I’m gonna keep on loving you…

I just want to thank everybody for all the feedback and everything from yesterday’s update! Apparently we broke the record of having the highest number of people on the site at once – 40 – this morning around 6 a.m. I think the e-mail update going out late night/early morning helps. What do you guys think? Especially since I update late sometimes because of work.

I’ve been watching “Ugly Betty” a lot lately. I always seem to get into shows when they are about to go off the air and on the show, Betty reminds me so much of me. Okay, so I don’t have hiddeous hair and I’m not a brace face, but her desires reminds me a lot of me. While I didn’t always know that I wanted to be in the publishing world, her wants and desires reminds me so much of me.

I’ve overcome so much in the last *counts* eight or nine years. I found what I love doing, who I really am and what I really want out of life. It’s kind of like Betty’s journey in a way, from this nerdy little girl who only got the job because Daniel’s father knew he wouldn’t sleep with that assistant, to a beautiful hot shot at a magazine in London.

I hope all of my experience and changes have shown in my writing. I know my technical writing has become a lot better since the days of “Back At One.”

Now for some Ask Karah’s:

You do photography right? Is “Superstar” about you? – X

Yes, I am a freelance photographer on the side, but “Superstar” is not about me. I’m not a full-time photographer and have never followed a band on tour to shoot them. Some of the little quirks in the story resemble me, such as Taylor having a lot of photos of Nick on his solo tour, such as his first solo concert at Guavaween. I was at that show and have some great photos from that. That was before my photography days though. I will be getting to shoot the guys at least once this tour though, and hopefully two more times if I’m allowed to.

I really luv Right Kind of Wrong. How did you come up with that idea?

I honestly don’t remember. I know the songs and the title were inspired by the soundtrack for “Coyote Ugly.” I guess secretly I always wanted to get drunk in Vegas and elope or something and that’s kind of what inspired it. When I was younger I always wanted to be a country singer and so a lot of my early stories are inspired by that. It’s that Mary Sue thing lol

What is your favorite song on the new album?

I really love “Bigger,” “Bye Bye Love,” “Straight Through My Heart” and “Undone.” My favorite though is “Helpless” which didn’t make the album.

That’s all for now. I’ve got to go finish a story for work that’s due today :)

About Karah
I'm not your typical southern belle. I don't like peaches or sweat tea. I like dirty words and dirty jokes. I'm a '80 baby and I work in the media industry. I'm a sports lover. I like boys who drive fast cars and play the guitar. Backstreet Boys, Nick Carter, Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan and any 80's hair bands rock my world. I've been writing Backstreet Boys fan fiction since 1999, when I created what would become My Confession before Nicky's song ever came out. <3<3

  1. Betty says:

While the concept of the show was what drew my interest when it premiered, you know that having the main character named Betty and it being in the title also was a factor for me. LOL

Ok, I’m off to read the new chapter of Superstar…
