“I think I know what I’m gonna do.” Nick said early that night as him and Brian sat in the resturaunt down in the hotel, eating dinner.

“What’s that?” Brian asked.

“I think I’m gonna meet her.”

“Which one?”

“Damn.” Nick said as Brian laughed, “I dunno. Which one should I meet?”

“Well Kelsey already knows who you are.” Brian explained, “Now this Leigh, that’s a whole other ball game.”

“Damn.”

“Yeah.” Brain said as he looked out the window of the resturaunt to see Kelsey, David, and Rachel walk by, “Speak of the devil.”

“What?” Nick asked as he looked up at Brian to see him looking out the window. He turned around to catch them before they walked out of view, “Damn.”

“Well atleast you know she’s back now.” Brian said laughing.

“True.” Nick said, “Like with this Kelsey chick. She’s famous, she knows what it’s like to be famous, granted she’s not as famous as me.”

“Big head Carter?”

“Blah ya know what I mean.” Nick said laughing, “And she already knows it’s me but she thinks I’m a freak.”

“No she doesn’t.”

“Then you have Leigh who is all sweet, doesn’t care who I am if I’m a salesman of music or a singer or whatever. She likes talking to me, but she’s a fan, even though I was acting as if I was one too which I am. I like our music.” Nick said as Brian sat there laughing.

“Meet them both.” Brian said, “You’ve got Kelsey right up there on our floor. Meet her. Then go and meet this Leigh girl somewhere.”

“Maybe I’ll wait til the Billboard Awards.” Nick said as he picked his fork up, playing with the left over food in his plate, “I mean how many days away is it?”

“Five I think.” Brian said, “Bout a week away.”

“Damn. Yeah so I might do that. Then maybe when we come back to LA after that. Meet Leigh. I just have to get the nerve to meet her, unless I meet Kelsey before hand. With us on the same floor and all, it can’t be too hard.”

“So if you run into her, you won’t run?” Brian asked.

“Nah, no.” Nick said as he shook his head, “I’ll try not to.”

“Sure.”

“Shut up Rok.”

“I’m so tired.” Kelsey said as they walked into the suite, laying down on the sofa.

“Oh god, the princess is tired.” David said, “Ladies, I’m going next door.”

“Alright David, see ya in the morning.” Rachel said as he waved and walked out the door.

“Kel, if you’re tired, go ahead and go laydown. It’s only 8:30.” Rachel said, “You had a long night last night and a long day today.”

“I tried on too many clothes.” Kelsey said yawning.

“Well atleast you found what you’re going to wear to the awards and during the performance.” Rachel said, “Now when Joey and Samantha get in tomorrow, they can be fitted for their outfits and there you have it. All ready.”

“Yeah.” Kelsey said as she hugged up to a cushion and closed her eyes.

“So when they get in tomorrow you guys get fitted for your outfits for the video, then they get fitted for their Billboard outfits, you have to go to the studio to record on that one song. Then that should be all tomorrow.” Rachel said as she sat down, looking at her date book, “Then the next day you start filming the video, and you really need to call your mom. I know you haven’t since we came back out here and she called me earlier this morning, I guess I forgot to tell you-”

Rachel looked over at Kelsey on the sofa and she was already passed out.

“Damn.” Rachel said as she got up, walking into Kelsey’s room to grab the comforter off of her bed and walked out, and put it over her, “Girl is so tired. Damn.”

“Thanks for dinner.” Nick said as they stepped out of the elevator about that same time.

“No problem.” Brian said as he walked up to his door, “Don’t drive yourself crazy.”

“I won’t.” Nick said as he smiled, “Night.”

“Goodnight.” Brian said as he walked into his room, shutting the door.

Nick walked past Kelsey’s suite door and paused, looking over at it. He pressed his lips together thinking until he turned around and walked up to it, knocking on it.

“Fuck what did I do.” Nick mumbled to himself as he closed his eyes.

Hold on!

“Damn.” Nick thought as he opened his eyes to see Rachel opened the door.

“Oh, hi.”

“Um hi. You’re Rachel right?” Nick asked as Rachel nodded her head yes.

“That’s me. You’re Nick.” Rachel said as Nick started to laugh a little.

“Yeah, um, is Kelsey here?” Nick asked as Rachel turned her head around looking at the sofa.

“She’s over there passed out on the sofa.” Rachel said as she looked back at Nick, “Want me to wake her up?”

“Oh no. Don’t do that.” Nick said as he stopped her, “I just wanted to say hi. I mean I can do that any other time.”

“Yes you can. We’ll be here until we go to the Billboard Awards.” Rachel said.

“Um yeah. Okay well I’m gonna go now. Don’t mention this to her.” Nick said.

“Why not?” Rachel asked.

“I don’t want to look stupid, I mean, not that I already don’t.” Nick said as Rachel laughed a little and he rubbed the back of his neck, “Nevermind. Just don’t mention that I came by alright. I already look like a moron.”

“No you don’t.” Rachel said as she laughed, “But I won’t tell her if you don’t want me to.”

“Please don’t. I know she’s busy right now.”

“Keep up with her schedule?”

“I’ve been to her official site a few times. I know she’s filming her new video any day now.” Nick said as Rachel laughed again.

“Yeah she will.” Rachel said, “Wanna be in it?”

“Huh?”

“Wanna be in the video?” Rachel asked as Nick looked at her, confused.

“That’s okay. I don’t need to see myself on CMT.” Nick said as Rachel laughed, “Um thanks for the offer. So you won’t tell her?”

“Nah, get out of here before she wakes up, but I can tell you something.” Rachel said as Nick looked at her.

“What?”

“She’s nervous to meet you too.” Rachel said as Nick looked at her.

“Really?”

“Yeah.”

“Didn’t know.”

“Yeah, so I won’t tell her.”

“Okay thanks.” Nick said as he backed away a little, “I’ll see ya later.”

“Bye.” Rachel said as she shut the door and turned around, “Well well well that was mighty interesting.” as she walked back over, sitting down in the chair and picking up her datebook.

“Got Nick Carter coming to the door acting nervous about Miss Kelsey.” she thought as she looked in her date book, “Well well well… ain’t that funny.”

“Damn.” Nick mumbled as he walked into his room, shutting the door and locking it, “Damn she was asleep, just when I had the guts to do it too and then her manager chick asked me to be in the video. What the hell? Damn I can’t be on CMT. My brother would laugh his ass off. Not to mention McLean. Damn.”

Nick walked over laying down across the bed, looking up at the ceiling, “Damn I hope she don’t tell her I came by. I don’t want to look like a freak even more.”

“Hmmmm..” Kelsey mumbled the next morning as she opened her eyes and looked around, realizing that she was on the sofa.

“Oh sleeping beauty is awake.” Rachel said smiling as she walked over sitting down and drinking her coffee, “Up and at ‘em princess.”

“I slept here all night?” Kelsey asked as Rachel looked over at her and laughed, “What’s so funny?”

“Nothing.” Rachel whispered as she took a sip of her coffee, “Yes you slept there all night. Joey and Samantha’s flight will be here soon.”

“Oh joy.” Kelsey said as she leaned up, putting her hands over her face and yawning, “Damn I went to bed too early last night.”

“Nah, it was actually nice to have a moments of silence around here.”

“I bet.”

“Although as soon as they get here, we’ve got to get going.”

“I know.” Kelsey said as she layed her head back down, “I had the weirdest dream last night.”

“‘Bout what?” Rachel asked as Kelsey looked up at her.

“I dreamed that Nick Carter and I went to prom in high school.” Kelsey said as Rachel started to laugh, “Which is totally weird because I never really went to prom.”

“Maybe it’s a fantasy.”

“Whack ass one.”

“To say the least.” Rachel said laughing as Kelsey looked over at the TV.

“Why is he shy towards me?” Kelsey mumbled as Rachel smiled.

“I don’t know the answer to that.” Rachel said, “If you wanna meet him, go to his room. You know where it is.”

“And you say that with such confidence.”

“Well if you want something bad enough - you go for it. Isn’t that how you earned your deal and the success you’ve gotten so far?” Rachel asked as Kelsey looked back over at her.

“Yeah, but I never said I wanted Nick. Just wanna know why he’s shy towards me.” Kelsey said as Rachel smiled.

“Dunno.” Rachel mumbled as Kelsey sat up on the sofa, tucking her hair behind her ears.

“Well I’m gonna go see if Nicholas e-mailed me back.” Kelsey said as she smiled a little, standing up and fumbling her way to her room where she shut the door.

“I swear to god..” Rachel said as she sat there laughing, “That’d be whack if Nicholas was Nick. Blah - like Nick’s gonna answer a personal ad. Yeah right Rachel.”

“I have one new message in my inbox.” Kelsey said as she smiled, clicking on it to see that it was from Nicholas. She clicked on the message and began to read it.

“He likes my CD.” Kelsey thought as she smiled and then looked around, “And wants to meet me. Damn - that’s gonna be a shocker.”

Kelsey hit reply on the e-mail as she smiled and began to type her reply.

“I’m one sad pathetic dude.” Nick mumbled as he took his earphones off and looked at the clock, “Fuck I have to work today.”

“Morning Cuz, morning D.” Brian said as he walked into Howie’s room where he was having breakfast with Kevin and Howie, “Where’s J?”

“Asleep I assume.” Howie said laughing, “I heard him talkin’ to the woman on the phone last night. I don’t think they were getting along very well.”

“That’s not a good sign.” Brian said, “How ’bout Nick?”

“Probably off talkin’ to his little girlfriend.” Kevin said laughing while shaking his head.

“Oh come on Kev, what’s wrong with it? I think it’s doing him a little good. He’s exploring his options.”

“His non-Sabrina options?” Howie asked.

“Bitch.” Brian muttered.

“Ouch, hostility oh holy one?” Kevin asked as Brian gave him a evil eye, “Can’t say that I don’t blame ya. She did burn him pretty badly. That slut.”

“Exactly.” Brian said, “And he’s moving on. He’s got this Leigh girl that he met through the personal ad and talks to online now, and he’s got Kelsey.”

“Oh they met?” Howie asked smiling.

“No not yet.” Brian said, “But he said he wouldn’t run from her if he saw her again.”

“Good. I’m glad.” Kevin said laughing.

“What’s so funny Kev?” Howie asked as he looked over at him, “You know something we don’t?”
