Your face, your eyes…

My 20′s were a roller coaster of ups and downs, sideways and that way, and every other way but towards the end, I finally found myself. The past few weeks have also been a roller coaster: vacation, Backstreet Boys, now going back to work.
But alas, turning 30 means a bunch of different things for me. I don’t know what exactly it is yet, but I’ll figure it out like I have everything else.
Tomorrow I have a long day.
I’m supposed to go to the wedding of two of my high school teachers who are renewing their vows on their 50th wedding anniversary. I did a feature about them in the newspaper a few months back and they invited me. She was one of my favorite English teachers and the woman who made me love English. I want to go but there’s a part of me that doesn’t. See, I don’t want to have to explain my whole name change situation to all the people I will see (who will be probably old teachers from my past). I legally changed my name around in 2002 or 2003, forget which, and changed my last name to my mother’s maiden name. I just get tired of explaining it to people. But I definitely want to go see them
I also have to work half a day at the newspaper, which will probably end up being more than half a day and shoot a concert, Steve Curtis Chapman, tomorrow night.
Just to let everybody know, I changed the e-mail address from x@my-confession.net to a Google account, karah.myconfession@gmail.com. It’s easier for me to reply to people while I’m away from my computer at home. I could get my old e-mail on my phone but it’s just annoying to type e-mail replys on a Droid Eris with a touchscreen keyboard lol
So on to the updates.
I updated “Superstar” with Chapter 15 – Your Face. I believe the story is coming to an end. There may be a sequel at some point because I have ideas for one, but I want to get the characters a break when this story ends. Plus, I might wait for the next Taylor Swift album. It’s supposed to be out in the fall.
As for my next story, I have no title yet, but I kind of like the music of an artist telling the story like I did with “Superstar” so I might try that again. With who?
Rascal Flatts? Backstreet Boys? Kelly Clarkson? Dierks Bentley? Keith Urban? Reba McEntire? Carrie Underwood?
Tell me whose music you think I should choose to base my next story on!
And send in feedback. I changed the form a little, but please, it really does drive me to write more, even when I’m tired after a long day of work, friends, and just life. It makes me feel like people appreciate it.

Hi, i’m 30 and i have to say, Backstreet are the greatest, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! I just found your site, and haven’t read any of your stories yet, i don’t know who you are, but reading what i have on the site, i like you already! I saw My Boys for the first time November 2009 at Newcastle (UK) – 2 months before i turned 30 in January. And don’t worry, you’ll love life even more when 30 gets here.
I’d love to say more, but must read up on you first.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I just turned 44 and let me tell you your thirties are awesome. How is your kitty doing that got hurt? Well I hope. As fro story suggestions how about Taylor Swift & Nick Carter combination. Like pop meets country. Just a thought. Either way I know it will be great like all of you stories.

First, I wanna say “Happy EARLY” Birthday. 30 isn’t that bad. but it does make you remember your teen years and 20′s going OMG! I did that stuff. and you see how you have revoled as a person.
Secondly, I would like to see Kelly Clarkson and Nick Carter. backstreet meets american idol but with a country twist. maybe make it the setting of backstreet plus a country festival and kelly is there with reba for there song “becuase of you” . just a thought.
