her.” AJ said, “Much like that country chick.”
“Wait, hold up. When did this become about me? You’re the one that was telling the guys you broke up with Stephanie.” Nick said, “Don’t turn this situation into something about me.”
“Fine fine. Guys I broke up with Stephanie, now can we talk about Nick?” AJ asked as Nick rolled his eyes, putting his backpack on started walking down to the elevator.
“AJ, leave him alone.” Kevin said as AJ stuck his tongue out at him as they all followed him.
“So we’re going to do Let Me Love You there?” Kelsey asked as she sat there looking over some papers, “I was wanting to do the new song.”
“I did too.” Samantha said as her and Joey were getting fitted for their outfits by the designers.
“Nah, you’re nominated for Let Me Love You.” Joey said, “You should sing that one.”
“That’s the one the label wanted you to sing.” Rachel said as Kelsey looked over at her and rolled her eyes, “Don’t roll them eyes at me. It’s not my choice.”
“Hiiiiissss..” David said as he sat there reading a copy of Sports Illustrated, “Although I bet that blonde guy would love to see you sing it.”
“What blonde guy?” Joey asked as she looked over at Kelsey.
“Carter.” Rachel said as she was trying to dial someone on her cell phone.
“Why would he?” Joey asked, “Something I don’t know?”
“He’s got a crush on Kelsey.” Rachel said as Kelsey reached over, hitting her.
“Dude, he does not!” Kelsey said as she looked over at her, “Damn I wish you people would stop saying that.”
“Ooooohh.” Samantha said as she started giggling.
“Don’t you go to giggling.” Kelsey said looking at her.
“Oh let’s everybody giggle.” David said as he started to giggle.
“I’m going to bitchslap every one of ya.” Kelsey said as she sat the papes down in her lap, and crossed her arms.
“The diva is coming out.” Rachel said as Kelsey smacked her on the arm again.
“Why are we sitting in a room not saying a word?” AJ asked as he looked around at the others.
Howie was sitting there, looking at messages from his Yahoo Messanger on his cell phone. Kevin was sitting there with a pen in his hand, turning it over and over and over again, while taping it on the table. Brian was sitting there with both hands on the table, holding them together. Nick sat there scribbling something down on a peice of paper and looked up to see everybody looking at him.
“What?”
“Watcha writing?” Kevin asked as he tried to lean over to see it while Nick covered it up.
“Notta.” Nick said as he folded the peice of paper up and put it in his pocket, “Just drawing something. So what we gonna do today?”
“Talk.” Howie said as he looked around at them.
“Thought we were gonna work.” Nick said.
“Well we are.” Brian said, “We can talk about what we want on the new album.”
“Music.” AJ said as Nick started to laugh.
“Oh come on, none of us are up for this today.” Nick said, “AJ’s all traumatized by his breakup.” as AJ looked over at him, “Okay maybe not.”
“I’m with him.” Howie said, “Can’t we just start tomorrow?”
“I wouldn’t mind.” AJ said as Kevin looked at all of them.
“On one condition.” Kevin said as they all looked at him.
“When did he become boss?” AJ asked as he looked over at Nick who shrugged his shoulders, “What’s that Kev?”
“Nick goes to Kelsey’s room and knock on the door and let someone answer.” Kevin said as they all laughed but Nick, “So Nick?”
“Well alright, let’s go because I already did that.” Nick said as he stood up, grabbing his back pack.
“Yeah.. yeah right.” AJ said as he sat there laughing.
“I did, last night after me and Rok came up from dinner. Brian went in his room, I went and knocked on the door and that Rachel chick answered. Kelsey was asleep on the sofa.” Nick said, “Don’t believe me. Ask that woman. Now I’m out of here.” as he smiled, walking over to the door, leaving the others in there, “Later.”
“Bye.” Brian said laughing as Nick walked out and Kevin looked over at Brian, “What Kev?”
“What are you laughing about?” Kevin asked as Brian laughed even more.
“Come on Rok, tell us.” AJ said as he sat up, propping against the table while holding his hands together.
“Yeah, we wanna know.” Howie said as Brian looked at them all.
“Nick’s all confused about if he should meet Kelsey first or this Leigh girl.” Brian said, “I told him to meet Kelsey first. She knew who he was.”
“He’ll never meet either one. His ass is chicken.” AJ said as he stood up, “And I’m going shopping.”
“Oh no.” Howie mumbled as he looked down.
“Come on D.” AJ said as Howie looked over at Brian and stood up.
“Alright.” Howie said as him and AJ walked out of the room.
“Well.” Brian said as he looked over at Kevin, “What ya wanna do Kev?”
“Eeeh, let’s go chill.” Kevin said as he Brian laughed and they got up, walking out of the room.
Nick walked into his hotel room a little bit later, going straight over to his laptop, turning it on, and started to connect to the internet.
He logged into his e-mail to see 1 new message in his inbox. He smiled, clicking on the message and began to read it.
My ghetto boy!
Okay I’m not sure if you’re ghetto and you’re right. You are so right. This whole little sweet and innocent thing is an act and I’m really this ghetto girl with a fro that hangs out with her posse, pimpin’ and chillin’ in my hood.
Okay that was going just a BIT too far don’t ya think? LMAO
So you wanna meet one day? Umm yeah I think I’d like that. Maybe closer to Christmas maybe? How does that sound? Lemme know, I’ll work it around my schedule *sigh* I’m such a busy girl.
Why did I get drunk? I can’t say. It’s embarrassing. It really really is, VERY embarrassing and I can’t say. I don’t drink very often so when I do, it doesn’t take much to get me drunk! LMAO
Ohhhh you got Kelsey’s cd? It’s good isn’t it? You like the duet with Bryan White? I heard that *might* be her 4th single but I dunno. I think my favorite one that
hasn’t been a single is “I’m Not Suppose To Love You Anymore” also. I like that one alot.

Nick smiled as he hit reply and then stopped, looking around.
“She wants to meet before Christmas. I think I can manage that.” he thought to himself as he started to type her back.
Kelsey!
“Uhh..” Kelsey moaned as she sat there in a closet at the designer’s with her laptop in her lap, trying to log online.
Kelsey, where are you?
“Damn, shut up.” Kelsey whispered to herself as the door opened and Rachel looked down at her, “Uh hi!” as she waved a little.
“Kelsey, oh my god, you’ve lost your mind!” Rachel said laughing as Kelsey rolled her eyes.
“I just wanna check my mail. That’s all.” Kelsey said, “10 minutes top.”
“Alright.” Rachel said smiling as she shut the door back and Kelsey logged into her e-mail to see a letter from Nicholas. She smiled as she clicked on the letter and began to read it.

What’s up girl? I got out of working today. It pays
to have such a cute face that nobody can say no
to you. I’m telling ya, it pays off alot.
So, before Christmas you wanna meet maybe? I’m up for it. Just let me know when and I’ll make some reservations at some nice place and we’ll go have dinner or something. And hey, fill priviledged because I’m not really into this whole dressing up and going to dinner stuff if you know what I mean. That’s not my
style, but for you. I think I just might do it 
So what kind of food do you like? I like just about anything really. If you like a certain type, we can go to that kind of place when we meet maybe.
Oh man, that’s probably my favorite song on the CD though. The whole CD is good and you know you don’t find that alot now a days. Like the companys just put album fillers on there and maybe 3 potential singles, but all of her songs could be singles. Especially that duet. That Bryan guy, well no offense to him, but his voice isn’t all that. But if she had someone
singing it with her like maybe Brian or Nick
from BSB, then you know, it could be a real hit.
I’m sure you’d like that though since you like both Kelsey and BSB. To be honest I’d love it lmao

“Duet with Nick or Brian?” Kelsey whispered to herself as she started to laugh, “Talk about nerve wracking.”
She hit reply and then sat there, looking at the screen, “I’ve never been to a fancy resturaunt on a date. First time for everything.” as she began to type.
Rachel!!!!
“Uhh…” Rachel said as she walked back over to the closet door where Kelsey was and opened it up, “Yes?”
“Gimme my date book.” Kelsey said as Rachel put her left hand no her hip, looking at her, “Gimme.”
“Why?” Rachel asked.
“I’m scheduling in a date.” Kelsey said as Rachel looked at her.
“With who?”
“Nicholas.” Kelsey said as Rachel handed Kelsey her date book, “What’s today?”
“December 2.” Rachel said as she looked away, mumbling something.
Kelsey opened up the datebook and looked at her intenerary for the next few weeks.
December 3-4 - Shoot video for “What If I Do”
December 5 - Rehearal
December 6 - Leave for Las Vegas / Interview @ 2:45 / Rehearse
December 7 - Rehearsal / Interview / Billbaord Awards
December 8 - Call in @ 8 am
December 9 - Leave for New York City / Interview

December 11 - Leave for Nashville / meeting with Capitol

“God damn, who booked all this?” Kelsey asked as she looked back up at Rachel.
“Um well it just looks busy when you look at it on paper.” Rachel said, “Why are you going to have a date with this Nicholas guy?”
“Before Christmas.” Kelsey said, “We’re going to go to a nice resturaunt and have dinner together.”
“Oh boy.” Rachel said as she crossed her arms, “You sure about this because I don’t know if I am.”
“Yes, and look, I have nothing to do the 16th, so maybe then.” Kelsey said as she looked down at the datebook and back at Rachel, “David can go with me. He even said for it to be out in public ya know? It sounds nice.”
“Uh huh.”
“And I’ve never been on a date like that before. When I’ve been on dates they always take me to like a damn football game or something.” Kelsey said.
“That was when you were back home Kel.” Rachel said, “Fine, okay. But David is going with you and staying the whole entire time. He can sit inbetween you two.”
“Okay.” Kelsey said, “So can I tell him that I can on the 16th?”
“Yes.” Rachel said as Kelsey smiled, handing Rachel the date book back, “I swear to god.” she mumbled as she shut the door back. Kelsey sat there in the closet smiling as she started to type back in her e-mail box.
Nick sat there on his bed, browsing around online at some different sites. Funny how someone said he had a new girlfriend and he hasn’t even been out in public with a girl in 6 months.
Damn stalkers.
He kept going and checking his e-mail every 15 minutes to see if Leigh had e-mailed him.
“Ah! Finally.” Nick yelled outloud as he clicked on his inbox and then clicked on the e-mail.
Hey Nicholas,
I can’t talk long, I’ve gotta get to work, but yes - I wanna meet you before Christmas. I have nothing planned on December 16th, the whole day, if you wanna go out to eat that night. I’d love to
As for food? I’m a really picky eater. My favorite foods are pizza or fries, stuff like that. Anything fast to get or make. So just a regular resturaunt will be nice. Let me know if I should dress up or whatever. I expect you to wear a suit. LMAO yeah even if we go to McDonald’s your ass has to wear a suit. I’ll wear a nice dress.
But I’ve got to go now. I hate working. Damn, I need a vacation. Thank god I’m gonna get one soon. I just saw my work schedule to see when we could go out and I’m like so busy here it’s pathetic. I’ll e-mail you back as soon as I can okay?
