The last update was a little quick and I wanted to say and do more.

I, like I said last night, have been busy with work. The concert season is starting up again soon. A bunch of my friends are getting ready to graduate and NASCAR has started back

The bastard is 30 now, which means, dammit, that I’m turning 30 in a few months. I don’t like it, not at all. I think I will stay 25 again. It’s a good number. Not too young, not too old.

Damn, that’s a Carter song, isn’t it?

Regardless, things have been hectic for me as usual. My best good friend Kristin reminded me I needed to update The Right Kind of Wrong last night or she’d fly down from Boston and kick my ass. Well I added that last part, but oh well LMAO! She probably would if I ignored her instructions.

It hit me while updating the main RKOW page that I wrote that story in 2000… it was late 2000, obviously after the Around the World tour in a 100 hours. I think I missed my actual BSB fan fiction anniversary.

I’ve been a BSB fan fiction writer for 10 years. Sure, I took a break, but whatever. Everybody deserves to take a break. Hell, BSB took a break! They’re still BSB. I needed my break, for my future, for my sanity, for me.

Well, whatever. I updated The Right Kind of Wrong with five new chapters. Also the link on Chapter 15 before lead to Chapter 10, so I fixed that. If you guys see any of those mistakes, please e-mail me and let me know. I’m not good at this web design stuff as I once was!

I haven’t had time to write anymore on “Superstar,” but I want to. My New Years resolution was to write and blog more, and I’m writing, but just for work. I haven’t really blogged at all or doing anything. I miss it something awful. I miss having that desire to just blog about something. I guess I can on my livejournal, but it’s not the same.

The past week or so I’ve been suffering from a lymph node infection. I went to the doctor Monday and ended up going to the ER Thursday night after work. I had a huge lymph node swollen in my leg. I was supposed to go to Daytona the next day to cover NASCAR Pre-Season Thunder as a part of the media, but that trip was cancelled.  Now I think it’s spreading to my other nodes. I’ve also just been really, really tired.  On my days off, I just want to sleep, which is what I did today.

I’ve also been busy rooting for the Minnesota Vikings and Brett Favre. They are off to the division championship game this weekend and if they beat New Orleans, they are in the Super Bowl. It annoys me how all of the BSB fans are all into Brett now because I guess Nick Carter likes him? I’m not sure when this came about but Favre was mine first. Carter can back the hell off. Mr. Favre has been my favorite football player for almost 16 years – long before I became a BSB fan.

Speaking of Mr. Carter, he will have a birthday soon. The big 3-0. While we were born the same year, I will stay 25 again.

And Mr. McLean is engaged? Again? And drinking? Again? I was told alcoholics are allowed to drink as long as they don’t go crazy. Um, I don’t think so. Get clean, Mr. McLean.

It’s now December! That means there’s 30 more days in the year. This month marks the 10th anniversary of my beginning in fan fiction. It was around Christmas, Christmas Eve, I believe when I began writing “Back At One.” The Web site just marked it’s 10th anniversary, so now it’s time to celebrate my beginning in fan fiction.

So because of this, I’m opening up a “Ask Karah” section for December. If you have any questions about my writing, my fandom, etc., just post here or use the feedback form!

Brige, yes that’s Carrie Underwood in the photo with Nick. She’s playing the main character, Taylor Daughtry. The story is based on a Taylor Swift song and all the chapters are named after her song titles, but that’s all. I would love to use Taylor as a character but she’s a little too young for my stories I think!

However, I have added some photos of “Taylor” under the “characters” link on the menu :-p

Thanks Jessi! Well after I stopped writing BSB fan fiction,  I started college again and I wrote some NASCAR fan fiction for a while, but then I pretty much stopped all together because of college and I was working two jobs, including the college newspaper which I became Editor-in-Chief of, which took a lot of work. I fell back into it (BSB fandom) last summer after I opened the site back up because I had almost two weeks off of school and work due to surgery. Plus, honestly, I just needed a break from the BSB fandom. It can get really overwhelming and consuming if you’re not too careful. I think I’m at a good place in my life now where I can be a fan, write, and still know what’s important in life.

Keep the questions coming!

But what you’re really wanting to know…. yes, I updated “Superstar” with Chapter 1. You’ll see that the writing style is a bit different than the Prologue and it’s like that for a reason. There will be several times in the story where it will go back to first person, maybe even a first person from Nick’s POV.

For the “The Right Kind of Wrong” followers, I will try to update that tomorrow night!

I will reply to all feedback. I have replied to some already but my e-mail, internet has been screwey today and I’ve been dealing with computer issues!

I’ve put up the Prologue to “Superstar,” which is titled “Tied Together With A Smile.” You’ll notice that every chapter in this story will be named after a Taylor Swift song.

To show you how thankful I am to all of you for your support and visits, I’m putting up a little teaser for the next story…. “Superstar.”

I would put up the prologue today but I need to add/change just a few things in it and don’t have time due to the fact that I work tonight. The newspaper industry never stops! I haven’t even had lunch yet!

Anyway, there’s that. Playing the lead character is Carrie Underwood. I’ll put up some photos like I did of Karie from “Long Trip Alone” later but hell, you all know what she looks like!

I’m really excited about this story. Reading over the prologue this morning, I can tell that my writing has changed, even from “LTA.”

I just wanted to say that after 10 years of writing this stuff and being involved in this community, that I’m thankful that I still have people who want to read what I write. It’s amazing to me. I’m thankful for you all, all of my friends (whether online or offline – or both in some circumstances), my jobs that I love so much, my Mom, my three cats, my new car. This year has been a life changing year for me and after a lot of searching, I’ve finally found myself, who I am, and where I want to be. All of you readers have been a part of that because if it weren’t for fan fiction, I would have never found my love for writing or journalism. So thank you!

Other than that, I see almost 30 peeps have voted in the new poll, but isn’t a “romantic” story almost the same as a typical “Karah story”? If not, explain lol

I found an older story that I started before “Long Trip Alone” last night. The girl’s name is Karie and she’s a journalist in Nashville. I think I’m going to continue the story line but I’m going to change her name and job and such, obviously. Her name won’t even begin with a K! *shocking* I really didn’t think about Karie and Karah when I picked out the name, I swear, I didn’t. But I have a good idea for this story, one I’ve been wanting to do for a while… so I think it may be a combination of all three choices on the poll…

Sorry for the non-update last week. It was a hectic week for me and frankly, on my two days off, I was a lazy bitch. This week I have three days off (including today – well yesterday by the time most of your read this) because I’m working Thanksgiving. I don’t mind, I hate holidays to be honest.

Anyway, as you can tell, I have updated the header image. I have also added a twitter link on the sidebar where you can add me on Twitter. There is also a new poll about what kind of story you guys want next. Let me know! As for the last poll… we had over a 100 votes! Apparently the majority of you think “Shattered” is the best song on the album.

There’s also some new BSB news in my life but I’m not posting it here just yet. Let’s just say my concert photography career is taking me to a new level in my Backstreetness

For the readers, I updated “The Right Kind of Wrong” with *counts* I think five chapters. I wrote *new* next to the new chapters and will be doing that from now on.

I will leave you with this video that cracks me the hell up. Not only do I love “PDA” now thanks to a dear friend (we laughed at it on the 6+ hour drive to Charlotte for the concert last month), but the guys are in BSB form – cracking jokes and being dirty!
