“Damn.” Nick thought as he lifted his head up the next morning, looking around. He looked over at the clock to see that it was going on 10 in the morning. He layed his head back down, looking over to his right at the door and then turned it to look at the ceiling

“I’m a fool.” Nick mumbled as he shook his head, “I can’t go outside my room today. It’s not safe out there.”

“Kelsey Leigh Baker!” Rachel yelled as she stood inside Kelsey’s room, looking at her on her bed, passed out in nothing but her bra and panties, “Naked girl, get up and get moving.”

“Uh headache.” Kelsey said as she put her hands over her face.

“Uh hangover.” Rachel said as she threw Kesley a robe, “What the hell are you doing in your underwear? Have a private strip tease in here last night?”

“I dunno.” Kelsey said as she sat up in the bed, putting the robe on, “Oh what do I have to do today?”

“Go by the studio, meet with the people from the video about the two songs. Then we’ve gotta go meet with the director again to see what new concept he came up with.” Rachel said.

“What time do we leave?” Kelsey asked as she stretched and yawned, looking around.

“At 12. It’s like 10 now so you’ve got a little time.” Rachel said, “I figured you would want to stalk the hallway here before we left.” as Kelsey looked over at her.

“Very funny.” Kelsey said, “Damn I can’t believe I told you that last night.”

“Why?” Rachel asked as she laughed, “It’s all good. I’ve got Carter love, just I guess not as strong as um some people.” as she walked out of the room. Kelsey laughed, smiling a little as she reached down for her backpack beside her bed, and pulled her laptop out, opening it up and turning it on.

Kelsey rubbed her eyes as Windows loaded and she reached up, logging online. She waited for the connection and then opened up her e-mail, logging in.

“Damn wonder if-” she thought as she saw that she had one new message. She smiled, clicking on her inbox to see that it was from him.

Hey Leigh,

- Nicholas.

“Nicholas.” Kelsey whispered as she smiled, “I like that name. Damn what is it with all these Nick’s lately. I’m e-mialing someone named Nicholas with a ‘h’. I got Nickolas with a ‘k’ peeking out of his room at me. Good god.”

She smiled, hitting the reply button so she could e-mail him back.

“Coming.” Kevin said as he walked up to his door, opening it to see AJ standing outside, “Sup man?”

“Notta. We need to talk man.” AJ said as Kevin walked back over to his table, eating breakfast as AJ shut the door.

“Oh, what’s wrong?” Kevin asked, “Toast?”

“Nah man.” AJ said as he stood there looking around, “I don’t know how to say this.”

“Just say it.”

“I think Carter’s lost his fucking mind.” AJ said bluntly as Kevin cracked up laughing, almost chocking on his coffee, “You alright man?”

“Yeah, I’m fine.” Kevin said laughing, “You’re right. What did he do now?”

“So.” AJ said as he used his hands explaining what happened, “I stepped outside my room last night because I thought I heard someone knock on my door. I look down and Nick’s down the hall, staring at this door to a suite.”

“Oh god.”

“Yeah so I’m like ‘Yo Carter, what’s up?’ and he tells me that it’s that country chick’s suite and that you made a fool out of him.” AJ said as he laughed, “Major props man.”

“He’s the one that made a fool out of himself.” Kevin said, “I don’t know what’s up with the boy.”

“He needs some ass.” AJ said as Kevin shook his head at him, “Seriously. It’s been too long. He’s let all that horneyness go to his brain. The one on his shoulders ya know?”

“I’m eating here J.”

“Damn, the boy is whack man.” AJ said as he sat down, taking a peice of bacon from Kevin’s plate.

“He’s got a crush.”

“We should do something ’bout it.” AJ said as Kevin looked over at him.

“No.”

“Oh come on man, it’ll be fun. Then there’s this Leigh chick. And here three days ago, Nick had no woman at all. Now he’s got two.” AJ said laughing as Kevin looked at him.

“Leigh?”

“The personal ad chick.” AJ said, “She told him her name.”

“Did Nick tell her his?”

“Don’t know man.”

“Damn Nick’s got a crush and then likes some girl he’s never met. What’s become of him?” Kevin asked as AJ laughed.

“Dude the boy was never there to begin with ya know.” AJ said laughing.

“So what did Nick ever say this girl did for a living?” Kevin asked as AJ looked around.

“Um worked with her friend who is a manager I think he told me.” AJ said as he stood up, “Why?”

“Just wondering.” Kevin said as he looked down at his coffee cup, looking as if he was thinking.

“Alright, well I’m out man. I’ll see ya later.” AJ said as he walked over to the door.

“Later.” Kevin said as AJ walked out, shutting the door and Kevin looked around.

“Didn’t that website say Kelsey’s middle name was Leigh?” Kevin asked as he started to laugh, “Nah.”

“Oh it’s a beautiful day.” Kelsey said a little bit later as she walked out of her room, dressed up with her hair fixed.

“Oh god what happened?” Rachel asked as Kelsey smiled, bouncing down on the sofa, “What?”

“I know Burger King’s name.” Kelsey said smiling as she giggled a little, looking at the TV while tucking her hair behind her ears.

“Can I take a wild guess?” Rachel asked.

“Sure.”

“Nick?”

“Dude.”

“What?”

“You’re scary.”

“Huh?”

“His name is Nicholas. N-i-c-h-o-l-a-s.” Kelsey said as Rachel laughed.

“Damn I’m good.”

“Damn. Yeah so his name is Nicholas.” Kelsey said laughing as Rachel handed her a glass of chocholate milk, “Thank ya.”

“I’m not sure you need your morning dose of chocholate today.” Rachel said laughing, “What’s with you and Nick’s lately. Ya got Carter down there-”

“Dude I know.” Kelsey said, “Man the boy freaked me out yesterday. I mean, anybody else peeking I would have laughed and all ya know, but I peek around the corner and it’s him peeking out at me. Talk about confusing.”

“I have to admit I’d be the same way. I guess he is a fan like Howie said.” Rachel said, “And I called your lawyer.”

“What did I do?” Kelsey asked as she looked at Rachel concerned.

“Not you dumbass. For me. I’m gonna file for divorce.” Rachel said, “Remember I told you yesteday.”

“Yeah you did.” Kelsey said, “Damn.”

“Yep, Jay might be shocked. When we go back to Nashville, you mind if I move in with you?” Rachel asked as she sat down, drinking her coffee.

“Nah, Princess and I would love to have company.” Kelsey said doing a cheesy grin.

“Damn cat.”

“Leave my baby alone.”

“Uh huh. You might be swept up with yo man then for all we know.”

“Which one?” Kelsey asked as Rachel busted out laughing, pointing at her.

“Good one.”

“Thank ya.”

“Nick walked out of the bathroom, drying his hair with a towel and zipping up his jeans. He threw the towel down on the floor and reached over for his laptop, which was already turned on and logged online. He looked up at the TV while he waited for the connection , then opened up his e-mail logging in to see one new message.

“Oh damn, I’m scared.” Nick thought as he laughed and then clicked on the message, as he began to read it.

Dear Nicky-

P.S. - So when are we gonna chat again?

“Love, Leigh?” Nick asked as he smiled and then started to laugh, “She said love? Damn.”

Nick looked around and started to bite on his fingernails as he looked back down, and hit reply, replying ot her message.

“Damn, we have to go into the studio tomorrow. Damn I wanna chat with her again.” he thought as he continued to type.

“I wanna watch The Wedding Planner.” Kelsey said as she sat there on the sofa, “We got time?”

“Nope.” Rachel said as Kelsey rolled her eyes.

“Well I’m gonna go check my mail real quick before we go.” Kelsey said as she got up and walked into her room shutting the door.

“Damn girl.” Rachel said as David laughed and someone knocked on the door.

“I’ll get it.” David said as he got up from the chair he was sitting in, walked over to the door slowly and looked out the peep hole, “Uh Rach, it’s that dude from Backstreet.”

“Huh?” Rachel asked as she looked into the mirror, fixing her hair as she walked over and David opened the door to see Kevin standing there, “Hi.”

“Uh, hi.” Kevin said, “This is Kelsey’s suite right? You’re her manager?”

“Yeah, I’m Rachel.” Rachel said as they shook hands.

“Kevin.”

“I know, come on in.” Rachel said as she moved out of the way and Kevin stepped into the room while Rachel shut the door, “So what’s up?”

“Oh I was just coming over to apologize for yesterday.” Kevin said, “The whole knocking on the door thing. I’m really sorry.”

“Oh you mean that was you? We thought it was Nick.” Rachel said laughing.

“Well, I made him do it.” Kevin said laughing, “So I was going to come apologize to you and Kelsey. Where is she?”

“In there online seeing if her little e-mail boyfriend e-mailed her back.” Rachel said as Kevin looked over at the door and back at Rachel, “That kid is always online, do you know anybody like that?”

“As a matter of fact, I do.” Kevin said laughing, “It’s addictive.”

“Kelsey Leigh, you have company!” Rachel said as she laughed.

“I do it too.” Rachel said, “It does get addicting.”

“It does.” Kevin said laughing, “Kelsey Leigh?”

“Yeah Leigh’s her middle name.” Rachel said as Kelsey opened up her door.

“What I’m e-mailing Ni- oh hi.” Kelsey said as she looked over at Rachel, “I didn’t know you were here.”

“Emailing who?” Kevin asked laughing.

“Oh a friend of mine.” Kelsey said as she walked out of her room, putting her hands in her back pockets, “So what’s up?”

“Kevin came over to apologize for yesterday.” Rachel said looking at her.

“Yesterday?”

“Yeah, the knock and run. Damn that was immature but it’s Carter’s fault.” Kevin said laughing, “He’s a fan so I found out your room number for him so he could meet you and we come here. He wouldn’t knock so I did. Then he ran down to his room and that’s why you saw him peeking out at you. The boy has problems.”

“Oh, that’s why that happened?” Kelsey asked as she smiled, “Why was he nervous? I don’t bite.”

“Not hard anyway.” David mumbled as Kevin and Rachel laughed.

“Very funny David.” Kelsey said, as she rolled her eyes, “Well it’s okay. I’m not mad. Just when someone knocked and we didn’t see anybody, I wasn’t expecting to step into the hallway to see him peeking at me.”

“He’s a moron.” Kevin said laughing, “But that’s Nick. He’s shy sometimes.”

“Wouldn’t know it on stage.” Rachel said laughing, “You seen that boy sing Shinging Star? I mean -” as she looked over at Kelsey, “So yeah, he’s shy in person.”

“Yeah.” Kevin said laughing, “So I just wanted to come by and apologize for that.”

“Well that’s really nice of you but we’re not upset over it.” Rachel said.

“No, we’re not.” Kelsey said, agreeing with her.

“Alright well ladies.” Kevin said as he looked over at David, “And gentlemen.”

“Thank you.” David said laughing.

“We’ll see you later then.” Kevin said, “Nice seeing you again.”

“You too.” Kelsey said as Rachel walked over, shutting the door behind Kevin, locking it back.

“Well that was extremely nice of him.” Rachel said smiling, “Awww poor Nicky was nervous to meet you. Why the fuck do I find that funny?”

“Dude, it’s whack. Lemme go e-mail my dude back.” Kelsey said as she ran back into her room, flopping down on her bed and started reading her e-mail again.

“Umm..” Kevin thought as he stood out in the hallway, “Kelsey’s middle name is Leigh. She’s in LA alot. She works with her friend who is a manager. And she’s got a e-mail boyfriend and she started to call him Ni…”

“Yeah I must go see Carter.”
