Nick stood there looking at Kelsey for a second before he stuck his head back in the door, shutting it. He stood there looking around, opening the door back out to see her looking confused and then shut it again.

“Nick, have you lost your damn mind?” Kevin asked as Nick looked back at him.

“I’m not going out that door. She’s standing out there looking down here.” Nick said.

“Oh Nick’s got a crush.” Kevin sung as he laughed, “Nick and Kelsey sittin’ in a tree.. k-i-s-s-i-n-g”

“Dude, shut up.” Nick said as he hit him in the arm, “I’m not going out there.”

“Kelsey? You alright?” Rachel asked as Kelsey kept looking down at Nick’s door, “Kelsey, you look like you’ve seen a ghost. What’s wrong?”

“Um, Nick Carter was peeking out his door at me.” Kelsey said as she pointed down at the door, “Um, yeah. I need a drink.” as Rachel moved out of the way and Kelsey walked back into the suite.

“Do what?” Rachel asked as she shut the door, “Nick’s room is two down from ours?”

“Uh I guess so.” Kelsey said as she opened the mini-bar up, “I need a drink.”

“Good god woman. What’s wrong with you?” Rachel asked as she walked over to Kelsey, “Are you okay?”

“Yeah I’m fine.” Kelsey said as she opened up a bottle of wine, taking a sip.

“Oh god she’s started drinking. I better keep her away from the laptop tonight.” Rachel said as Kelsey walked over and sat down on the sofa, “Why the hell did you meet Brian and you’re all okay but you see Nick peeking out of his room at you and you need a drink?”

“Oh god.” Kelsey said as she leaned her head back on the sofa.

“You like him don’t you?” Rachel asked laughing.

“God he’s so damn cute and sexy and just blah.”

“And just blah?” Rachel asked as she walked around the sofa, standing infront of it, “So this whole Brian act is just an act?”

“No, I like Brian too.” Kelsey said as she sighed, taking another sip from the wine bottle, “But damn at Nick.”

“Oh my good god.” Rachel said as she sat down beside her, “Are you gonna be okay? So this is why you were in shock this morning when Howie said he was a fan?”

“Yes.” Kelsey said, “I keep the crush all locked up inside you know and then I see him unexpectedly like that and just it shocks the hell out of me. I mean he was peeking out at me. Me! Kelsey, ya know.. me. I should be the one peeking at him but he’s peeking at me.”

“You do remember that you’re famous too.” Rachel said as Kelsey looked over at her while taking a sip of wine, “Maybe he’s got a crush on you too. Why did I think of that damn Mandy Moore song. Damn you Kelsey for making me like this shit.”

“Good god.” Kelsey said as she leaned her head back on the sofa.

“I’m going to kill you.” Nick said as he sat down on his bed.

“Nick, relax man.” Kevin said as he opened up the door and looked outside, “She’s gone.”

“Damn.” Nick said as he shook his head, “Dude she looked at me so confused like wondering what the hell I was doing like I was some freak or something.” as he looked up at Nick, “You embarrassed me man!”

“Nick - I didn’t embarrass you.” Kevin said laughing, “Now come on and listen to this song.”

“Fine.” Nick said as he stood up, “But I’m coming right back here now because I need to check my e-mail before I give up on girls all together.”

“You’re going to become gay now?” Kevin asked as Nick rolled his eyes at him.

“Come on and let’s hear this damn song.” Nick said as Kevin laughed and Nick pushed him out of the door.

Kelsey layed there on the sofa watching MTV later that night, drinking her 2nd bottle of wine while singing Enrique Iglesias’s Hero at the top of her lungs.

“Kelsey… don’t scream like that trying to sing. You’re not no rock singer now.” Rachel said as Kelsey stood up, almost falling over, “God damn you are drunk.”

“Kelsey! Damn.” Rachel said as she stood up taking the bottle of wine from her, “You’re not Courtney Love. Go to bed.”

“Oh blah.” Kelsey said as she stumbled her way over to her room, shutting the door. Rachel sat there laughing as she took a sip of the wine and sat back down.

“Who knew Nick Carter would have this effect on her.” Rachel said laughing as she shook her head, “Kids.”

“Damn asshole kept me down there listening to songs too damn long.” Nick mumbled as he walked by Kelsey’s room. He paused, looking at it and then started walking down to his room. He unlocked his door walking in, throwing some papers Kevin had given him down on a table and walked over to his bed to see his laptop sitting up there.

“Wonder if she e-mailed me back? Probably not.” Nick thought as he opened it up. He sat there thinking about Kelsey looking confused as he logged online until he shook his head and went to his e-mail logging in.

“Oh two new e-mails.” Nick said outloud as he clicked his inbox to see one was from Princess Grace and the other was from AJ, “Asshole.” Nick went straight to the e-mail from Princess Grace and opened it up, reading it.

“Leigh?” Nick said outloud as he looked around, “Damn. How the hell can I tell her my name?” as he looked around, putting his hands over his face as he leaned down and began to type.

He sat there typing, moving his tongue out of his mouth as if he was concentrating and then he’d bust out laughing at himself. Shaking his head, he went back to typing as fast as he could until he stopped, re-reading what he wrote.

“Damn. I can’t send this.” Nick thought as he moved his mouse up to the send button, clicking on it.

“There goes nothing.” He said outloud to himself as he closed his e-mail looking around. He sat there looking over at the door, getting up and walking over to it.

Nick looked outside of the peep hole, trying to look down towards Kelsey’s room. He didn’t know what the hell he was doing, but he was gonna do it away. He unlocked the door, stepping outside and started walking slowly down to her door. He just hoped to God she didn’t open the door and scare the living fuck out of him.

He leaned up against the wall across from her door, thinking about the look on her face when he opened the door and they looked at each other. How she looked so confused and -

“Carter.”

“What?” Nick said as he looked over at AJ, who was standing in his hotel room door.

“What are you doing man?” AJ asked as he walked down to him.

“Her room is there.” Nick said as he looked over at AJ.

“Who?” AJ asked as he looked over his sunglasses at Nick.

“Why the fuck are you wearing sunglasses at night in a hotel?” Nick asked as AJ hit him in the arm, “Kelsey is. The country girl ya know.”

“Oh, let’s go knock.” AJ said as he started to walk over to the door and Nick grabbed him.

“Hell no. Kev already did it and we did a damn knock and run.” Nick said as AJ started laughing.

“A knock and run?”

“Hell yes, and I peeked out the door, she saw me and dude she must have thought I was some kind of freak or something I mean damn.” Nick said as he leaned his head against the wall.

“Dude, you must like her.” AJ said laughing.

“Yeah okay I do, she’s cute. She’s a good singer. She seems nice and harmless, but then their’s Leigh.”

“Leigh? Dude you got a thing for Leighanne? What the hell?” AJ asked as Nick looked over at him.

“Not that Leigh, I mean Leigh - the chick from the personal ad. I found out her name tonight.” Nick said, “And I really like her. Like I think something could happen there you know, but like this country chick, dude it’s just a little crush I think. I’ll get over it. She probably thinks I’m some kind of freak.”

“Well Nick, I hate to break it to you, but dude you are.” AJ said as he patted him on the back, “Welcome to the Freaks R Us club. It’s nice to have a new member.”

“Fuck you.”

“That’s what you need but not from me.” AJ said laughing as he walked back down to his room.

Nick stood there, looking over at Kelsey’s door when the door inbetween his and Kelsey’s opened and David walked out. Nick looked over at him and then looked down, trying to act as if he wasn’t looking over at Kelsey’s door.

“What’s up?”

“Nothin’. Just waitin’ for my friend.”

“You’re Nick right?” David asked as Nick looked around.

“You know who I am?” Nick asked.

“Yeah, well my boss is a big fan.” David said laughing.

“Your boss?” Nick asked as he looked back at the door and then at David again.

“Kelsey Baker. She’s a country singer, I’m her personal guard. She’s staying in the suite right there with her manager.” David said, “They’re both really big fans.”

“Oh yeah, you came to the show.” Nick said as David nodded his head.

“Yeah, we did.” David said laughing, “Well I need to go over and go over tomorrow with Rachel..”

“Rachel?” Nick asked.

“Yeah, Kesley’s manager. Well she’s more like her babysitter really. It’s funny shit, they start fussing and I just sit there and laugh. The whole job is hillarious.” David said as Nick laughed a little.

“Sounds entertaining.” Nick said laughing, “Well I’ll let you go do your job. I’m gonna go figure out why my friend hasn’t came out of his room.”

“Alright, later man.”

“Bye.” Nick said as he started to walk down to his room as David knocked on Kelsey’s door. Nick walked into his room, shutting th door and leaning up against it, banging his head on it.

“Oh hey Dave.” Rachel said as she shut the door, “Man Kel is fucking drunk.”

“I come out of my room and guess who’s standing across the hall, looking at the door.” David said as he walked in, sitting down on the sofa.

“Oh god, who?” Rachel asked as she walked over, sitting down in a chair, getting her papers so they could go over what they had to do tomorrow.

“Nick, the blonde dude from Backstreet Boys. He said he was waiting for his friend.” David said, “Nice dude though.”

“No way.” Rachel said, “Oh good god. Kelsey and I were in her room talking earlier..”

“Yeah?”

“And there was a knock at the door so we go see and nobody is out there.”

“And-”

“So Kelsey goes out in the hallway and looks around and notices someone keeps peeking out of a door, two doors down.” Rachel said as David laughed.

“That’s the door that Nick went in.”

“Yeah, so she walks down a little and they peek out and it’s Nick and he looks at her and shuts the door back really fast, then does it again.” Rachel said as David cracked up laughing, “Oh man the girl was in shock and came in, drunk almost 2 bottles of wine, confessing her crush on him.”

“She met that one she likes the other day and it didn’t phase her.” David said, “What the hell?”

“No idea.” Rachel said, “Well that’s all interesting. Let’s not tell Kelsey that Carter was staring at her door.”

“Best not to or we’ll have a drunk girl on our hands until we leave LA.” David said as Rachel agreed with him laughing.
