10.27.09 – Backstreet’s Back, baby

Hey everybody!
So I finally have two days off after such a long weekend which included heading to Charlotte, North Carolina to see the boys in concert Saturday night with one of my friends.
To say the least, it was worth the trip.

We arrived in Charlotte around 4 p.m. and got in line with some other friends who were nice enough and awesome enough to let us join them in line. When the gates opened, we ran for our lives. My friend and I were about four rows of people back from the stage. The opening act, Priscilla Renea was pretty good. I liked her and will probably download her stuff.
The next opening act, Who’s Bad? A Michael Jackson Tribute band was awesome, but performed WAY too long. They performed longer than BSB did.
During the MJ band, I ended up having to manhandle some drunk bitch who got in front of my friend and I. She was so drunk she couldn’t even talk. The security guard kept telling me he couldn’t do anything about it so finally he said to get in front of her. I grabbed her ass and slung her behind us. Then everybody behind us ended up doing the same thing. Oh and I forgot to mention that I grabbed her wig off and slung it on the ground. I swear that was my favorite part of the night I think.

The guys came on and performed “Everybody,” “Bigger,” “I Want It That Way,” “This Is Us,” “Shape of my Heart” and “Straight Through My Heart.” Nick and AJ were wearing pink which made me giddy as hell like a 10-year-old school girl. AJ didn’t have glasses on and his eyes were so bright and open.
It made me realize that I miss being a big BSB fan. For so long I just kind of went blah to it all. I didn’t go to the last two tours but I miss the excitement that you feel when one of the guys sings your favorite line in a song or Brian does that weird little smirk and wave to you or when Nick tries to act all sexual and just looks like a moron.
The concert, while short, was worth the trip. We came home Sunday and I went straight to work. Came home, slept, went to work yesterday and now I’m free for two whole days.
One thing did spark my interest though… I think I got inspiration to finish “Long Trip Alone.” I do want to finish it and I want it to have a great ending.
If this mirgraine I have goes away, I may try to start finishing it on my two days off.
I promised I would let you guys know how the concert went and I did!

I was on the left side of the stage facing it. On the front. I was with 4 of my friends, one of them had a nazi police looking hat on.

I was there. Luckily I live in Charlotte (because of school). I was on the right side of the stage. Then I got closterphobic. So I went and got a soda and went to the left side. Where one person was in front of me so I got really good pics also. I was excited I hadn’t seen them since the Millenium tour. I love thoes guys. K.T.B.S.P.A

LMFAO.. I was there too. I was on the front row. I heard ya’ll. I was like 3 people in front of you. If I had known that my favorite author was right behind me, I would have said something.

Aww! Were you on the left or the right side of the stage? Wish I had known I had readers there! Yeah, I had to deal with that chick, but I took care of it lol Nobody messes with me when it comes to the boys LMAO!

I’m the one that miss being a big BSB fan too. Time passed by and we grown up, more responsibility.
I just went overseas to see the boys last month. Now I can’t wait to see them again.

I love the pictures! I got to see them on the “Unbreakable” tour, and it was my first time seeing them in forever and I felt the same way watching them. You forget what it feel like until you’re back watching them again and their chemistry is just amazing.
Can’t wait to see where Long Trip Alone is going!

I’m glad you had a good time and I really enjoy reading your fics.
I have always been a big BSB fan, but put them on the backburner for a few years now. I bought “This is Us” and I love pretty much all the songs.
I was so happy to find out your site was back up. Keep up the good work!!!

I’m glad you had a good time. I wish I could have made it there-but live too far away with work obligations just couldn’t do it. Looking forward to the continuation of Long Way Home!!! I miss it!
