Chapter 4
Chapter Four - Walking Sex
“You know,” Nick said as Caraline looked over at him, “I wasn’t looking at your ass.” Caraline just smiled, tucking her hair behind her ears again and crossed her arms, walking forward, “Really I wasn’t, yo.”
“Sure,” Caraline said as she stopped in a empty hallway, and looked at him, “I don’t like my ass,”
“Looks nice to me,” Nick said as Caraline smiled and he rolled his eyes, “Damn, you’re good,”
“Good at other things too,” Caraline said as she moved back a little, leaning up against a wall, “I mean, I’m gifted as you know.” Nick smiled in return, licking his lips and looked back at her as she licked her lips. He started to move forward a little, moving closer to her as she moved off of the wall and started to walk down the hallway. Nick smirked, looking down the hallway at her and smiled, “Come on Nick,”
“I’m coming,” Nick said as he walked down the hallway, catching up with her, “So, what is it that sweet, Southern girls like in boys?” he asked as Caraline looked over at her, “Well if you take Faith as example, I guess she likes a good strong man, who’s a singer and can entertain people,”
“Yeah I’m gonna have to start looking and find me one of those. You know, a good strong man,” Caraline said as she smirked at him and looked down at her watch. Nick looked over at her, and then down the hall to see that they were coming up to the pool, that was inside of the hotel. It was dark in the pool room, with lights in the pool and Caraline looked at him and smiled, looking back at the water, “Beautiful isn’t it?”
“You like swimming?” Nick asked as he crossed his arms, staring at her. She nodded her head in return and looked at him, “You like the beach or the ocean?”
“I love going to the beach,” Caraline said as she smiled, “We were just in Key West last week. My sister and her family came down and Tim and Faith and the kids were there,” she said as she raised her shoulders a little and sighed, “I love swimming. I love feeling the water all around my body,”
“Hold up,” Nick said as he started to laugh. Caraline just looked over at him as if he was crazy, “You were in Key West last week? I was in Key West last week, and I was at home. I live near there,”
“Really?” Caraline asked as she smiled, looking back at the water and started walk down closer to the pool, looking over her shoulder at Nick, “What a coincidence,”
“To say the least,” Nick said as he stood up, putting his hands in his pockets watching her, “Too bad we didn’t run into each other then,”
“Too bad,” Caraline said as she took her jacket off, putting it on the back of a chair, leaving her in the red tank top and jeans. She sat the purse in the chair where her jacket was and looked back at Nick, smiling, “Feel like swimming?”
“Uh, now?” Nick asked as he looked around and then back at her, “I mean, we don’t have our swimsuits with us and -”
“Are you chicken?” Caraline asked as she looked down at her belt and then back up at Nick. He stood there in shock, licking his lips and then looked around the pool again, before looking back at her, “Are you scared, really Nick. What’s there to be scared about? I’m sure you’ve gone skinny dipping before,”
“Uh, well -” Nick said as he moved his hand up, rubbing the back of his neck. Yeah he had gone skinny dipping before, but not usually in a hotel. Definitely not with someone he had just met and hardly knew. He wasn’t a whore about everything, ” - never at a hotel.”
“Me either,” Caraline said, smiling at him, “Want to?”
“Um, that’s okay,” Nick said as he started to laugh a little, walking down the steps, closer to where she is, “I don’t feel like being all naked in front of you just yet, I’m a little shy,”
“Right,” Caraline said as she walked over closer to him, looking him in the eyes, “I don’t believe you’re shy. I think it’s just an act and I don’t believe it. You can swim in your boxers if you want to,”
“I don’t have any on,” Nick said as he smiled, wiggling his eyebrows. Caraline cracked up laughing at him, “What? At least I’m honest, I don’t have any on,”
“Well I don’t have a bra on,” Caraline said as Nick cut his eyes down and she moved her hand under his chin, lifting his head up, “Stop looking. You’re like a walking sex bomb, ready to blow up at anytime huh?”
“Then we make a good team because I think you’re walking sex,” Nick said as Caraline laughed, walking over and sitting down in a chair, crossing her legs, “Admit it, you know you look good,”
“I don’t think I do,” Caraline said as she looked down at her watch again, “I’m just a normal girl. I’m not trying to be someone that I’m not. That’s why I’m so comfortable with myself and my sexuality,”
“Your sexuality?” Nick asked, as Caraline smiled at him. He smiled back, walking over to sit down in a chair next to her, “How did that come into the conversation?”
“Well I called you a walking sex bomb and you called me walking sex,” Caraline said as Nick smiled at her as he leaned his head back.
“That’s why we would make a good team,”
“Well, I’m not into one night stands,”
“Who said anything about a one night stand?” Nick said as Caraline cut her eyes over to him. He leaned over, propping his elbow up on the side of the chair, leaning over closer to her and started to whisper, “Who said that we can’t keep these little dates up sometimes and turn it into something more?”
“Something more?” Caraline asked, looking down at her watch again.
“Are you worried about being late for another date?” Nick asked as Caraline started to laugh, “What?”
“I don’t know, I just always do that. I guess when something is going on, I like to look at the time to make sure I remember the moment,” Caraline whispered as she looked down at her watch again, “And it’s 9:35 at night, right now,”
“Great, so I’ll remember the moment I ask you this,”
“Ask me what?”
“The question that you totally ignored a minute ago,” Nick said as Caraline smiled, pushing her tongue against the side of her mouth, looking out at the water in the pool again, “Who said anything about this being a one night stand? Why can’t we see each other again? It’s not like we will never see each other again. We’ve ran into each other 3 times now,”
“Who said I wanted something more than a one night stand?” Caraline whispered, looking at him and smiled. Nick was about to say something when she started to speak again, “But who said I wanted a one night stand? I just came to have dinner,”
“But we didn’t eat. We talked the whole time,” Nick said as he smiled, “Admit it, you like me,”
“You’re nice, but you’re flirty and you’re trying to get me into bed,” Caraline said as Nick started to laugh, “Trust me. I’m around musicians and road crews all of the time. I’ve learned how guys hit on girls when they want a piece of the action,”
“What if I want more than just a piece of the action?”
“Then I would ask what kind of drugs you’re on, so what kind of drugs are you on?’
“I’m not on any drugs, well I’m taking some cold medicine now to help with my sinuses because the change in climates -” Nick said as he stopped talking, seeing Caraline smile at him, “Maybe I like you enough to know that there could be something here,”
“How?” Caraline asked as she reached over for her jacket, slipping it back on, and leaned back in the chair again, tucking her hair behind her ears.
“Just tell me that you like me. Even if it’s a little like,” Nick said as Caraline smiled, looking away, and pressed her lips together before she licked them, “Or try to tell me you don’t like me,”
“I like you,” Caraline whispered, as she looked down at her watch again, then looked up to see Nick smiling, “You seem nice and you’re funny. You’re a musician and I respect that because I could never be one. I couldn’t handle the pressure, but I don’t know you well enough yet to say that I want to have something more with you.”
“I like you too,” Nick said as Caraline smiled at him, “I liked you before I knew who you were when I met you that first time in Los Angeles,”
“You were really goofy acting then,” Caraline said as Nick rolled his eyes at her, “No but you were cute, especially when you ran into the door,”
“I’m trying to be serious here,” Nick said as Caraline laughed again and then stopped, looking at him and smiled, “Really, would you like to go out again sometime and this time, really go out?” He looked at her as she looked away, looking out at the water in the pool again. He took a deep breath, pressing his lips together as she cut her eyes back, looking at him and smiled.
“That would cool,” Caraline said softly as she smiled, “But don’t take me to a McDonald’s,” she said as Nick started to laugh, nodding his head yes, “If we’re ever in the same place again, sure, I’d love to do this again,”
“Oh I’m sure we’ll be in the same place again,” Nick said, as he smiled, leaning back in the chair, with a cheesy smile on his face.

“Faith,” Tim said as he sat there in a chair, reading a magazine as Faith stood there, looking out of the window in the hotel with a pair of binoculars, “What are you doing?”
“I’m looking to see what I see,” Faith said as she picked up the phone, dialing a number, “I’m calling April,”
“Oh god, here we go,” Tim said as he cracked up laughing and Faith started talking on the other line, time she heard someone answer.
“April, it’s me. It’s after ten o’clock and she hasn’t came back yet. I keep looking out the window thinking maybe I would see them down in the window of the lobby but I haven’t yet. She’s been gone for three hours,” Faith said as Tim shook his head at them.
“Maybe she’s having a good time,” April, Caraline’s sister, said as Faith smiled hugely, looking at her reflection in the glass, “This guy is safe right? He’s okay?”
“Yeah, he seems like a really nice guy. I’ve met him a few times,” Faith said as she continued to look out the window, “I’ll call you back as soon as I know something,” she said as she told April goodbye, and put the phone back down.
“Baby, let the girl live her life. You two still act as if she’s fifteen. She’s twenty-three. You were twenty when you got married the first time,” Tim said as Faith looked back at him, “She’s not dumb, she knows not to do anything stupid,”

“I still wanted to go swimming,” Caraline said a little bit later as her and Nick stood there in the elevator, going up to the floor that her room was on, “Someone’s just too chicken,”
“Chicken my ass, I’m not going in there with nothing on. Not for someone to take pictures of me and get in the tabloids,” Nick said as Caraline laughed as the elevator door opened and they walked out of it. Caraline walked in front of him by a few feet, walking down the hallway slowly as Nick watched her and she looked back at him, catching him checking her out, “What?”
“Why do you keep looking at my ass?” Caraline asked as she looked at it, “Do I have something on it?”
“Not yet,” Nick said as he wiggled his eyebrows at her. She just smiled in return, “I had a really nice time tonight,”
“Me too,” Caraline said as she smiled, walking up to her door and turned around, “This is my room,” Nick stood there smiling and she smiled back even more before moving up a little closer. Nick stopped smiling and closed his eyes, leaning in slowly to kiss her until she moved her lips over, giving him a quick kiss on the lips, “Thanks for tonight,”
“Uh yeah,” Nick said as he licked his lips and Caraline smiled more, turning around and taking the hotel key out of her purse, “I guess I’ll see you later,”
“Yeah,” Caraline said as she gave him a little wave, pushing her door open., “Bye Nick,”
“Bye,” Nick said as Caraline walked into her room, and shut the door back. She stood there a minute, leaning her head against the door, smiling uncontrollably. She turned around, kicking her shoes off and jumped up on the bed, jumping up and down as she screamed.

AHHHHHH!!
Nick jumped a little as he walked down the hallway. He looked back realizing it came from Caraline’s room and smiled when he heard her giggling. He bit down on his bottom lip, walking towards the elevator again, knowing that something was going to happen now.
